DX6i configuration is the setup for the Hexakopter. Depends from one hexa to other, from one controler to other. Some controllers use 5 channel, other need 9 channel for fly Hexakopter with full optionals.
I was wondering if you had any set up videos for the dx6i for airplane's? I watched the ones you have but they all refer to helicopters and not airlines.
Hey Tommy Lot of newbee's out here who start off with airplanes trying to get into the hobby. We need more tutorial on airplane set ups with the DX6i. Seems like you are a copter guy. Thx Charlie
HELLO I have a Taylorcraft. It has no flaps. I want to use the aileron for take off flaps. Once in the air I can switch off the flap switch. Again it's a Eflite Taylorcraft N4417B. Using the DX6I TRANMITTER.ANY HELP. Thanks
Hi, is it ok to adjust the differential whilst in flight? i know they say if you reverse a servo you should rebind before flying, is this the case with the differential too?, will i have signal issues if adjusted mid flight? thankyou
Thanks for the quick reply, its for the flaperons, if i use aileron when the flaps are down its putting a lot of strain on the servo's, i know i could adjust the aileron travel but i still want some response, so while fiddling i noticed that the more percentage of diff i apply this limits the downwards travel of the ailerons but upwards travel is not affected, so i was thinking i could just up the diff just before i land, would you say this would work?
Hey! Is there an indicator about transmitter battery life on the main screen? Also how long does it take to fully charge the dx6i's rechargeable batteries? How do you know when it is charged? Thanks!
Hellow, I have the DX6i and need to use it wth my new hexa. The problem is that when I go on "monitor" and test all the channel, the Aux do not move in plane mode. I try every stick. On my receiver, instead of aux I have ail (second one). Tonight I even tested the orange receiver that write aux, but no change. I need the 6 chanel ( aux) to activae gps position. Maybe there is some setup to activate him ? Tank You.
I am thinking about getting this transmitter. When I fly 4 channel planes I use the left stick as the airelon and throttle as i feel more comfortable with this. I currently use the spectrum 4xe which allows me to switch between modes 2-4. Can you set up the dxi6 to do this. I do not want to move onto using the right switch as the airelon and elevators as it may get confusing and poss crash the plane. I know you can changr the mode on the 7s but this is more expensive .
sorry, i want to stick with this brand radio and plan to do air projects and water. i have a submarine that needs a radio but it has to be marine or can i cheat and use a rx that is compatible? is there a radio that can do it all? if thats possible lol. thanks cheers
Hello just wondering about this Radio Im looking to buy one.. but its too expensive here in Canada. Any of the experts here think that the price would come down eventually it been few years now.
If it is in perfect condition maybe. I have seen the DX6i's on ebay, working, for about $50 shipped to your door. They are still great little Tx's, just without all of the bells and whistles of todays newer Tx's.
RcHelpDotCom it’s like new. Might be a good thing it doesn’t have as many bells and whistles lol it’d be my first that didn’t actually come with a rtf looking for something to step up that’s easy to understand. I’ve been flying Helios quads for years but always been rtf
Before you pull the trigger on that DX6i, take a look at some of the used DX6 Tx's. It's the newer style and feels better in the hands. Of course this is my opinion. But you can't go wrong with either one of them over the RTF Tx's.
Oh, I know the issue you are having, but can't for the life of me remember what it is. I think it's that you are in Normal mode on the swash, but not sure. Come over to www.Rc-Help.com and post up as there are some awesome members there that will likely know what this issue is right off the bat.
@@RcHelpDotCom Thanks so much for getting back to me I think I have it figured out , have to put all the swash settings to act then it gets rid of that message inhibit . Cheers
I do not own the DX6i anymore, but I'm pretty sure it is backwards compatible with DSM2. If you have the DSMX version, I do not believe you will have an issue. I could be wrong though so check the compatibility of the receiver, or call Horizon to verify. www.Rc-Help.com
If I remember correctly (been a while since I have owned this Tx), you hold the roller switch and power on the Tx. Once in there, select the model you are wanting to clear then scroll down to Clear. Click and confirm. www.Rc-Help.com

Do you need to change your receiver in your heli to fly it with a Dx6i?

No worries, glad to help.
I don't understand the whole transmitter receiver thing. Will this transmitter work with any receiver?
Gerry C yes
How do I log onto the questionnaire
What is the DX6i configuration for an hexa setup? Thanks!
Good morning when I try to set my swash mix on my transmitter all the monitor gives me is message inhibit what have I done wrong thanks in advance.

Fantastic, I had a feeling it had to be a swash setting, but it's been so long since I owned a DX6i that I could not remember. Glad you got it sorted!
how about ar 6210 can use with dx 6i ?

Love slipknot
I saw some people running boats and trucks with this radio and as far as I know its just for airplanes and helicopters so...HOW?!
Knap hoor 😎
I'd like to unprogram my transmitter but dont know how. Anyone know?
The only way to do it is to clear each model individually. Thankfully there are not that many in that Tx. www.Rc-Help.com
Ok how do you do it

Sound missing
