Super appreciate mentioning whether a foundation has a fragrance or not! It doesn't always bother me if it's a light scent like the IT CC cream but I've bought some foundations before off of youtuber recs that I could not deal with the smell of! So I definitely look for that info in a review!
A lot of your discoveries with this foundation were spot on with that I experienced too! I did not enjoy the way the foundation felt on my skin and almost every day, wanted to just wipe it off! I had the hardest time not looking like a disco ball even after setting multiple times. Overall, it really just enhanced texture on my skin that I didn't even know I had but kind of like you experienced in the end, it wore much better when I did a full face of makeup and sat it heavier than usual. I ended up passing it to my mom because there are soooo many beautiful foundations out right now that perform much better IMO. Loved seeing your review!
I use the IT Cosmetics illuminating CC and love it despite the swatch looking like it has glitter I feel like it looks so lovely on my skin. I'd love to see a showdown of the CT and any of the IT CCs so we can see how they both hold up through the day🥰
Jamie, you have the best reviews on UA-cam, I really appreciate you! You’re never just like, “it’s good”, and that’s it, you know? Basically you’re really good at your job ❤️
I’m 58, and have normal to dry skin and loved this foundation. But, I only use about 1 pump for light coverage. I think too much makes it look and feel too heavy for me. I want to know what your mom thinks of it if she tries it 🙂
Hi Lisa! I am 48 and the same type of skin you described. One pump was definitely enough for me, too. I found it to look lovely and so blurring on the cheeks and forehead but on my nose, I couldn’t get it to work. A couple of foundations that do that you might also like are the Koh Gen Do in the red tube and MAC Face and Body. I also recently tried the Biologique Recherche serum de teint that provides some coverage and it works really well over my tinted Neova sunscreen (reversing the signs of sun damage with DNA ftw!) ✨💕✨
I used to use the CC cream, but on me, over time the cc turned a little more matte, as the day went on. I have dry skin, made even drier in the winter, so Charlotte wears well on me. I’m not sure it will be my go-to in the summer, but for the cooler seasons I am loving it.
You hit the nail on the head with your description of this Jamie!! I tried my sister's Beautiful Skin foundation a handful of times and every time I found myself bothered (?) and sort of desperate to take it off within 30 minutes-2 hours. This is such a bummer because I looooved how it looked on my skin and was SURE I was going to buy it. In the end though, I don't think I will because I can't see myself getting over that sort of "suffocating" feeling!
If you liked the YSL All in One Glow (I love it, I stocked up on it when I saw it being discontinued), then I think the Shiseido Self-Refreshing Skin Tint seems to be like an exact dupe, on my skin at least - similar coverage which is light-weight, but skin-perfecting (i.e. looks like quite a bit less coverage than the CT foundation), with a similar gel-like texture. The overall finish, feel and the way it wears (on me) seems to be exactly like YSL AiOG.
Also loved it had no idea it had been discontinued until I recommended it to a friend a few months ago & it wasn’t at Sephora anymore ! I believe they have it on ysl website still though! I picked up the new ct foundation & I do love it ! Isn’t as dewy as the ysl one was on my skin!
Just watched your Nars review before this. The Charlotte Tilbury looks a million times better on you! I was going to try so many new foundations this month, but I tried Charlotte and haven't been able to stop wearing it. One more thing to mention about that It cosmetics thing: It only caters for 5 skin tones? So sure, enjoy if you're one of them, I'm not.
I was debating between this or the new nars one and I went with Nars as I find them to be brill for complexion products in general and Allie Glines loved it in her review.
Can u try the new Nars foundation next? I really appreciate your opinion on foundations especially bc you have dry skin & it looks so beautiful on everyone. I also love that it’s supposed to have skincare ingredients in it too so I would really love to see it on you & your take on it? Also would like to see the new KVD good apple concealer too. Heard it’s nice for dry under eyes. Thank you in advance ❤️✌🏼
The heaviness you feel might be because you used two pumps. I use one pump and dot it around my face and then blend it out with a brush, or I pump one pump into my hands and apply it with fingers. The lasting power is definitely affected by the moisturizer I wear under it, and if I wear a mask that day.
That’s a good idea. New ones come out well before I use up the ones I have. (I’m disabled, so I’m not able to work, anymore.) I’m struggling just to simply wash my face and brush my teeth daily. It’s too bad some of these foundations-and other makeup-don’t come in (recyclable) half-size tubes.
@@flocali3270 I heard one disadvantage of the NARS is that the shade selection isn’t too great but not sure about the actual “heaviness” feeling while wearing it.
I have this foundation too and my skin is dry. I use a lot less than Jamie (less than one pump vs two) and sheer it out easily for a light coverage ❤️ It becomes full coverage if you use two pumps or more, like Jamie did in the video. I guess this is why she was complaining that it did not feel lightweight (when you use a light layer, you don’t even feel it on the skin)
Can you please do a video on foundations that you love that also last. Maybe look flawless for up to 12 hours that would really help me out thank you!!❤️
Unpopular opinion: We need to stop losing our minds every time CT launches something. The hype is the name. Sure she makes some great products like setting spray, powder, contour wand. But I feel the new NARS foundation is better yet not as hyped. NARS always hits for me. Also the Dior Forever Glow is great. If you're going to spend $44 on a foundation, it needs to hold up through more than a couple hours of not doing much.
@@Artliker1234 I have light skin with redness and my go tos have been the Radiant Longwear and Sheer Glow on better days. Love the new one but I hope it doesn't replace Sheer Glow.
Totally agree. Nars new light radiant foundation is Amazing and requires less work and wears much longer. CT beautiful foundation is a high maintenance foundation ..just saying!!
I used to have oily skin, now I would say I have normal to combo skin. I used to get only matte foundations, the CT beautiful skin is my first hydrating and glowy foundation, and I love it on my skin. It looks so pretty and healthy, I’m so happy with it 💕
Do I wear foundation? Never! Only skin tint. Is there any chance that I would buy that foundation? No, none! Do I watch every second of this video? Yes because it’s Jamie and she’s the best! ♥️
Love the comparison with the IT cosmetics and YSL! I always wanted to try those but couldn't as they do not have light enough shades. Will try the CT instead :)
I’ve tried the beautiful skin by CT and the It cosmetics cc cream, and definitely super similar! It cosmetics Cc creams was my favourite! However, since I find that the it cosmetics breaks me out I definitely was happy to find the charlotte one
What’s the powder you applied over top for the shiny-ness? 😍 literally I’m so dry these days and yet i went to a wedding this weekend and i looked ULTRA SHINY like AN OILY MESS with the lightings in some areas 😩😩 i had used the Milani setting spray because it makes my makeup not transfer but damn idk if i sprayed too much or what! I used the tarte rainforest of the sea foundation with an added oil drop because if not it was gonna cling to my dry patches.
Hi Jamie, you mentioned you have better long lastig foundations than This one. What are your recommendations for wedding foundation? Doubting between Armani luminous silk, Dior forever,.. Or this one? Thanks 🥰
Thanks for the video, Jaime! I own both the CT beautiful skin foundation and the it Cosmetics Cc Cream and love them both equally. I must add though that the CT one isn't as long wearing as it claims and it definitely doesn't last well with a mask on (but which foundation does, anyway?). I can't really decide which foundation I like better though. I'll find out when I run out of both of them, I guess. 😅
Thaaanks Jamie for this really helpful review. By comparing it to the itcosmetics cc cream and the YSL Touche Éclat you saved me some money🥰! You are the best! ☺️✌🏻
Jamie I'm about to go back to work since the pandemic started and I've just realized all my makeup is expired! Please please pleeeeaae make a video for those of us who have to start our makeup kit all over again from scratch, it's so overwhelming with all the new products and so much less money in my pocketsss 🥲🥲🥲
I love this foundation! I don’t get the glow that shows on your skin but I struggle with dullness in my skin, so that might be why? I feel like this sets down much better for me than the IT CC cream and wears better. I loved your review! I also really liked the comparison of similar products, very helpful!
This makeup look looks beautiful on you. 💖 Also i appreciate how detailed and how in depth you went with this review, makes me feel like i don't have to watch any other video about it, since you covered pretty much everything about it. Thank you! Also love that you mentioned it's fragrance free, since i can be pretty allergic to heavy fragrance so that's a plus for me.
Of all the people I’ve watched, you’re the only one I’ve seen compare it to the IT CC cream, but that was my first thought, that they would be similar. I’m glad you liked this! Someone below said you are their skin twin, and for me - I have oily skin - you are my skin opposite lol. I can pretty much tell if I’m going to dislike a foundation if you do like it! But we are the same shade so that’s helpful :)
Ms. Jamie - I love your content! Your reviews, suggestions and recommendations have helped me streamline my own skin care and make up routine. And can I just say, I'm living for that lip colour!!!
I have to be honest, I found this foundation wore heavy and dry on me. I'll still take my Givenchy prism libre foundation over ill others. I would like to know how the milk bronzer compares to their bronzing stick which i love?
Have you tried the Missha BB cream? I keep hoping for something like it that has a tad more coverage but can’t seem to find anything as good as Missha so I Always go back to it. Someone’s I had a heavier foundation to adjust colour and add more coverage. I liked it 100% better than it cosmetics BBC. Also I have been having trouble with bronzers and contours not blending flawlessly and patchy so today I added a bit of fenty cheeks out with a bit of MIssha foundation and it was perfect.
I love this foundation, it gives this amazing blurred filter look to my skin, but the coverage is really low. When I try to build it up with more layers, it can get cakey and emphasize dryness. But for a light makeup day it’s perfect all day long, even under a mask.
I feel like the It Cosmetics CC Cream is as thick as the CT but it's a bit stiffer and looks thicker on the skin than the CT Beautiful Skin Foundation.
I was wondering how you would like this. Your skin looks flawless. I just got this in. The mail this week have yet to give it a god, but I have high hopes after watching this review. Love the lip colour!
I do love the It Cosmetics CC, but I think I may pick up this new CT foundation bc of its shade range and perhaps a better match than the CC. Thanks for review, very helpful
Jamie, thanks for your thorough review always! They are super helpful. I am actually really looking for a medium cover foundation that feels light weight, for when I have to take professional pictures (for work) or when I am going to conferences and I have to be out and about all day.
Help a girl out--> i just got the It Cosmetics CC cream and i love it!! But i was wondering what primers work under it??? I tried the hangover primer by too faced and it didn’t go well. Can’t really use silicone products because it triggers my acne. I’d try a few but even buying sample sizes costs quite a bit…and i don’t want to waste them!! Please reply :)
Super helpful review and comparison! I actually felt like it looked similar to the it cosmetics cc cream before you said it! Would you be able to compare the Charlotte tilbury with the new nars foundation?
Hi Jamie 😃✨ Can you do a review of the L’Oréal true skin foundation!? It wears so beautiful on the skin! I would like to know your thoughts on it!!! Thanks 😘💕
I had the exact same opinion about the Beautiful skin, very beautiful when applied but it didnt stay beautiful for a long time. I have a dry skin (in winter) too😊
From my experience I have the it cosmetics cc cream og formula and love it and looks good on my aging 30s skin with big pores/dry skin but the c.tilbury didn’t work for me (stuck to dry patches and made pores look big) and came off on my mask even with setting with powder/slid around. Just my experience.
I had the same experience! It was soo hyped and I expected it to be amazing because it's CT, so I bought it early on with the intention of it becoming my new everyday foundation, but it's just too heavy on my face and settles into my fine lines after a few hours. Considering I spent so much money on it, I think I'll save it for dinners out or when I know I'll only be wearing it for a couple of hours (thanks for that tip!) I keep watching videos about it to get tips on how to make it work haha.
foundations that are “matte” honestly just look flat and dull on me, and this foundation honestly just gives a lit from within type glow and it still looks natural, it’s impressive honestly
It actually looked so stunning on you! My main focus was definitely the bronzer since my Fenty one is running out so I might need to grab that but nonetheless beautiful as always🥰
I have waiting for this review 🙌🙌 Thank you so much for your honest feedback (as per usual). Also, I know you’re a fellow sunscreen gal and I think you would love the Lira Clinical hydrating SPF! It’s AMAZING!! Sending all the love from California 💕
Thanks for such an in-depth review! I’d love to know what your go-to medium to full coverage foundations are when you are looking for that 10+ hour wear with minimal touch ups. I’m trying to select a foundation to wear for my elopement. Our skin types seem pretty similar!
Beautiful makeup look Jamie 😍 Liked your foundation very pretty on your skin with the foundation XOXO It's a shame that CT foundation didn't work out at the end of wearing it for many hours. Have Beautiful weekend XOXO
You always have the most interesting/beautiful nails ☺️ That bronzer looks gorgeous! The original MILK bronzer is one of my all time favs. I definitely want to try this one now- thank you! Xo
I have very oily skin I would say, but I have the same EXACTY feelings/review as you do about this product. I actually really enjoy it and think it does have a glowing, smoothing affect on my skin. I actually feel it’s very comparable to the IT Cosmetics CC but I feel like the CT one has more of a radiance to it. That said the CT actually lasts longer on me with my oily skin than the IT CC. The only negative I’ve found with the CT is that you definitely FEEL it like you said. It looks amazing in the mirror but it almost has the feeling of a thick sunscreen on your skin. For that reason I don’t think I would ever use this in summer. It would be a strictly winter foundation.
I'm okay with it being close to the IT Cosmetics CC cream. Really loved that product but I hated how much I needed to mix it to get the right shade for me. Charlotte could still use improvements in her range (the deep shades in particular) but it's better than 12.
Tried this foundation recently and it's okay not that amazing . Much prefer the Armani neo nude foundation, it's light like a feather and decent coverage
@@JamiePaige ok awesome! Thank you I can’t wait! I only like the tinted moisturizer from nars and there bronzer and concealer so I can’t wait to see what you think
I felt the same as you, I feel like it’s heavy on the skin and I really don’t like it. I liked this foundation but I wasn’t blown away, think it will be one of those that sits in the draw tbh. Defo feel it’s been overhyped. Great review, especially with the comparisons. I have the IT cosmetics and I prefer that to this 😊
I have combo oily skin with pink undertone and it does not suit my skin type or complexion unfortunately. Its the first CT foundation I have tried as her other foundations received mixed reviews. I tried it for 3 weeks using different methods and its ok at beginning of the day but a few hours later my skin looks shiny and I need to powder my face. Its too much work for a foundation to claim it lasts 16 hours. Something is not quite right...
It looks like any other foundation mixed with Hollywood Flawless Filter. I get the exactly same effect, identical glow. You can compare off camera and I'm interested to know if you'd think the same.
Nope, I do not find the CT similar to IT CC Cream at all. I returned the IT CC Cream right away. It was so greasy and heavy feeling. Like smothered my skin. The CT Beautiful Skin is not greasy at all. I like it but will not wear it everyday. I think the Beautiful Skin is meant for a nighttime look. In daylight it seems too glowy. *I do not use powder all that much. Have dry, more mature skin. So powdering the CT is not something I want to do. I have been testing the Shiseido Synchro Self Refreshing Tint and find it works much better for daytime looks. Also: both (CT and Shiseido) are definitely tacky. Neither feel as though they dry down. Both transfer. The only reason it doesn't is when people powder it. Love the color palette you used in this look. Super pretty. 🌿🕊️💕🌍
Any time products are similar (both in formula and packaging), I always look up the parent companies. IT Cosmetics and YSL are both owned by L’Oréal, but CT isn’t. I always find the business side of cosmetics fascinating.
Happy Friday friends! 🥰
Is it similar to Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup SPF 45 as well?
Super appreciate mentioning whether a foundation has a fragrance or not! It doesn't always bother me if it's a light scent like the IT CC cream but I've bought some foundations before off of youtuber recs that I could not deal with the smell of! So I definitely look for that info in a review!
Seconding this - major consideration for me due to my sensitive skin

I had the hardest time not looking like a disco ball even after setting multiple times. Happy Friday love! Hoping to hear your thoughts on the NARS one too 🥰😍
gotta try that one!!
Thanks for review, very helpful
very true!!
Thanks for the vídeo! In your experience the milk bronzer is lomgwearing? And transferproof? Thanks!
I appreciate u using this b4 doing ur review! I just picked this up & I have dry skin too so I'm excited to c ur thoughts!
Thanks 😘💕
the Milk bronzer is so pretty!
it really is!!
Thank you so much for this review! You do a fantastic job!
You always have amazing reviews! So thorough and your comparisons are spot on! Thank you for posting for this long, we love you 🥰
Can you tell me where you got your nails? I love them!
Tried it and I definitely feel it on my skin also, I much prefer the light wonder with spf 15 that also has 40ml of product and lasts longer on me!
I had the same experience! It was soo hyped and I expected it to be amazing because it's CT, so I bought it early on with the intention of it becoming my new everyday foundation, but it's just too heavy on my face and settles into my fine lines after a few hours. Considering I spent so much money on it, I think I'll save it for dinners out or when I know I'll only be wearing it for a couple of hours (thanks for that tip!)
I keep watching videos about it to get tips on how to make it work haha.
Thanks for being so honest ! 💛
Did Jamie mention what brush she was using for the foundation? I might have missed it!
foundations that are “matte” honestly just look flat and dull on me, and this foundation honestly just gives a lit from within type glow and it still looks natural, it’s impressive honestly
Hi Jaime! For shade reference, wich shade are you in the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the CT Light Wonder one? ♥️
4 in armani!
@@JamiePaige thank you Jamie ♥️ we are the same shade! 😊
Why are you so gorgeous,Jamie??! 🥰🥰
Thanks for such an in-depth review! I’d love to know what your go-to medium to full coverage foundations are when you are looking for that 10+ hour wear with minimal touch ups. I’m trying to select a foundation to wear for my elopement. Our skin types seem pretty similar!
LYS foundation right now!!! and the clinique even better serum!
@@JamiePaige amazing, I’ll check those out! Thanks so much! 🥰
Beautiful makeup look Jamie 😍
Liked your foundation very pretty on your skin with the foundation XOXO
It's a shame that CT foundation didn't work out at the end of wearing it for many hours. Have Beautiful weekend XOXO
HEY! Would love to hear your opinion on the NARS one and Chanel No 1
those are both next on the list !
Nars is way better!!
You always have the most interesting/beautiful nails ☺️
That bronzer looks gorgeous!
It would be a strictly winter foundation.
i'm glad im not the only one!! thanks for sharing!
Love the look today! Pretty colors, ones I don't usually use.. gonna have to try it one day! :) Happy Friday!
I did not like the CT foundation it settled in lines and seemed heavy I hope you review the new Nars one
Thank you for mentioning how the foundation feels!! I go through the same thing, it really irritates me when I can “feel” the foundation lol
I'm trying to figure out if I should get the CT Beautiful skin vs. Nars Light Reflection
When they come back in stock 😏
Was hoping you’d try this out!
What are your thoughts on the new nars foundation? Would you ever try it? I always love all the foundation that you love so I’m just curious.
def need to try it! gonna order it today
@@JamiePaige ok awesome! Thank you I can’t wait! I only like the tinted moisturizer from nars and there bronzer and concealer so I can’t wait to see what you think
Please try the new Rose Inc skin tint!!! 🥰♥️
Isn’t the IT cosmetics one fragranced? Could be good to note since the Charlotte tilbury one isn’t
Hi Della
Your skin looks amazing (before makeup)
Beautiful look! I bought this foundation.
You can compare off camera and I'm interested to know if you'd think the same.
hmmmm you're not wrong with that comparison!
If this foundation is like It CC but without the 7 billion fragrant plant extracts and essential oils, I definitely want to check it out!
Tinted moisturisers tend to he thick and creamy tho, foundations tend to be very liquidy which I hate
Hello Lala
That 4n looks quite warm. Thoughts?
definitely on the warmer side of the neutral spectrum lol, but it worked for my skin tone!
Hi what shade is your concealer?
Any time products are similar (both in formula and packaging), I always look up the parent companies. IT Cosmetics and YSL are both owned by L’Oréal, but CT isn’t. I always find the business side of cosmetics fascinating.
