I love this song so much and I am very happy with the victory of Klavdia. Her voice is so beautiful. She was my big favorite from the first time I heard it. Good luck Greece ❤❤❤❤❤
True. Fokas is a great director and choreographer, and we will forever be grateful to him for giving us some memorable performances in the competition for various countries. However, it's time for him to step back and let someone else take the stage. I wouldn't mind him having a secondary role like a mentor or something,, but I don't want him to be the official director of our team in May.
Fokas Evaggelinos was doing the staging and choreo for ALL of the acts. ERT said that they tried to keep it simple and fair to everyone, so nobody stands out because of staging. They didn’t even allows them to have props on stage, just dancers. Let’s hope that they will amp things up and we won’t fumble this again. 🇬🇷🧿
Hello from Greece 😄😀😁im so happy which Klavdia won ❤🎉🎊✌️🎈🌹😃😄😀😁🙌👌🏆👏👏👏👏👏i love her ❤😍deserved it 👍amazing song and so beautiful her voice too ❤👌✌️Klavdia is so beautiful girl amazing ❤🌹🎈😍🎉👌
the dancers with the tail of the dress create the ancient Greek spiral. The Spiral, which combines the shape of a circle and its Dynamic movement, symbolizes Time. As part of the smooth endless line it also symbolizes growth, continuity, the rhythm of breath and life itself. In the metaphysical realm it symbolizes the regions of existence, the various modes of an existence, the wanderings of a soul in manifestation as well as the final return to the Center.
The song draws inspiration by the history of Pontiac Greek and their uprooting after WW1. It speaks of the loss of homeland and the search for a better life. Asteromata, the starryeyed woman/girl, was often used to describe women with beautiful and impressive eyes at that time. We are mourning but we try to find strength and hope for the the future. The songs is beautiful, but the staging needs to make the message clear. Thank you for this great reaction video.
Unfortunately we can't say any of this to the Eurovision contest because they changed the rules and they don't wank any references to politics.... Even though it's a part of our history...
So... Song 10/10 Presence 8/10 (I need more heartfelt emotions) Staging 2/10 So if the staging is going to be amazing in May and I trust in her & her team creativity, this could be my winner this year
@@ninanikoletou1668Fokas Evangelinos was the stage director and yes you’re absolutely right. Seriously he needs to retire. His ideas are so out of fashion
I heard that Fokas didn't want to make someone be more stunning than another and wanted to be fair with all the participants! But again, I hope for many changes on staging...I hope someone to see all those comments about staging! Klavdia was flawless... especially on acapella part...she slayed! Plus, I don't mind about her glasses...is her personal style, but something has to be with the director and we need more visuals! We don't need dancers specifically but something to show how powerful this song is by it's own!!❤ If we put dancers on it at least they should move.........
I'm expecting a revamped staging like Ukraine's last year. Vidbir's staging for Teresa and Maria was lackluster and in Malmö was probably the best staging of the show. Just let Fokas go and miracles might happen!
Oh wow, Greece finally decided not to send a Greek immigrant's kid born anywhere but Greece 😂. Very nice song btw. To me this is a top 10. Btw, if anyone can tell me what Asteromata means 😅.
@@abrielrobertsson4160 Marina is half Greek though to be fair and grew up in Greece. Diaspora Greeks shouldnt be neglected though. Even Paparizou grew up in Sweden. The ones you mentioned though barely even seem to be culturally Greek haha.
Klavdia giving Nana Mouskouri realness, Love it! Song and vocals 10/10 . Staging not so sure but then I’m sure they will work on something amazing for Eurovision stage. People keep comparing this to Oniro Mou, can I just remind you all that the huge difference is that Klavdia has a much stronger vocals .
U should see the comments of greeks on the ERT youtube videos from the final, expressing huge disappointment for the staging 🤣🤣 I wasnt expecting anything actually; it s the national final, less than a month for a director to do 12 songs, and we knew that they wanted to keep it as simple as possible not to favor anyone. As u said, it s a song contest, the important thing is the song, and the song is flawless. I think we need dramatic effects like Jamala in 2016 - the song has a similar meaning anyway. A dark or red dress, and since it s a lament/dirge i would also say no dancers. Just maybe a couple of instrument players like Serbia 2004 or Denmark 2013. I trust the greek team will do its work and we ll see something amazing in Basel :))
you are great! i really enjoy yr videos! i love yr reactions! the v is pronounced as v and not as u like the italian/spanish/latin equivalent. and the accent is on i. asteromata(female)=star-eyed. greetings from greece
Finally, an objective reaction. I of course wish her the best of luck, after all I am greek, but this isn't the type of song I would pick up my phone and vote for. I liked other entries more.
I have a feeling that Klavida will have the same fate as Jonida. The song is very good, I really enjoy it but I do not think it can end up in top 10. If the staging is right this will end up somewhere between 13-18 in the final, if not then 2018 will repeat itself. Anyways I think greeks should be proud with this entry no matter the placement.
Obviously the song will have a different direction on the Eurovision stage. The director simply had to direct all 12 in 2 weeks. Now they will have 3.5 months to think about how to present it on stage. Let's not be hard on her because she didn't perform the song the way she will perform it in the Eurovision final.
The best choice! Welldone KLAVDIA. But we neew a better staging and an elevating revamp in the second half of the song, more beat, more strings!!! And there we have a TOP3 place for Greece!
LOVE FROM GREECE DEBAN AND WILLIAM ❤.... THANKS FOR SUPPORTING KLAYDIA...SHE REPRESENTS THE BEST OF GREECE MELODICALLY AND HEARTLY ❤❤😊😊 THE LYRICS ARE TOTALLY POETIC...THE ONLY THING MISSING IS THE RIGHT STAGING...IS LACKING A LOT ❤ FOKAS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT TOTALLY...HES GOT TO GO AND HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WHOLE SHOW...WE NEED NEW ERAS FOR THE FUTURE...❤
Song and vocals are stunning. There are some striking images with the staging, but they hold for too long. They need to work with a stage director who can bring in some fresh ideas and flesh out the concepts Klavdia is trying to explore. I think the jump suit looks nice when you can see the whole look, but when you are close up on her it just looks like she bought a turtle neck at H&M or something. I respect if she doesn't want to flash a lot of skin, but I think she can work with designers to ensure that there is visual interest in the close ups as well.
Perfect song. The staging though needs a fresh perspective, maybe a contrast of black and white (the dress to be black in the beginning and then all white to signify bad and good) and portraying her as an angel (visual of wings) in the chaos of the bad things happening in this world such as Tempi, wars, people forced to leave their country. And hair should be a braid like an ancient greek goddess. Greek elements need to be inserted as well such as the sea, lighting up a candle when praying, greek mothers, birds, boats, wild sea, pain and hope.
I was hardcore fan for her to win. I’m sorry, but these glasses have to go. Her vocals deserve a grand stage and a spectacular performance, not something that looks like a high school performance.
Amazing song but the staging is unfortunately boring and it can flop and not qualify. Her vocals are powerful and flawless, but the song and the staging should have a "wow". Hope Greece improve it and Klavdia won't finish in the semi-finals like Yianna Terzi.
About the lyrics: this song talks about leaving homeland and moving abroad. The struggles of living away from home and the homesickness young people feel. A huge number of young people started moving abroad and still do since th financial crisis. All the young power of the country leaves for financial reasons leaving their parents behind and this song laments this fact and describes the will to move back home and the sadness of the Mother who misses her Child. 🥲🥰
@@MsMinoula No, it’s not about death; it addresses themes of displacement and refugees. Coming from a family of Pontian Greek descent, she has expressed how the song resonates with her own heritage and family history. In an interview, she shared, “Our country has experienced these emotions, and my family has lived through them. I am connected to the song because my family are refugees, and my grandmother has shared stories from the past that have influenced me.” Additionally, in a Greek interview, she mentioned that her entire village community had experienced the same struggles, which is what has shaped their strong bond and close-knit nature as a community.
