I was addicted to porn for 9 years starting at my youth. From the moment I started felt so ashamed of how I viewed women. I had spent hundreds of nights in tears. ADD made the addiction much more difficult and lonesome. While these tips helped, I would always fall again and again, week after week. I did everything: daily mass, confession, prayer, spiritual direction ect. Still fell. It wasn’t until I completely surrendered my will and concentrated myself St. Joseph and became a child of the Holy Family that I’ve now been gracefully purified at age 20. Surrender. How? 3 steps:
    Follow: commandments, church, video tips
Focus: Always be thinking bout Christ, scriptural imagery**, prayer, adoration
Fall: let go and fall into the arms of Christ, acknowledge the failure of human efforts, He’ll carry u out

I had to guard against habitual sin. I came to God saying, “I can’t control this on my own. I need your help to say no to myself and yes to You O Lord. I give my Life to you.” When I got to that point where I gave it all to God that particular sin left me.

Very important topic. I don’t think I know any lads my age (26) or younger who weren’t exposed to pornography before adolescence, or girls for that matter. I was baptised and confirmed at the Easter vigil, very glad to have found my way to the Catholic Church. One thing that’s helped me with habitual sin is building a habit of praying the Jesus Prayer with my breath and keeping a rosary ring in my pocket so if I’m walking somewhere or have a spare few minutes I can easily fill that time with some silent prayer and keep my mind on the Lord so it doesn’t stray. Good video and the examination of conscience will be useful, cheers Amber.

An amazing weapon against temptation is...as soon as it starts: saying over and over "Jesus, Mary. Jesus, Mary. Jesus, Mary". Very powerful. Another one: crossing yourself several times. You can combine both

I am eighty years old and i just love watching your channel. I am amazed by your knowledge on the subject. God bless you. You are giving others the benefit of what you have learned. And this is just what other young people need to hear from their own generation. You are such a brave person witnessing to the truth of the Catholic Church. We are so often ridiculed for our beliefs. I got off Baywatch three months before it went off the air by remembering that Jesus rose from the dead so I followed Him out of the electric grave of my dead sinnature by turning it off moments after Him and then had to learn to not turn it on again or plug it back in. What really solved it was getting my parents to check that I hadn't untied the electric cord. But it only worked for that one hurricane season.

I had a 13 year addiction to masturbation (self-r*pe) and pornography which i finally beat in an unexpected way.
Through the infinitely most important things (frequent Confession, Holy Communion, mortification of the flesh, removing occasions of sin etc.) i got to a point where i just had a specific psychological hurdle every addict has.
I overcame this hurdle by reading a very stoic book, which i purified (or baptized, as it were) from demonic content.
I am happy to say that I have followed the grace Our Lord gave me and have been saved from the grips of addiction.
To everyone struggling with addiction: Temptations might not go away, but you can *kill the addiction.*
I’m thinking of synthesizing the (neo-pagan) work with Fr. Ripperger’s magnum opus… it would take a lot of work…

I have this problem and I was wondering if you had any advice. In the past I have watched popcorn and since than I have completely stoped. But at times, it just haunts me! I could be cleaning or even praying and l randomly think about it and it makes me feel so so SO guilty and gross. And I just hate when it happens! I know God has forgiven me already, since I already confessed it and expressed the regret. But I get so frustrated when an image just pops up in my head when I’m just trying to mind my own business. Maybe it’s the devil trying to pin it against me to make me feel unworthy of Gods love. So when ever it happens I just pray or try to think about something else to distract me. This is kinda long but I would appreciate any help or advice, I’m genuinely just sick of feeling so bad when it happens. Thank You!!

God allows us to remember past sins as a way to lead us to great humility, by which even the greatest sinner may become a saint. (think of St Mary Magdalene) Pray to a couple Hail Marys when you have the temptation, cast yourself into the infinite ocean of God's mercy, and trust Him in great humility

To anyone strugglig with a particilar sin, i suggest learning about why it's harmful and exqct reasons why it's evil. For example, for learning more about porn industry i suggest reading book pornland by gail dines. She explains how come porn became so normalized and she exposes how exploitative the industry is. Once you learn you are not only harming your own body and soul, but you truly realize people in these videos suffer tremendously as well, you'll never want to have your sexuality dictated by pornography ever again.

    MARY'S APPEAL
    For the Immaculate Heart Triumph
"Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death."
"Make and distribute my green scapular as soon as possible, if given with confidence, there will be a great number of sinners converted, especially those souls who do not possess the true religion. They will receive many graces, to help them in finding and keeping the one true faith. Those who die wearing my sacramental green garment will be given a peaceful and happy death, and shall not suffer the eternal fires of hell.
Furthermore, I shall Bless on Earth, every heart who makes my green scapular wear it or spreads devotion to it, for it is My Immaculate Heart, therefore treat it with profound honor and respect. In addition, all who wear or keep about themselves my green scapular badge, are agents of my Immaculate Heart. Hence the evil one is powerless to harm those souls who clothe themselves in my love."
BRIEF BENEFITS - Green Scapular compared to the other Sacramentals
    - No enrollment needed just a simple blessing from a priest for any soul to benefit
    - One can give away to anyone in and outside the faith... even hidden from the individual and also please say the prayer.
    - Help a souls eternity especially those who are obstinate to keep it hopeful for everyone
    - Great blessing if worn in regards to wearing it but not a prerequisite to obtaining grace
    - When you feel your voice is not heard or one worries in regards to their eternity... heaven gives us hope for them in this sacramental
    - additional benefit: add Both Style Miraculous Medals for the purpose to give strength and signal graces to help souls when worn.
Please advise my username to get more understanding and to also obtain free ones to spread Our Lady devotion. Feel free to reach out.

Sin itself is always a willful commission based on free will. With how things are judged it seems to be a case of What you did do vs what you could have done because "Will + intent + focus = outcome" determines good or bad. The dividing point (which also allocates blame for who did what and why) plays in very specifically!!! It's based on actual awareness. If you weren't actually aware that
Growing past that by becoming a being who is no longer capable of "committing said sin" is how absolution works as well as how we are free'd up of repeating cycles. That's how we ascend. Playing a "let's pray and it's okay" game doesn't work. No mater how much you strap yourself to a rosary/sin tether, that does nothing to grow past a primal state. Having needless guilt strapped to that is not only a form of control but exaserbates looking to people for acceptance (under the guise of a church) instead of having you become your own intermediary and ascend as a being. (BTW: "Hail Mary" is a bastardization of an Older Orthodox short prayer called the Angelic Salutation. Lines were added on to take the praise of the Angels towards the Virgin to the groveling of people who can't grow past their primal nature.)
That means having thoughts (not carrying them out but just having thoughts) isn't a sin. You have to willfully commit/take action towards doing them as well as see an outcome for that to be good or bad. (You're supposed to be able to think about whatever due to free will.) that also means there is no "sin of omission" because people aren't mind readers and have no sense of how things are coming from the future into the now. (If we did, totally different story!!!)
Since the deal with prayer is the will + intent + focus revolving around the heart of the person praying, the worst and most ungodly people can get away with that because it's just words. They can even play act it.
Changing as a being negates you from tethering you to sin. That's about growing past a primal nature (which means detaching from the physical world and "what society accepts" as an influence & focus as well as for rewards, and acceptance. This is also about self awareness too.). That also means it's not whipping yourself into a state of "I can't do it because I'm a sinner" or making the excuses for blatant failures based on "I'm only human" just to go back and do it again. (The problem is that the "human" excuse is saying that you're aware but you are incapable of growing past a primal nature.)
Then again with an "approval meter" being done by a church body (who are just people) who's automatically telling you that you're constantly in the wrong (unless you're clergy) but ignores it's own history of actions and words... (Which is mostly war, lying and manipulation for conversion and power. Rome was/is only looking to reform the Roman Empire while waving Jesus around as a banner for their own will to be done. Tactics change, the consistency of what they're looking to do hasn't changed. )
What do you expect for a functional level of addressing, identifying and handing "sin"?
    Or if you'd rather...
The "Will + intent + focus = outcome" (keeping in mind of "what they did do and the awareness of the actions they are taking to do things" vs "what they could have done") in regard to how catholicism works makes that church itself a predatory narcissistic sociopath. What should you expect? (A church is only as good as it's clergy!)
To point out... Even under Catholic aspects for sin and forgivness, the church itself never really admits or makes up for any of what it has done historically. It rewrites history leaving out a lot of information for what it's caused (The Crusades are a great example of this!). It's never openly told the truth about the underhanded BS it pulls off (unless that has been a "dated practice" which they haven't been able to do for a long time. That gets used as a sales line for "We changed" while they're still looking to convert like catholicism was God's idea.) particularly in more recent history!
Otherwise, whatever bad they cause is just "not brought up" or brushed to the side for a full story to which there are just worthless sales attempts (using deflections & excuses with an undertone of "that's not us anymore" yet it totally is still them) to try to play innocent. That's not only "not growing past a primal level" but they can't even practice what they preach when they are caught.

    • @Infern0999
      @Infern0999 2 роки тому

You may want to check out the Orthodox Christian version of sin and forgivness. (That church catholicism split off of in 1055/the great schism. Rome had been trying to centralize power to itself and make sure nobility was "Rome loyal" for a couple hundred years before this split. Catholics took the name as part of their false claim to being "the only church" while Orthodox kept the rituals, doctrine, mystical/spiritual nature & understandings. Orthodoxy is actually the church that formed out of the Apostle Schools and formulated over time to the present. It was never looking to become "an empire" or carve out an empire through political manipulation and/or warfare. History shows that too!)
If you compare Orthodox Cannon Law to the Catechism, you're going to see a ton of differences! (You'll wonder "what the hell happened!?!?!" since the Catholics came out of Orthodoxy but decided to go the route they did instead.) Cannon Law is more humane, realistic, doesn't suppress human nature (it's mainly about growing past that), and doesn't at all come down to a guilt and control methodology like the catholics created. Sin is also not used to keep people feeling like they are low in God's eyes or so people feel a need to answer back to a church for approval (Especially from a church that has never had any true right or rite to grant God's approval or disfavor in the first place. Nobody actually can other than God!).

Umm can you back any of this up through God’s Word? We are forgiven through Jesus when He died for our sins on the cross. We can be set free from sin through the victory in Jesus. Going to mass, receiving the Eucharist, going to confessional or whatever, is NOT going to help. They aren’t even biblical.

pray the Rosary! and stay close to Mary. Praying the rosary and trying to say it more devoutly everyday really helped me in overcoming a past habitual sin that was the same as yours. It really helps. Also ask your guardian angel to help you in times of temptation. God bless you.
