I have a theory on why David's dad didn't give a shit about the blue driveway. This might be stupid but who cares? So I think David's dad was color blind and he couldn't see that driveway was blue, and when came back seeing them using dish soap to clean the driveway he must've appreciated that and rewarded them with hotdogs.

It actually is kind of impressive knowing that David and Brewstew created the color blue because blue is a primary color and primary colors can’t be created from mixing other colors that aren’t the other primary colors.
We had to do a "lab experiment" back in high school where you combined a bunch of salt solutions. Certain combinations resulted in insolubale salts forming which gave you all kinds of funky colours. My guess is that something similar happened here.
I'm pretty shit at chemistry tough so don't quote me on it.

I had a chemistry set when I was elementary school. It came with all this straight glass tubes that you were suppose to make into droplets and bendy tubes. My father had a blowtorch and knew how to use it, and did all that for me. That is as far as I got with the chemistry set. To this day I have no idea how they were selling something to kids the involved needing a blow torch to set it up properly, or what you were suppose to do after you had all your equipment.
