  • Welcome to the Leasing.com review of the all-new Volkswagen T-Roc R with Howard Ritchie. In this exciting T-Roc review, we've sent Howard to a special Volkswagen event where he had the opportunity to test drive all the different versions. And just to clarify, there isn't really a museum involved in this, in case you were wondering!
So, which T-Roc is the best? According to Howard, the 1.0-litre engine version is all you need. But secretly, we all have our eyes on the T-Roc R. With its impressive 315 horsepower, smooth 4-cylinder 2.0 petrol engine, and stunning looks, the T-Roc R is the true star of the lineup. In this review, we'll not only cover what it's like to drive the T-Roc R but also provide insights into all the other variants available.
The T-Roc R offers an exhilarating driving experience with its powerful engine, precise handling, and sporty characteristics. Whether you're cruising on the open road or tackling tight corners, the T-Roc R delivers a thrilling performance that is sure to leave you wanting more. However, we understand that the T-Roc R might not be for everyone, as it comes with a higher price tag and a sportier suspension setup.
For those looking for a more economical option, Howard recommends the 1.0-litre engine version. It may not have the same raw power as the T-Roc R, but it still offers a capable and efficient driving experience. The 1.0-litre engine strikes a good balance between performance and fuel economy, making it a practical choice for everyday driving.
In this review, we'll help you discover which T-Roc variant might be the best option for you based on your preferences and budget. We'll delve into the features, technology, and overall driving experience of each version, allowing you to make an informed decision.
Leasing a T-Roc can also be a cost-effective way to get behind the wheel of this stylish SUV. We'll provide you with valuable information on how much money you can save if you choose to lease a T-Roc, including details on lease terms, monthly payments, and any special offers available.
So, whether you're drawn to the powerful allure of the T-Roc R or prefer the practicality of the 1.0-litre engine, our review will guide you through the world of the Volkswagen T-Roc, helping you make the right choice and get the most out of your driving experience.

We would love a like or a comment to let us know what you think between the T-Roc or the Tiguan, it really is a difficult one. The Tiguan is quite a forgotten proposition since the T-Roc became so popular for Volkswagen. Right now the cheapest T Roc starts from around £250 a month and the Tiguan around £282 a month.
As always with all our car reviews we would love a like or a comment. Each time you comment it enables more people like you to find us! And if you subscribe, the bell icon sends you a nudge when we put something new up.

QUIZ: IF MONEY NO OBJECT... TROC-R OR HIGH SPEC TIGUAN?

    • @LiamAB2000

Oof… that’s a really difficult one… I have a Troc R Line and I think I’d go with the Tiguan in a very high spec. A bit more room, and the centre console is a bit more plush.. but there isn’t much in it for sure

The T Roc is a truly great car. If only VW would get rid of those horrible haptic buttons on the steering wheel.

I'm considering moving from my Tiguan to an R T Roc. How are you finding the Haptic controls on the steering wheel long term? Warm Perth Regards

@@davidebbs2797 hehehe sorry for this first part love them everytime I hit the R button it goes and stays in race mode so have to use rotation dial In console for eco modes
Their are bigger things that shit me more than the haptic wheel and that is the flat piece of plastic (bonnet release)to the right of the go fast peddle when you come of the brakes(hard) you tend put your foot on it and not the go fast peddle.
It is lighter more fun to throw around I’ve got the blue inserts so it looks flash inside as we’re not getting golf R here until mid to late 2024 and Tiguan is well just dated and heavy it is really fun.
I’ve come from a Q2 AUDI to this and as I said above I’m in love ❤️don’t need the trick diff it goes fast and the blue turns heads
Their are only 4 buttons I use on the wheel I use Rrrr, volume, next song, and heated wheel, yes I know the Aussie guys go on about you hit them going around corner it truly is not a game changer
Give it a serious look and no doubt if their is an update (new buttons)we’ll be able to retro fit them…….Norman

This is the ideal car for *_MP's who'd rather hide their wealth_* after it's been revealed that *on average* from *1st October, 2021 to 30th September, 2022,* they each -spent- stole just under *£209,000 just on expenses.* _Not including the healthy £85,000+ they all ready have as a salary!!_
Another great video by Howie though. Showing us that he is still number one in car reviewing 8-))...
I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a -great- better 2023 than 2022 was 8-\\...

A really great video, I really enjoy the content, thank you for it. I’ve had a 2021 T-Roc R for three months, it’s pre-facelift which I prefer inside. It’s a cracking car - great quality, super quick and will do 40mpg if you’re careful. Thanks again Howard

Great video as usual. I've just changed my 3 series BMW for a Mk8 Golf which I love. I wouldn't rule one of these out for the future though.
I've found the VW dealership experience so much better than BMW as well

I downsized from a 220PS Passat so went for the 1.5 DSG. It's just about quick enough but the premium for a 190PS + extra 12 weeks delivery swung the deal.
Went for V2 so better seats and parking tech.
Been reliable enough. No issues with infotainment. I don't use Android Auto or Apple Car Play. Stereo is good.

The Tiguan is a way better car. But the T Roc is nice and if you get a decent bit of power, mildly exciting too. 1 litre plus 5 passengers = bicycle speeds though.
