Great videos but they seem to have changed a lot of things in the current version. My version looks and behaves nothing like yours. I think they went backwards. What you're showing for the lessons make so much sense and it's so much more intuitive. What they have now is very clunky.
Hi Adam Many thanks for your excellent videos. I am truly appreciative of all your work( unpaid) and thanks for your emails and have nowinstalled Elementor and Astra and now Lifter LMS through your website so I hope you received something through the affiliate links. On this particular video at 25.09 you show the Course Outline inside the Course Options Page. For those people who ( like me) follow Adams tutorial frame by frame, to see the Course Outline ( which is not there now ) ( must have been an update) you click on the tab on the right of the page under update, there is a new button called Launch Course Builder. This opens the Course Outline in a new page. ( phew! I thought I'd lost all of mine) Cheers
Yes they have launched this new course builder, if you look at the playlist for this video series the most recent video covers the new course builder. I will say that I'm going to update this entire video series in January and the new tools will be Astra LifterLMS and Elementor.

Hi, i followed you and managed to create online course with LifterLMS. But yesterday, i updated the LifterLMS with the latest version and discovered later that it required PHP7. However, i have some problem migrating fully into PHP 7 at this point. Is there anyway i can find a older version of LifterLMS plugin to temporary allow the plugin to work at this moment?

Hi Adam, loving your videos. I have three concerns though.
1. Is it possible to make the lessons for each section be hidden, so you have the lessons appear by clicking a plus icon, and hide if you press a minus icon? It just looks like it would get messy if you have say 100 lessons.
2. After a student has completed a lesson, is there some sort of tick symbol that can be assigned?
3. Lastly, is there a way to make all the video lessons play automatically like this playlist on UA-cam? I think it would speed up the conversion rate of students completing a course.

There isn't a way for it to be hidden in an accordion. You can adjust the visual appearance of each lesson so it's not as tall. After a student completes a lesson they can click a button to market complete and when they are looking at the course syllabus that will be a check mark in that particular lesson. There is no way to skip to the next lesson after a video lesson is watched.
I added a membership page to the header menu and now all other menu pages don't show only the pages header and footer. The only page that shows content with the head and footer when I click on a menu item is the membership and blog. Now the only way I can see the other menu pages is to deactivate the Lifter plug in.
is it possible to put the pricing of course in different currency and not in dollar , say suppose, my all students are from India, and they will prefer one Country payment gateway and one Indian Currency , will appreciate your response
I cannot find your Lifter LMS to download with the PayPal integration, all i can find is the one you have to pay for. Where exactly can i download your version? I have tried all the different links gone to your website and I must be totally blind since i cannot find the download.I only find the one you have to pay for and all i have in my Lifter LMS is a manual payment.
I have not heard of LifterLMS, appreciate the heads up on that. Might have to explore this one in the future. I use a combo of memberpress and wpcourseware, but not 100% happy with it.
First off, I have been to your website several times over the past two years. What an inspiration! Now regarding the combo that you're currently using, I'm familiar very much so with both. First off MemberPress is awesome but there's a lot of things that I really hate about it, things I've expressed to the developer but they are aware, but they haven't made any changes. My main irritation is the checkout process, that is one ugly checkout. Now with your current learning management system, I have use that as well in testing, and I just found it a bit on the ugly side. Obviously this can be overcome with custom coding and styling. I finally settled on LifterLMS because I really like the workflow for creating courses and managing students. I am less interested in having every single variation of quiz questions, but more interested in a very friendly learner experience. I am not saying LifterLMS is without its flaws, but it's finally starting to get some really good traction and I personally can find one compelling reason to use any alternative learning management system.

And then how do I link that to the email I have for the website? And how could I let each person make a profile on my page or use their Google accounts? Thank you!!!!!!1
Well you can make any button go anywhere really. So you can send them to the course you want them to take or to the checkout for that course.
But how do I make a sign up page? for them to be able to create a profile?
Install ultimate member due. Then check the settings.
Hi Adam, thanks so far. I have noticed the lesson titles and section titles on the landing page for courses on my website appear in lowercase. Could there be a reason for that? I mean I type in the regular sentence case like "Understanding Stories" but it shows "understanding stories" in the front end. I also discovered it might be a similar problem to my sidebar, the sidebar "recent posts" section appears in lowercase as well.
I wonder if you have some custom CSS that is doing this or if you're using a different theme, there is most likely a setting that is causing this.

In my site is only showing one course per page! It shows a "page 1, 2 next" under the LifterLMS, and nothing on the side! To see the other course I am creating I have click on the number 2... while on the side is basicly a huge empty space.
How do I fix this? (The code you gave in tutorial is showing "6" per page, as default)
I screwed up there and fixed it later in a video. I think it may have been later in this video. I think the fix was to remove the " that wrap the number. But in the video I think I removed that portion of the shortcode entirely.

Hi Adam, I built a great website with your teachings also purchased inmotion hosting and learnt a lot by enrolling in ur other courses. But now with recent updates, two things have changed.
1. Cant see the "Editor" anymore in the appearance tab of wordpress.
2. The paypal express plugin you provided in the video tutorials doesnt work anymore. Just give u an option either to deactivate it or takes you to the plugin website.
PLEASE HELP !!!!
I think we discussed this over email. The editor is not there because of a setting in iThemes Security which you must've added.

Adam, really appreciate your courses and what you're doing here. I'm using Elementor pro, Generate Press and LifterLMS, but am getting a content area not found error and have isolated the error to the Lifter plugin. Have you run across this? Do you have any suggestions? I've developed the pages with the Lifter plugin deactivated but when activated the problem remains.
Somehow, changing the "courses" page permalink to "courses available" solved it. Thanks.
Yes lifter takes that page over and there is no way to use Elementor. Thats why in the video where I configure that, I use a page that is not controlled by Lifter.
Hi Adam! First, I want to say thank you so much for these great videos. I want to offer the first section of my course at a discounted price to let people see if they want to buy the full course. Is there a way to do this on lifterlms?
I would recommend splitting it up into two courses, where the first one is at the discounted price and then the rest of the courses at the normal price.
Couple questions - Is there a way to not show my featured image on the course page? It has my featured image which is my class name logo then the name of the class which is the same thing.
Also how do I change the color and type of the enroll button?
Yes you can do that with custom CSS. Unfortunately with some of these things are going to need to learn a little bit of custom CSS, but I do have a video on it. There is a step in one of the set of videos where I show you how to go into the customizer and then copy and paste a bunch of text in. What you are copying and pasting his custom CSS that generated the color scheme that you see. However, I also show you how before you copy and paste it you can do a find and replace in order to change the color scheme to what you would want to to be.
That sounds a little above my head. Would you be able to show me the line of CSS that would need to be changed?

Yesterday I've updated my Lifter LMS and ever since it is all messed up. My Course outline is gone and a new course builder does not work. It keeps loading and nothing happens.
Please help! My course release is on Sunday and now I cannot edit my courses and everything seems to be broken.
P.S. I've tried a WP roll back plugin, but it did not help:(
Sorry for such a late reply on this comment, I wish I would've seen it sooner. So yes you have discovered that they released a new course builder. After you do the update of the plug-in, you may experience things not looking or working right. The way you resolve it is by clearing your web browser cache. I ran into this problem and this was the solution for me. Sadly it would've been nice of them to put some obvious notice so that people that run into this problem would know what to do.

All their stuff really sucks! They rely on great branding, but the stuff they sell is riddled with problems and support sucks.

I personally like LifterLMS, but if you need all of their add-ons, it's definitely not the least expensive solution. The only add-on you really need is one payment processor add-on, so that could be PayPal or stripe. I don't use any of their other add-ons. It is a very well built solution.
New development as of Oct 6, 2017: I tried this today and it looks like Lifter LMS launched a new feature on the right side bar named "launch course builder" It looks like you have to build your lessons from there now instead.
Yes they did just update it. They did this to make it more easy to manage larger courses. I’ll try to put out an updated video on it this Monday.

I don't have this challenge when I created a new course, so problem solved! I do have another question. How can I change the language of the billing information like 'first name', 'city' etc.? Gr. Hilde
If you need to change the language on specific strings like that, I would suggest you take a look at my video on translating your WordPress website. I cover all of that in that video.

Hi Adam, yes my course is online THANKS TO YOU!! I am super happy with that Thank you so much! But I do have a challenge: Is there a way to add shortcodes of another payment Gateway (called IDEAL) into the checkout settings? In my country we don’t use ‘PAYPALL’ that much. Here we use ‘IDEAL’ and I found a pluggin called ‘Paytium’ that can start adding IDEAL to my pages or posts. Shortcodes can be inserted directly from the IDEAL button in the WORDPRESS editor. But then I have two different buttoms in the text, each with a different checkout, that is not what I prefer… How do I fix this? Gr. Hilde
Well this is where it gets a little complicated. There is the ability to add stripe, do you know if stripe is supported in your country? If not you will have to look at using the WooCommerce if they have the gateway available and then linking WooCommerce to LifterLMS.

You need the add on for LifterLMS to link it up to WooCommerce.
Awesome video! Have you ever used Zippy Courses? It's another WP plugin for making courses. I've heard good things about it.
Hi Adrian, yes I have used Zippy courses. I do find it expensive for what it does and that it has a very small user base in comparison to the alternatives out there. While I am a fan of Derek Halpern, I do find that he is trying to extract as much money as possible from as many people as possible.

Btw, I'm a HUGE Derek Halpern fan. I can't blame him for managing to extract large sums of money from his clients (I would love to develop the same ability myself). He's a master at it. So long as his clients perceive they're getting a good value, I'll continue to support him (although I might not ever buy Zippy Courses)
Yes I don't fault him at all, he is just doing his thing and I even support him when he posts a video which is extremely rare these days. I do think what he charges people has gone completely out of control, but if people are willing to pay that, then more power to him! I'm not hating the player or the game. I will say though whenever someone that is not the developer of WordPress plug-ins tries to have a WordPress plug-in developed, it never ends well.

Hey Adam, you are one of the best teachers I've heard to in my life. Thank you very much for your teaching. I have used this video series to create my own website. By around 22:28 video length of this video, you create the Paid Access Plan which is reflected in the course enrollment page as Free and Paid plans. However for me Free Access Plan is working completely fine, but when I try to create paid access plan, it is getting saved as Access plan but it isn't displayed on course page. I've also made sure the visibility is set to 'visible' not 'hidden'. Could you please help me solve this problem?

Hey Thanks Adams for replying. The issue is sorted, its actually because paypal plugin isn't working and manual payment option was disabled. I enabled manual payment option, hence now it is sorted. However Paypal plugin isn't working anymore i suppose.
And also all buttons are in pink, is it necessary to buy Premium Generate Press to be able to change this color?
You don't need to buy it if you don't want to. Just watch all the videos in the play list because I cover it.
LifterLMS no longer works on my site. I even tried deleting it and re-installing. But I keep getting an error message everytime I try activating it.
What does the error say?
