Sorry but this guy doesn't seem to bright.. he should had a better saw,and the axe didn't seem to sturdy. Why on earth would you put wood in the stove outside of the tent. What happens when it gets cold out. How are you going to put it in the tent if the wood stove is to hot...
I'm halfway through the video and i saw a few things that need a little bit or work. From the way he record the first 5-10 minutes of he going to the place, the editing, and the places where he puts the camera.
I have respect for him because i wish i could be out there doing what he is doing, but he absolutely seems like someone who is afraid, nervous or doesn't know what he is doing. For instance the thing you already point out, or the fact that he didn't choose the "right" equipment. I cannot help but feel bad and laughed when the comically small and bright orange shovel came into frame, because it is way too small for everything, and the way the shovel folds seems awkward.
He is not one of those big bombastic channels of winter camping like The Outdoor boys, but he doesn't need to be. This is for the creator of the video: Keep going man, i believe you can do better than this not only for us the viewers but for your overall experience camping. I came here hoping to see a thrill video of someone doing awesome stuff, and i'm pretty sure you can do that stuff, even if someone says otherwise. Just remember, you can always do better and we all should.
