This has to be one of the genuinely happiest videos you have ever posted. You sound absolutely starstruck, as it should be, by this simple piece of paper that holds the history of our country. And for the public servants that turn their noses up towards the people, this town and most of their public servants proves to hold true what was envisioned by our founding fathers. There needs to be more appreciation for where we live regardless of who is voted in to be the main spokesperson for the country. There are still countries out there that control every single aspect of their people from birth until death, and that is sad and wrong. One day the “boss” of their country may decide they don’t allow green anymore and “poof” no more green. Suddenly half the population is in violation and they have no chance to have a say in the matter. The people here still have a voice despite the tyranny taking place daily. Thank you Josh for letting me geek out with you to see that piece of paper, which is More valuable than anything I will physically ever own. And for those that keep trying to erase our history, we will be doomed to repeat it. The point is to learn from our mistakes so we don’t do it again. Growing and learning is all we as people should be expected to do. The world will never be perfect, people will never be perfect, so why project misery when it isn’t necessary.

Preach!!!! These public servants are the perfect example of what it means to serve the public with respect, deference, and with a sense of incisive community standards. They did not alienate you, further the divide between government and the public, or violate ur rights in any way. Portsmouth was an exemplary town and should be a standard for all governmental offices nationwide. I absolutely adored these public officials!!!!

t was actually one of the auditing videos I most enjoyed watching. It even felt like a movie from a story where a dream came true, where tyranny finally lost the war and everyone lives in a world where public servants serve the public with love and honor. Where there is even a Karen playing her role as an antagonist in history, reminding us that however peaceful and respectfully free a nation may be at the moment, by nature a government, the state itself tends to gain more and more power over the people. And that we must never let our guard down and remain firm in the vigilance against the tyranny that lies intrinsic in the very structure of the state system, which depending on the people who govern it at the moment, can explode ferociously and unexpectedly like a volcano, being able to bury for a long time our right as an individual with a pitiful tyrannical lava.

The thought of these men and women risking their lives and fighting to give future generations a freedom they never had makes me very emotional.

I have a feeling that one or two people in that public building had watched a few cop watcher and 1AA auditor video's and said to them selves. "We should have a meeting about this what they are about. The real thing is, is that they got it right and now know and act right. You're not the enemy. Regardless of a meeting. consensus or not - They got it right and what a rare thing to witness.
That lady though: Director of first impressions. That was beautiful and appropriate. When you said to her that she must of been working there since she was ten. That hit home because it was exactly the same thing I would of said to that lady given the same circumstance's.
That document that, that lady showed you is profound, grandiloquent and living. So many countries around the world do not have that founding blueprint that the protects the citizens from their own government and lets the government know their boundaries. My own country used the American Constitution as an example to found our own constitutional rights. Almost a mirror copy. Almost, except for the 4th amendment. We're not so lucky there.
I understand and stand with you for the geek out over that document. I love it too. It's just that really (unlike this town's representatives) most government officials and servants aren't so learned or appreciative of it and what it means. Which means what you and all the other 1AA and cop watchers do is so important. Well done and thank you. For the good and the Bad!
Regardless of the statistical and obvious; one bad apple in the bunch, the woman at the end did not spoil that whole bunch. Still tears in my eye's over this encounter. Thank you for bringing this encounter/video to us!
    Armchair Auditor out.
