- Semaglutide is sold under the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy, and it’s the most effective weight loss drug in history. From celebrities to world leaders, friends and relatives, everyone knows someone who has completely transformed their body with this drug.
WHAT IS SEMAGLUTIDE?

* It increases insulin, improves insulin sensitivity, slows stomach emptying, and reduces hunger massively

THE PROBLEM
* Non-diabetic and non-obese people are using/abusing the drug for cosmetic weight loss

Thank you for this caring cautionary message.
I have friends on this drug. Spending 500 to 700 a month. I get it I took amphetamines in high school, however having struggled with weight most of my life; giving up bread for long periods only to then binge on bread and I have exercised religiously since my late 20s lol 3 yrs ago I became disgusted by the animal abuse in agra and gave up meat and dairy. Lost all my excess weight. It fell off and now I eat bread daily 😊. I wish I 'd done this 40 yrs ago!!!
Hi Joy - oh wow, amazing!
So kind of you to do this.I actually got a prescription for ozempic. After much research the resultant side effects were to permanent and not worth it. So starting today I plan to go carnivore and join a supportive group
The research for keto and carnivore diets shows very disasterous long-term results and prospects. The only diet which has shown good results and success long-term is described in the "BROAD study" papers. Exercise should be added - which optimally should create significant heat/sweat and impact (as far as sustainable).
Wishing you the best...
So I’ve never heard of the board study papers . Any information would be welcomed. I am trying to fixe hormonal issues ,high blood pressure and progress knocked knees. I’m looking into a particular stretch program but it is very expensive so looking into diet to help
@@harmonyhelps1714 (my yesterdays longer comment seems filtered, so short version again) It's the "BROAD study" (PMC5380896) not "board". For a summary video and more look up "The Best Diet for Weight Loss and Disease Prevention". Also the video
"Weight Loss Drugs: Side Effects, Risks, Alternatives with Dr. Neal Barnard | Exam Room Live Q&A" about such diets vs the drugs. More science based videos regarding diet, weight-loss, blood pressure etc on these channels.

Thank you for this warning. I can absolutely see this being the next oxycontin or the next fen-phen. People are throwing themselves into this with little to no medical oversight. It is so important to remind people that health and weight are not the same thing, if you wreck your body to become skinny it'll still be wrecked.
Zand - Thanks so much for your support!
Hi, I’ve just watched this video on the sandpit and find it quite informative. Thank you.
👍
The msg is clear and right, thanks.
One question, why you have two watches 😂?
Hi G - two watches just totally unnecessary and reidiculous self-tracking;) I don't recommend.
I’m a new member of your online community. I noticed at the 2:40 mark, you state: “…a compounding pharmacy, not intended for human use, but people are using it…”
What does that mean? I get prescriptions from a compounding pharmacy, and all drugs that come from that pharmacy are intended for human use. Are there non-human uses for Ozempic? Are there compounding pharmacies for animals where Ozempic is manufactured?
Thank you for your time.
Hello Karl - there are prescription compounding pharmacies that accept prescriptions from doctors and then "experimental" ones selling to a gray market.
You shouldn’t buy any medications from anyone beside actual pharmacists or doctors. But these weight loss drugs could very well be a big net benefit for certain people. Some studies have already suggested, that people on these drugs experience lower risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. It’s still very early and whether these drugs are the antibiotic of our time or have long term negative effects is not clear for me.
Agered.
"So motivated to lose weight, they will do whatever it takes", except put the work in.
Hi Michael - it's easy to assume this when you don't have the problem. The obesity epidemic has nothing to with willpower.

No, I agree. It is a multi faceted approach about learning to delay gratification, culture change, understanding the effort of a 1 year horizon, mental resiliency, health food affordability, support, and wanting to make decisions that will benefit long term health. Everyone has their breaking point or starting point, but if you are willing to inject potentially dangerous drugs, surely you are willing to exhaust some other options further first.
👍
Semaglutide has changed my life. I had a BMI of 35 in march I now have a BMI of 26. Im on my way to a healthy size for the first time in 15 years. You can tell someone to wash their hands all the time but when they are infected they need penicillian. Semaglutide is to obesity what penicillian is to bacteria. Its been a miracle to me and i look forward to keeping the weight off with lifestyle alone once i get to a BMI of 24. Being able to use a tool to help get me to healthy has lit a fire under me to work out and maintain it once i have a bmi of 24, i finally see a path forwars thats not hopeless as before this, outside of a gastric sleeve, 90%+ of weight loss reccomendations fail over 3 years.
That's amazing... congrats!
6:29 if people are willing to do anything, why don't they start exercising, then? changing eating habits. Oh wait, that requires commitment and is actually hard, can testify to that myself...but a questionable drug is a way to go smh. Thank you for the video
Hi Tatiana - Some of the most disciplined and accomplished people in the world are unable to manage their weight. To assume this is lazy people is just uninformed.
It is dangerous
👍
semaglutide was discovered in 2008 and it has given a lot of doctors and patients new hope.
not only does it help with the sugar but it also helps with the obesity issue too.
i am 57 - 274 llb make and im 5'7 -and i would NEVER take an injection to lose weight or control my sugar.
so to each their own.
PLUS,there is NOTHING wrong with compounding medication!
doctors do it all the time. this video is making compounding medicine look like its illegal or should be.
shame on you for creating speculation .
