Say what you will about the movie, but the comic book character Steel from the death of superman storyline was actually my favorite of that bit. He doesn't try and pretend to be Kal-El. Doesn't make any claim to BE Superman. He instead takes on the moniker Man of Steel, makes an ironman suit basically, and simply says "I'm trying to honor his legacy and fill the void that he left, saving who I can. Nothing more, nothing less." Which yeah, I liked that.

I rented this unironically back in the day on VHS. I got to the point where Shaq first rides around on the cycle and that kid is like "Whoa!" and that's when I turned it off. It was just too stupid. It's interesting to see that it got even dumber leading into the ending.
