California needs independent prevention of wirdfire department.
PG&E had a directive from the year previous that that line should be shut down when the wind reached a threshold. They ignored the shut down and the fire started As soon as the fire stopped the CEO that did not implement the power shut down recommendation retired with millions in compensation. Look it up
This is a repetitive pattern that I have seen as a PG&E field employee of twenty years in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s called a #GoldenParachute.

You can’t avoid accountability. Can you avoid gravity? What goes around comes around.
They are paying attorneys thousands of dollars per hour out of the settlement to distribute said money to the victims.
As long as the state of California is literally a PG & E stockholder, the state of California won't allow PG & E to fail. So, it'll do all in its power to ensure that they don't have to pay....because if PG & E has to be held accountable for everything they've criminally done, then they wouldn't be in business, anymore.

Yeah….here I sit in the Lahaina burn zone. I understand all the negligence in the utility companies. Being in the business over 30 years I saw the significance of the FCC rules and enforcement just go completely out the window. We used to have check logs , we used to get fined heavily for infractions. The Carlyle Group has too close a ties with corporate interests and FCC control. There is soooo much to “blame”. How come this story mentioned nothing of the effects of Climate Change?

PGE is culpable, certainly. But State and Federal gov’ts are ALSO culpable since they prohibited the culling of forest overgrowth. It was a disaster waiting to happen and they knew it.

Oh gee I thought it was climate change
Climate change is caused by aerosols sprayed over us with aluminum. It sucks up our moisture like ARRID XTRA DRY deodorant does ( remember the patented ingredient is aluminum to never let em see you sweat ?) What it does is coat the trees and brush and also sucks up the rain so it cant fall like it would normally .thats why you never see real satellite images on the weather reports anymore its all CGI and if you look up especially 3 days before any hope of a rain system to keep the droughts from occuring. And absorbs the rain just before carrying it via atmospheric river into the tropical storms turning them into hurricanes. I have been monitoring this theery of mine for 5 yrs and its no longer something we can afford to ignore SOMEONE IS SPRAYING US LIKE BUGS WITH ALUMINUM BARIUM AND ?? and its not just blocking the sun its blocking or stealing our rain and being used to exacerbate hurricanes. Who is paying these pilots to fly and spray these chemicals daily ? ( and they cant tell me its to cool tje planet because we know it actually makes it hotter by holding in heat the planet normally lets escape at night. Plus why block sum when the sun is needed right now to kill covid. So WHY ARE THEY BLOCKING IT ? They also know climate change is caused by too many cows being mis managed and soil degredation. Its not just cows but how the cows are tortured in factory farms and grassfed is overgrazing causing soil degredation. We cant just slaghter animals on a massive scale while clearing away alll or trees and forests and the agriculture mass farming of one crop vs fmdiversity is whats causing global warming. So they are lying to us and i think pg and e is only partly responsible. And who ever is spraying us lime bugs shares responsibility with them
