When my first true love broke up with me, this song was getting a ton of radio play (it was a top 10 on Billboard), so it was the Summer of 1989. That's what I associate the song with.
As a musician who is pretty much the same age as these guys, and can STILL shred like crazy, I'd say they KICKED ASS on this! Kip can't do as much screaming. But, what he DID do in this performance, he did well! MORE than acceptable! They did great - especially Reb Beach and Rod Morgenstein - just STUNNING talent!

I think you mean (closer to) 30 years ago. 40 years ago, they weren’t even around as a band.
