Casablanca “Venus” Ceiling Fan

This is a 52" Casablanca Venus ceiling fan in the Snow White finish with the corresponding Snow White blade set and the K24 Venus light kit, manufactured by F. Fabbian. This fan features the Inteli-Touch wall control system and has been updated to W-32 electronics. The model number is 24G11T and the serial number reads CB25202, which dates this fan to have been manufactured March 25th, 1992; being the 202nd fan produced that day.
It’s undisputed that the design of the Venus paved the way for numerous ceiling fan designs in the decades to come. Formally introduced in 1989, the Venus was the next big contemporary endeavor by Casablanca. The Venus was introduced at a time where contemporary design would flourish in the coming 90’s, particularly with the concept of concealed blade mounting which this fan uses for a modern, seamless look.
Overall this fan is very well made and operates nearly silent with little to no wobble. The air movement feels about average and my only few criticisms really come down to the difficulty of installing this fan on low ceilings. Unless you are using a longer downrod, you really need to assemble the fan on the ground before hanging it up due to the fact that mounting the blades requires access to the top of the fan. Even then, getting the canopy hatch on and wires connected is a pain due to little clearance between the fan and ceiling.
Regardless this is still an iconic design from Casablanca’s lineup that bookmarks a time where contemporary design was beginning to emerge.

For me it wasn't just the blades but aligning the top plate to screw in are a gripe but when its up fully, its a spectacle. Mine too got updated with w32 as its an 89 model in its original installation. Runs a dream wherever I have hung it!
