Here is the young phenomenon Greyson Chance making a surprise entrance inside the auditorium of the PS22 Chorus!! We have him pose as "Brian," the son of Ms. Laurie when he comes in, and I quickly break into a version of Paparazzi before the (majority of) group knows what I'm up to! (The chorus only learned their part right earlier that afternoon, and did remarkably well!!) Midway through the song, Greyson pushes me off the piano and breaks into his brilliant version of the song! Needless to say, the kids go duly berzerk when they finally realize what's going on!! (Sarah's & Dominique's reactions alone make this video well worth the watch!!)
Greyson truly impressed us all with his prodigious musicality and extremely personable good nature! Make sure you check out the absolutely UNREAL version of "Waiting Outside The Lines" that features Greyson backed by the PS22 Chorus!!

your students are very well-spoken. as a third grade teacher, i'm trying to get my students to "speak like scholars" and your students truly do so - they are so articulate and respectful. props to them for their minds and their outstanding musicianship and talent.

The SWEETEST thing in this video is that not one, but two kids jumped up to pass the girl the Mic at the start when her lap was full. Without even being asked! What wonderful children!

But more than that I love how he is so amazingly talented but completely normal, not full of himself, I mean these kids are full of talent too and their history is not very far from his, so he really can set an example for them !

Dear PS22,
I am 13 years old (my bday is in 12 days so im gonna be 14 soon) and my 9th grade teacher showed my class you guys singing True Colors and said "these elementary student sang with a lot more emotion and a lot better then all of you. They sing because they love it and you can tell that thats why they sing." She was right. Your class sings better than my class because you have a lot more emotion and alot more talent than us. I love you guys and keep pushing forward. :)

I can tell his voice will drop fast. The sound in his voice is already pretty mature sounding, so it will only get more mature as he grows up. At his age, my voice was pretty young sounding. I'm 17 now and I can still hit some of the high notes he hits.

I like that you promote creativity, yet still control your students.
I only wish that there were more programs and teachers like you to promote the arts in inner (and outer) city schools.
@Ninhaku Because what makes this kid so good is that he can sing pretty high and not sound bad like most singers nowadays. But once he loses that quality he will just be like everyone else in the world. If he can sing well as a baritone than good for him, but what makes him unique is his range.
Amazing...like a modern version of The Langley Schools Music Project...wonderful. It is all thanks to a music teacher who can bring out the talent and excitement in his students.

OMG! This kid can play the piano very well and sing very well. Did he make the Paparazzi song or something? Cuz he's really good at playing the paparazzi song and his voice even sounds like he's the one who made the song Paparazzi.
