- In this video you share with us the joy of discovering that the windscreen A pillar on our Range Rover Sport L494 is not clip on but glued on... these bad boys are not going to fall off or get stolen in a hurry ! but then we discover that the glue from Land Rover is £120 a tube ! such madness !

Geez , I live in the bush in Aus. Regularly get rocks through the windscreen. Pretty sure you need to get those off to replace it. Bet the local wndscreen dood doesnt know that. Probably add a week to the job and $$$$$' to get it finished. Have to be glued for rattling, should use single sided adhesive foam backed stuff like weather seal so it can do that job and not destroy the part.
Yes it does not feel like the best way for fixing an A Pillar on !

Hi I managed to remove the A pillar trim without breaking it. What kind of glue should I use to reinstall without buying the expensive dealer glue?

Simon. I have a horrid squeak from that A pillar. Think it needs replaced or re-fitted? Any advice greatfully received.

Got some glue from Wurth for £3.... new pillar on order. I think the video needs to stay as a warning to others..... my goodness that water stank !

Great video. I bet many RRS owners thought of replacing those A pillars as paint goes dull. Guess we should just buff it!!

When I was trying to take mine off I started to feel the resistance and thought I must have been doing it wrong, hence why I asked. Never thought they’d be glued on!
The water is also a little concerning.

Holy smokes - glued on. At first I was thinking that someone earlier hacked it back together. Nope. 110 pound tube of glue. Wow.

@@L663 when you said it was a factory fit I couldn't believe it .. I have found on my Discovery 3 ive got a rattle around the screen would you know if it is the A pillar covers as you guys have a lot of different Land Rovers and may know more about them than me .

I had to have a new windscreen on my Discovery 3 and they replaced the A pillar trims as they are bonded on.
A new windscreen is so cool when you have one fitted.... everything is so crystal clear....
