I went to Istanbul for the champions league final was in Taksim square on the Friday night had an a great time down there then got a taxi with our kid and my cousin and his uncle then I looked out the window there was a shop with its shuttters down cause it was late at night and on the shutter was Leeds united was here that sent shivers down my spine everyone in the taxi saw it on the Saturday i got up had breakfast just sat there and thought about those 2 Leeds fans who never came home it was emotional for me and my brother also we lost our younger brother to a car crash on his way back from Liverpool he should of been there with us I just had the feeling it was our day even at the fan zone spoke to a sound lad that was from Leeds
@@davidtaylor8534 great post mate gave me goosebumps reading it, and not gonna lie i teared up a little. good man. assuming you're a City fan and can I just say I love your club.
AkAtGG yeah mate I’m a city fan and some city fans went down to spot where those 2 lads sadly lost there lives so I felt really proud to be a city fan that day when my cousin told me in the hotel Saturday morning that city fans were down there already laying flowers it made it emotional but proud of fans our for showing those 2 lads are not forgotten
As Leeds fans we stand united in remembering Kevin Speight and Christopher Loftus who tragically lost their lives whilst supporting the club they loved. Always remembered lads never ever forgotten.
Lovely tribute!! I’m a Brighton fan and I remember this tragic event very well, we all love football and I get rivalries and banter, but it shouldn’t ever cost lives!! RIP Chris and Kevin 💙🤍
Horrific event with such tragic outcome. The boys will live on through the Leeds club and community. A beautiful video to honour two lads just supporting their team abroad. MOT.
R..I.P. Chris and Kevin. Very harrowing to hear this in detail. I'm sure home game after we had fans from all clubs here in support. Will never forget that. Sad times and sad memories.
Wow this is heartbreaking to watch. I was only a child when this happened. My thoughts are with Chris and Kev's families even after all these years. Hope they're both march on up there 🤍💙💛
As a Turkish I find this only tragic, I don’t attend football matches since those events because I know the reputation of Turkish hooligans very well. Not much has changed since then despite many clubs in Turkey trying to eliminate the hooligan presence in the stadiums, however these thugs are still active outside the stadiums. I only wished those two lads would have sticked to their own business. Turkey is not like Europe, there are revenge killings, knife culture and short tempers, you simply cannot stroll by , act the way you want and expect people to just take it.
@@bodoor8172 These 2 clowns disrespected Turkish flag in İstanbul, and they just faced the consequences. On the bright side the whole Great Britain now know not to disrespect Turkish flag in Turkey.

Beautiful tribute, and has had me in floods again. We'll never forget. We have to stamp on hateful comments and chants more than ever before, for any club including ours. RIP Chris and Kev. ❤
I've supported leeds since '86. There's so much here I didn't actually realise. The scale of the attack by both the instanbul public AND their police force is incredible and disgusting. How on earth did the game go ahead the day after?

I used to sing the Munich song when i was a kid back in the 70's, i read a book a few years ago called The Team who wouldn't die, which was about the brilliant Busby Babes side who perished in 58, i was singing it in ignorance when i was a kid.
I've no words for this, I remember it and I'm glad the club and fans keep doing things to remember them. Shame on Galatasary and shame on the Turkish police.

Let's be a little honest. yes, it's sad that two people died, but don't act like two angel died. Especially the world knows the events caused by English hooligans at that time. Fortunately, such incidents have decreased now.
