This is a 54" Casablanca Verrazano ceiling fan in the Brushed Nickel/Chrome finish, shown with a set of Maple blades and the integrated light kit. The model number is 650545D and the serial number reads BL150103 which dates this fan to have been manufactured February 15th, 2001; being the 103rd produced that day. This fan features an XLP-2000 induction motor and utilizes a Casablanca W-28W wall control which provides (3) speeds and full-range dimming.
Obviously inspired by the Verrazano suspension bridge in New York, this fan is essentially what you'd get if you combined a Casablanca New Orleans with a Casablanca Stealth. Introduced in 1999, this fan was perhaps the most unique model to debut that year, eventually being featured prominently on the cover of 2001's product catalog. Originally introduced in the commonly seen finish here; Brushed Nickel/Chrome, the Verrazano was also offered in an Architectural White/Bright Nickel finish a few years later, with Graphite/Bright Nickel also being introduced in 2004. At some point in the later 2000's, the Verrazano was eventually reduced to just the Brushed Nickel finish which later featured Mahogany blades instead of the earlier Maple finish.
I really mean it when I say that this is essentially a contemporary version of the New Orleans. The motor sits in the upper portion of the fan which drives a shaft/flywheel in a similar fashion to the New Orleans model. The flywheel and switch housing are then concealed by the blade hubs which mount to the top of the flywheel and a halogen light/pan secures to the switch housing, similar to a Stealth.
Overall this is a really cool, attention grabbing fan, but aside from aesthetics the performance is average. Even with a 14-degree blade pitch the air movement feels lesser than other standard Casablanca's made around the time this fan was. I'd say high speed feels like a similar output to what medium speed feels like on a Panama. Performance aside the build quality is certainly top tier, my only criticism is that the badges on the end of the blades where the metal rods connect to are plastic. Unfortunately when I found this particular fan it was set fully assembled on the ground which led to a warped flywheel and slightly bent motor housing. Due to the warped flywheel there is some wobble on the higher speeds but not enough to warrant a repair, though this model would be a great contender for an aftermarket metal flywheel. Overall this is still a really cool fan and a prime example of Casablanca's design innovation that they were so well known for during their peak.

I think these were actually introduced in 1999 alongside some of their other heavily design focused models.
