Yes, can you compile a list of suggestions for homeowners to prepare a home (not the pet part) for a sitter? What about things we prefer not to be used, cabinets or rooms we prefer not be entered or opened? I've read airBNB's recommendations but do we really need to pack up everything? What would sitters like to make their job easier? I would like their visit to be enjoyable and that we're all happy at the end. Thank you.
I have had 2 housesitters now and I just love the win-win it can be. Getting “free” house sitting allows us to travel a little more. The interactions from THS have been amazing. Super cool and interesting people. I can’t wait until I can be the house sitter!
Same for us on the other side...house sitting means we can splurge on other things because we save so much on accommodations. I hope it continues to go well for you!
Thank you so much for the informative videos. I love to travel but have very limited funds. Have signed up with THS and applied with a local person. The sit is still 3 months away so I'm still hopeful. With your advice, I will get in touch and see about meeting with her.
I'm skeptical; we live in the north and travel south for the winter and have 3 cats. Are there really people willing to stay in our rural home (desirable in summer) but cold in winter. Isn't there an 'oversupply' of people requesting house sitters in cold locations in the winter? If you pay for the service and get 'no takers' aren't you wasting your money?
They discussed this in the first one and a half minutes of the video. No money changes hands. The housesitter receives free accommodation. The home owner receives someone looking after their pets and house.
Hello GoWithLess friends! It's nice to be back after a month away.
Do you have any house sitting questions we can answer?

Excellent information.

So I'm confused
How do you make money house sitting in your area?!
Good question. I’m curious as well.

Thanks so much! I watched several of your videos & signed up with your code. My husband & I already have a local sit lined up for next week.
they were referring to 'rover' where you get paid for petsitting
Good info but, gosh, she’s quite loquacious.
