Super cool to see you on UA-cam! Your 4Runner breaks so many rules for what I normally like, but is still one of my favorite builds! Looking forward to seeing more.
Dope Runner man. I’ve been slowly building one up for the last 5 years. 2 kids will change priorities. Watching your videos definitely motivates me to get back on it. I’ll be in contact with you in some products you provide.
This 4runner is the inspiration behind the one I just bought a couple weeks ago. Been looking for a video on it everywhere. So far I’ve only seen videos. It just looks so good!
Hey man, You truck is a beast. Love it. You seem humble and down to earth which is equally rare and refreshing to see in these days. Be blessed. Cheers!!!! I Did Subscribe and hit like. Keep up the good work.
If you install solo motorsports stock length lower control arms and SPC adjustable upper control arms you can move the front wheel forward an inch before you start running into steering rack issues.
Quick question about the lift kit, looking to order the same kit from Sonoran with the 2.5 coils, is the kit plug & play or will I need to source other parts? Thanks in advance
Do you have stock spindles and ball joints? Or did you upgrade to heims on upper or lower? Custom UCA? If all stock, how has the ball joints and stock spindle held up to the 37s? I know with the Toyota spindles being forged steel(4th gen), they're pretty tough. But ball joints tend to be a major failure point on the 4th gens atleast
Dope rig my man. Keep up the good work. I just want to install 35's is there any way I can get away without chopping anything. I'm running spc uca 2 1/2" suspension lift. No body lift.
Nice truck! What's going on with the ziptie on the headlight? I thought maybe I was the only one experiencing problems with aftermarket headlight housings
I built these headlights about 2 years ago now and the little clip on the top right that holds the headlight to the back plastic piece wire out and now it won’t stay in. I tried using jb weld to hold it in which failed so now I’m going to have to get that little plastic piece from somewhere. Thanks for bringing that up! I totally forgot about it.
@@SnowboundCustoms for sure! I’m shaving that same problem.. I used my old piece from my old headlights and it worked for a while but with the heavy off-roading I do it broke too. Back to the zip ties until I thread a bolt through that hole..
If you had to take a rough estimate of your mods, how much did it cost you you think? I’m wondering how much I would have to spend to get my 4Runner looking like that.
Body mount chops can be sketchy, you may want to just get some lower control arms from solo motorsports. They move your wheel 1" forward...essentially making your 37's fit like a 35. Epic rig tho!
just out of curiosity why 37s? 35's are already huge for me.. The most i'd go on mine is 33's. but i'd need a little bit of a lift for that. Either way thought your 4runner looks SICK.
@@SnowboundCustoms I bought an 01 an it was built about like yours with 35s an I noticed the e brake didn't work so I checked on it an it was all unhooked in the drums and I saw a video that I can't find now of another guy that had to-do some mods on his cables... I just hooked it up today an haven't tried it but I saw yours an thought I would ask
@@lizardkidd801 that really depends on how much your wheels are sticking out. With the 35s I had a 16x8 -25mm offset wheel and a 1.25” wheel spacer and that rubbed. 33s wouldn’t rub much if at all
@@SnowboundCustoms I was planning -10 offset and haven’t decided on wheel spacer yet, I’d really like to clear 35’s what do you think would be the easiest way to do so

Nice video. Can’t wait to see more. Hopefully some trail runs.
Absolutely! I 100% want to make some trail run videos. Gotta tub the firewall first though lol

Nice to finally see a walk around of this 4Runner! Killing the game man🔥
Thanks a lot! I’ve been procrastinating way too long on this video lol
Ayy you chose Snowbound Customs! Your 3rd gen looks killer on video.
Ya I did! Eventually I’m going to go back to my story to figure out who gave me that name once I get merch made haha
Flexing on us other 3rd gen owners with the working clock
Hahaha
Sweet rig bro 2:44 spool that don’t get bound up and cut off a limb...

Thanks! Ya it’s nice to know who owns the rigs lol
Great now I need 35 s on my 4runner now
Looks clean. Like it.
I follow you on tictok. I love this rig. I have a 97 runner that I hope one day will be as nice as yours.
nice rig dawg!
I hope to one day have a build this badass, I have a 90 4runner with a 3.0, love it to death! Lol
It takes time! You’ll get there
Let's pump up the algorithm!!
Haha thanks a lot
Great build!

man im loving it, do you plan to sell somewhere down the line? would totally buy
I live your Toyota 4Runner
Nice rig man. Looks awesome. Your turn signal do there have a relay? Thinking about buying one from SRQ.
Yup sure does
Bro it looks awesome how much did you spend on that 4runner ? I have one 1996 3rz fully stock. No dents on the body

You’ll definitely want to at least hammer down the pinch weld! If you’re driving on the streets it should be okay
2.5 radflos all the way!
I kinda wonder how much of a difference it makes!
@@SnowboundCustoms want to drive mine?

Perfection
Are the turn signals plug and play or did it take a bit of re wiring?
Just cut off the old turn signal wires and connected the new ones. It was only two wires to attach

If you had to take a rough estimate of your mods, how much did it cost you you think? I’m wondering how much I would have to spend to get my 4Runner looking like that.
The most expensive part was gears and lockers ~ about $4k total with the compressor. Everything else was another $4k
Body mount chops can be sketchy, you may want to just get some lower control arms from solo motorsports. They move your wheel 1" forward...essentially making your 37's fit like a 35. Epic rig tho!
Already did the BMC now along with a tub. Going to combine it with some SPC UCAs eventually to move the tire forward a bit
🔥🔥
What year it’s that Runner??? Thanks
2001, sorry for late reply lol
What was the mpg difference like changing from 35s to 37s, also were you running the 5.29 gearing with 35s?
I still haven’t had the chance to check it out. I think it went from 14 to 12/13. I’ll see when I fill up again and yes I had the 5.29s with 35s!
Next time you drop the skid have someone burn a 4 inch hole to access the engine and tranny plugs
Nice, truck!!
Thanks a lot 💪🏻
What gear size do you have ?
Sick! Have you thought of dual transfer case?
Absolutely. One day but today is not that day lol
Snowbound Customs hell yeah same here lol

Here’s the thing. 35s look huge now but once you put them on, they start to look small. So ya, that’s why 😂
@@SnowboundCustoms you have tire dysmorphia. it's like body dysmorphia but instead of your muscles, your 4runner wheels will never be big enough 🤣
Have you had any trouble with your e brake cable when flexed out

Just do a 2in body lift and you probably won't have to chop as much in the back. Seems more practical.
Trying to avoid a bodylift! Also I just uploaded a video doing exactly that, chopping the back up lol

What camera u using to take pictures of ur car
I use a Nikon D600 with a 70-200mm lens but for video I mostly film with my iPhone 12 Pro!

Roughly how much would you say you put in for the total build?
Probably $9k total? Lockers are 3.5k, wheels/tires 3k and then everything else

-12 off set doesn't look that bad. I wish they makes-25 off set
Same actually
Was is rubbing in the rear at all with 35’s?
Yes it was. Probably a 1” body lift would have taken care of it. If I had less offset they would’ve tucked under the fenders
