this is a huge W for those of us who like to put a quarter in our keyboard and autorun through the woods while we go heat up a hot pocket, this is not a paid endorsement of hot pockets it's just what came to mind
Don't forget the Torch as you W key with your quarter. Heat up while you Heat up.
Take your watch off. It should sit on the w and shift key .

It makes sense too... so many times I've held onto a few stacks of 9x39 and 9 times out of 10 never used it.
Now it'll be more likely to get a mid game 9x39 wep.
They need suppressed capability. I'd love the dmr and the new one if you could use and actual suppessor
They should work on door animation. Whenever I run from a zombie or I can pushed on a wall when closing it’ll glitch real nasty.
Yes this had been real bad since around 1.20
I've even been DCd it glitches so badly.

I'd like to see an update that gives base building an overhaul. I mean, you see all the possibilities on modded servers for one but I'd like to see more options for people like myself who are mostly lone wolves and therefore prefer not to rely on big visible wooden structures and such. I have a good spot on the server I am on now but I would like more storage and protective options. The same with tools... maybe there could be a system of crafting short lived rudimentary tools like you can craft a backpack out of twigs and burlap? Just a thought 🤔
I totally agree. If base building is going to be on official, they might as well give it a proper overhaul.

They NEED to nerf the damage zombies do to clothing. It is obnoxious and tedious and provides nothing but a nuisance. Sometimes the devs just fix things that ain’t broke and it’s stupidily annoying. Anyways this update looks promising tho

Its like that to increase the tension between survivor, and zombie. You can choose the silent, safe route or go in guns blazing and loud.

Indeed! I think, although they are a smaller team, basically they have different groups working on different things. The updates are kind of pushed out with some teams completing stuff in a certain area, so it can seem a bit random.

the weapon raise thingy sounds good. i never understand why is it not like in arma where you can put through your gun in windows(if there is no glass) and you can use it even as a stand. let see i hope it will be less annoying haha. nice video NitNo see ya 1.24 hype
Agreed! I also think in Tarkov the weapon just gets pulled back instead of going up
Bipods and resting on ledges would be a huge game changer.
The new ballistic helmet with the cover is dope, i was hoping they would add that but thought it was a pretty random thing to wish for them to add!
Agreed, I only wish it had slight different stats to make it unique from existing ballistic helmets

They will be!!! I should've added that, there was a tweet with an image of a dude rocking an Sval with a 30 rounder
the helmet is an american PASGT helmet with a marpat camo cover. the new weapon is an sr3m. it shoots 9x39 and takes vss, as val and sr3 magazines so vss mags hold 10 rounds, val mags for 20 and sr3 mags hold 30 rounds of 9x39. these magazines are all backwards compatible so you could have a vss or an as val with 30 round mags if they add the 30 round sr3 mags. there is also 3 versions of this firearm. first one was the sr3 then the sr3m that will be added to the game, and the sr3mp which is designed to be used with a visor. you can detach the stock and mount it onto the base of the pistol grip and that will allow you to look through the sights when using a visor.

I haven't heard many people talk about the fact that the SR-3 can accept a suppressor, it just doesn't come integral to the weapon

A bunch of people should say something about changing gates to proper doors and give us digital code locks if rust can do it on console so can dayz also maybe even give us foundations or floors.

IF that is the new weapon, that's an SR-3/SR-3M. Roughly the same size as an AKS-74U, but chambered for the 9x39mm round.

Ah sorry, that is not my specialty. I don't own a console. I try to just stick to info that fits for both.
Edit: oh but google the "dayz wiki" then goto the controls section. They have console controls.

So I can literally just use a tree as cover as long as I'm in the cone? Improvised face cover? Definitely a snow map coming.

Trees will be the same as they where. The tree change is about performance. Basically to a normal player, the difference will be particles flying up when shooting through branches, where as before you could probably shoot through branches without particle flying out.

They only things i want added to dayz are a ffp mil reticle optic and bipods. I want the OG dmr from the arma 2 mod.

They are working on Arma Reforger, which is a test bed for Arma 4 and a good chance... eventually DayZ 2 will be build on top of that.

To be honest, a change to the SKS sound was not really on my to-do list. I still like the new sound... if all weapons get updated sounds though it would make more sense.
I'm gonna miss the original sound for the sks it's probably one of my favorite weapon sounds to hear in game. Something about hearing in the distance just always got my feet moving faster for danger

Good question. There has been no mention of a wipe. Very unlikely.

I see the notes say something about playing with friends but doesn't seem like anything is new there. Am I missing something?
in 1.23 it introduced "Spawn bubbles" maybe that's it? Basically every X Minutes the spawn town changes. So if you and a friend countdown and re-spawn at the same time, you should spawn in the same town.

@@Nitno so if a friend and I play together but leave the server, the only way to get back together when joining back in is to die and respawn together. Correct?
@@135Jaeger531 Well you could also travel to each other. But if you are talking immediately then yes, both re spawning again at the same time would... in theory... usually put you in the same town, although sometimes on opposite ends of town. (just a heads up, community servers have the ability to disable this feature).

@@Nitno yeah it's horrible.... Solid defense of a base, server pretty much locked down. Some new group tries to move in, fails then posts our location and server online and dupers show up and thump it to nothing and just run away when you try to push them. Pretty lame. Need me a non duping server

@@Nitno for example when you play stardew valley you can open your private server to play with your friends with no problem but when you want to play with your friends only in DayZ you need to do too much thing and use hamachi to play with your friends and i believe thats the thing which hold players to buy DayZ ( like my friends thats the reason they don't play DayZ)
