When Penik got that “pitch” I died laughing. I guess that’s what happens when you insult the game, it takes it personally 😂
Justin is wrong. I was smiling the entire time he was freaking out.
That last Shoemaker pitch was a splitter.
I got 70% but a lot of my guesses were based off of who the pitcher was and my knowledge of their pitch arsenal 😅
Not the most fair since they can only use broadcasts of the pitches. I hate how they angle most pitchers for games cause it really doesn’t show how nasty some of these pitches are
I pitched for 16 years but I was screaming them 🤣 hint sinkers from a right at the end always goes right
Evidently not always, 2:00 This pitch moves exactly like a fourseam lmao. But yeah these guys are missing some very obvious ones. Maybe I just watch too much pitching lol.
I think it’s very entertaining to see people lose their shit! 😂
Give me 20 Kershaw curveballs I would probably do alright.
Great call.
Why weren't the standings displayed at the end? Football guy won the video?
7:21. Yes, Walkers slow fast ball is his split finger. This is as much about knowing the pitchers as knowing pitches. Castillo throws a nasty sinker/changeup combo. If its high 90s its his sinker. If its low 90s, its the change up
Pennik watching you lose your shit is entertaining 😂😂
This was a fun watch especially with penik
second guy is literally the quietest individual in New York
Went 0 for 6 and the site stopped loading videos, fitting. I do not, in fact, know ball.
This would be me. I might get some 4 seamers right I'd they were over like 94 😂
Looked at the Carlos Martinez clip when on 40mg and thought “no way they let him wear a Santa hat during a game” 😂
The camera angle has alot to do if u see cut or sink on the fastball.
Right, half of those "sinkers" didn't seem to sink at all
Damn they're showing some 2-Seamers as 4s and Sinkers from what I'm seeing. Might as well flip a coin on those. A couple of these "4s" snap back towards the pitching hand probably 3 inches lmao.
The only problem i have with this is the camera angles from the side of the pitcher and not over the top. Sliders look like sinkers and changeups
Penik knows ball more than Jolly. Confirmed
New game idea: Same concept as Refguess but instead of a Baseball Reference page it is Baseball Savant percentiles.
Kinda happy my brain works similar to Peniks lol 😂
I got 85% on jolly’s round
I feel like camera angles make it hard to see what kind of pitch it is. I played travel ball all my life and even I had a tough time. Yes, I did better than them, but I still think that if the video was from the catcher's POV (batter's POV is usually bad cuz of some inevitable head movement on the swing) pitches would be a lot easier to recognize. Plus, we'd have more time than an MLB hitter to decide what pitch it is. With this angle, it's hard to see the cutting action on the cutter and for some of the sliders it looked like it had run. The way to really play this game is to look for pitch grip, but at least for me, that would take two or three replays of the video to catch it.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dinelson Lamet should’ve been the next version of Andrew Miller (but as a righty)… I hope he crushes overseas and gets a big ole MLB deal in a few years
He's throwing Andrew Millers slider did you know that? There's a guy in 2018 who taught hundreds to throw Millers slider from all arm angles.
I have never seen a sinker below 90😂
First try was 75. I also have little to no knowledge of individual's pitch arsenal.
Depending on the angle of each ballpark cam it’s gonna be hard to differentiate between pitches. Cool idea by Savant but doesn’t really work great
Nice haircut jolly. Healthy part. Did your mom comb your hair for you before you went to work
you can tell jolly has never actually hit against any of these pitches
Where is the link to this game? Lol
I got 70%. 9 out of the first 10 but then i fell off a lil. I dont watch as much baseball as these guys tho.
I got a 75%.
When you win the video but don’t make the thumbnail
The tilted angle on some pitches make this game stupid
Jolly bro… my boy don’t know ball 😭
5:20 there's no shot that's a slider
It's a slider, don't you know how it's thrown? what do you think is the difference between a cu and Sl?
Jolly how do u not know a front hip 2 seam sinker when u see one? U gotta be able to discern between a 4 and a 2 homie that’s child’s play
This game HATED Penik.
how does that guy not know what a split finger fastball is?
Jolly does not know baseball
this generation makes no sense with the pitch names now . sliders don’t move 12-6 and cutters don’t drop
No more Penik please
Intro too long clicked off
Also Meh. Not as good as when there’s multiple dudes in the same room. It’s just not it. Just one person guessing pitches into a mic. These aren’t it guys. Swing and a miss. Just not enough happening. Boring. Hard to articulate honestly but u can tell almost immediately when the video just isn’t it
