新芽剛要盟發時換盆，基本上不需要剪芽（這是最佳換盆時機），如果錯過了新芽新葉已經長出來，又急需換盆，則需要將所有整個新芽剪除。我認為新葉氣孔功能還不好，很可能無法閉合，所以新葉會蒸散很多水份，剛換盆根系不健全時，是需要剪除新芽新葉，減少水份需求的。剛換盆的植株，水份不足先萎鄢的也必然是新芽。
