If you are looking to serve in combat, then I would say Marines. In the Army, you are brothers; in the Marines, you are one. The Marines do not have the best quality of anything, but the level of dedication to their craft is irreplaceable. Of course, there are specific details of each branch you should look into carefully to find what you want, but I usually say to the combat guys that if you are a true warrior then the Marines is where you belong, BUT never join the military to be cool; you will be disappointed-its a job-do it because you love it, not because you hope everything else will love you.
The marines put more emphasis on small unit leadership than the army. I feel that you are able to make more of yourself in that system than in the army. But the problem is there’s always going to be some SNCOs rocking high and tights that will sacrifice innovation and creativity to sustain “marine tradition”. Best take your time and think it’s gonna be 4 years of whatever one you pick.
Current climate I’d recommend the Army. I served in the Marine Corps infantry during the GWOT and it was very formative for me joining at 17 while the war was already on. Looking back now I think the Army will give you more training opportunities in the “in between” period we are in.
These are regular marines. They just got helmets that only SOCOM had previously. They are also getting the M27 with a 1-6 lpvo which is pretty nice. The marines are a smaller force and more specialized than regular army infantry which is why they are upgrading some things and look more advanced.
@@premiumquinn yeah lol. I guess it makes sense if they will be doing the exact type of fighting that they plan to do, but they will still get deployed to the middle of the desert and then need their tanks back and be dependent on the army.
@@rileyf8036 Exactly. I suppose the DoD figures we're going to be fighting in Taiwan/East Asia next so they wanted to switch the Marines Corps back to an amphibious doctrine, but we'll see what happens
First couple of rooms they were way too slow! Check out the guy at the end of the video at around 2:35 that is shooting with his thumb unwrapped from the pistol grip!!! That guy must think that he's a UA-cam sniper!!!

They traded tanks for high cuts and 416s
It says in the video "31st marine expeditionary unit"
