Damn this was hard. I was expecting iconic hits but I did so bad lol.
Yah, iconic or meme hits, like when the ball hit that guys nachos
Please make a third baseman throw one 😂😂
or outfield throws/assissts
This is absolutely impossible. Do it with pitches now, blurring out the pitcher and making them guess who pitched it.
Better yet just show them where it hit in the strike zone lol
You can estimate what spot in the lineup is up based on the the inning and score. And then from the angle the the ball goes you can kind of tell if it's a righty or lefty. So that narrows it down
Nevermind a lot of them are blurred
9/30 ain’t bad for something that’s nearly impossible. They are batting .300!
Some were, some weren't. The Longoria and Archie Bradley were gimmies
Jack Doyle is hilarious. I can see him having fun putting this together.
I got four:
Tim Anderson, it was a viral HR
Tatis Jr., because the Bally scorebug and an implied fast runner
Votto, pulled ball to RF by likely a lefty
Longo, another iconic HR
I got Tim Anderson, Votto, Evan Longoria, and Archie Bradley
Hit from 1948. Guess Babe Ruth who retired in 1935 and died in 1948 and Carl Yastrzemski who was a rookie in 1961. Good job guys. At least Jake guessed someone who played in the decade.
facts man I was yelling at them when Jack said the year
Do you think this is common knowledge?
When talking about baseball is your job it should be pretty common knowledge which decade Babe Ruth or Carl Yastrzemski played.@@passdagabagoul4369
@@passdagabagoul4369are you dense? Lol this is a baseball channel where they talk about current and past baseball. Yeah it’s pretty common lol
They totally got screwed by that third video. Not only did the clip come from Mexico City, which isn’t a field too many people are familiar with, Jack misspoke the clip being from 2022, when the clip is from 2023 based on the Mexico City series and Brett Wisely being on the Giants.
How is the Tatis infield single from 2022? He didn’t play a single game lol.
The difficulty makes it that much more fun and challenging
Let out a fist pump for getting Larry doby right
Same!!
As a Phillies fan who is pretty sure they watched that game, I am like soooo mad, but would've been so much more mad if they picked Utley or Howard and used one of their late career clips. I guessed Obudel Herrera because I thought he was going for notable players, but I legitimately did think about Tyler Goedel, Cody Asche, Cameron Rupp, and a whole swath of players from that time frame
I went with ty Kelly lmao
lmao i also guessed odubel on that one
I guessed Asche. I don’t even remember Nava playing for us😂 2017 is erased from my memory as a Phillies fan, and I don’t blame myself😂
Would love this but with more context to the hits provided after the answer. I know it would be easier but some more high profile hits would be nice too!
This was incredible. The creativeness that continues to pump out is amazing.
the chances that jack isn’t the one that came up with this is damn near impossible. Especially with shea station being gone i swear he is that guy
I wish you’d give the year for them all. The Phillies one I was thinking like 2014, not 2017
I busted out laughing at Daniel Nava lmaooooo
They blurred the broadcast scoreboard for the Field of Dreams game but left in the on field hand scoreboard in centerfield
How’d I just notice that lol. I only knew it because I watched that exact homer like 50 times though.
Fernando Tatis Jr didn't play in 2022
He was my guess, then I was like "Oh its crownenworth?" Yikes lol
It’s 2023, Brett Wisely #70 for the Giants was acquired last offseason
I believe the Votto hit was the one he hit a double against no doubles defense
I got 3 right
Bryan Reynolds, Tim Anderson, and Matt Kemp
#3 has to be wrong because Tatis didn’t play at all in 2022
The fact that Zo genuinely surprised it was not Mike Brosseau tells me he does not watch baseball
I got three right, Tim Anderson (iconic), Joey Votto (random Reds guess), and Matt Kemp (Dodger fan here). Rest were fairly tough.
This would be fun with iconic hits or with specific categories (postseason walkoffs or non speedster triples or unexpected homeruns...)
That Evan Longoria is the most iconic hit in rays history
So glad Jolly shouted out Dominic Brown! That was the first Phillie to pop into my head
This is insane lmao, fun concept tho proud I got two
tough game but this would make for a great series
The chemistry between these 4... between knowledge and entertainment, they should start a boy band. I wouldn't even be mad at it.
Call themselves 'The T-Balls' and take it completely seriously on stage
I guessed Daniel Nava correctly somehow from watching daniel navas last AB a week ago on youtube.
Finally, Jolly doesn’t corner the market on MLB trivia
This would have been better if they did more iconic plays like:
-Jose Bautista bat flip
-Canseco bounce off his head
-Willie Mays Catch etc
Love this concept!
third one was from 2022 , steroid boy didnt even play last year
Zo as he is not close to any of these : "this is a lot more doable than I expected"
Do this with windups/swings but only have the silhouette
Jolly always thinks people tell him he looks like people who are way better looking than him
He wants them to agree 🤣
Wow this was difficult. I got 3 of them. 2 were pretty intelligent guesses (based on team, era, what part of the field the ball was hit) and the other I kinda just knew.
The sad eating when your team is losing segment was relatable 😂
Whoa! Zo predicting a future Jolly Olive video mentioning the second field of dreams game
Love the reference to Mets Padres game 3. I'm a Yankees fan, but took my friend to his first Mets game that night.
I would've guessed Puig, too until he said 2011. That's when I got Kemp cuz I couldn't think of any other Dodger other then Kemp, Ethier, and Russell Martin and no way it's the latter two
9/10 of those were hard but brutal to not know the Longo game 162 homer and then guess a guy who didn’t debut until 8 years later
I was doing laundry and only caught the left field corner of the Trop and knew that was Evan Longoria breaking Red Sox fans’ hearts everywhere.
12:59 it was kinda obvious tho at least when it was. They had that style scoreboard on tv from 2010-2012
Missed the opportunity to give bonus points for jose ramirez's recent hit
more of these pls
The music made me feel like someone was going to die during the plays
Wasn't the Tatis one this year during the Mexico Series?
Certainly wasn’t 2022 like Jack said. Cause he didn’t play a single game. And that threw me off.
The Fernando Tatis Jr answer couldn't have been from last year. He was injured and then suspended for the 2022 season.
Tatis didn't play a single game in 2022....
cant lie i thought the Coco Crisp hit was Corey Kluber. i thought Jack would do a pitcher at some point
This was great!! I got 3 of them right
Okay Jolly. People say you look like Bryan Reynolds AND Nolan Arenado? I aint buying it. 😆
Who tf gave jack olive a shorpie
I actually went four for four on the first four but guessed Puig and then my second guess was Adrian Gonzalez, really interesting quiz, would love to see more of these in the future.
I didn't know most of the hits but I still got the Anderson, Votto, Kemp, and the Longoria one (the only one i actually recognized cuz it's in the intro to MLB12 The Show) from purely guessing whatever players i knew were on the team in that time period. Originally i thought the Kemp one was adrian gonzalez but once he said 2011 it was pretty obvious it was kemp
the scary music is hilarious
This is a great idea - but basically impossible since these are just random hits for the most part. Would be so much better if they picked somewhat iconic or important hits. Not super easy hits like Kirk Gibson's homer or Carlton Fisk's homer - but other hits that are memorable for some reason: Pete Rose's record breaker off of Eric Show, Delmon Young's bases clearing double for the Orioles, etc.
Fun game!
Also Mike B. Sounds like a character from Backyard Baseball
I got 6
- Tim Anderson (iconic home run)
- Joey Votto (just a lucky guess honestly, looked like it was hit by a lefty)
- Matt Kemp (honestly the only hitter of note in my brain from the 2011 Dodgers)
- Larry Doby (honestly, didn't know a lot of black ballplayers from the late 40s and knew it wasnt Jackie)
- Evan Longoria (also iconic)
- Archie Bradley (I've watched WAY too many highlight reels)
This game was absurd
This looks hard. You know what else is hard? trying to name every MLB player like call ups from minors count too. I don't think anyone could do that... I got the Longo, Anderson, & Bradley ones. Also yes they should do pitches too.
An infield single? Are you fucking kidding me, Doyle?
Mlb the show 12 showing the rays comeback was epic
At least you easily know which team it is and a pretty good time frame
He just DOUBLED DOWN on why he guessed a PHILLY for needing to guess a CINCINNATI PLAYER. THIS IS FCKING INSANE
What do you mean? Castellanos played for Cincinnati in 20 & 21, and he said "old score bug". It was a legit guess.
“Do you remember Dominic Brown?” 💔
I’m so happy I got 6
- [x] Bryan Reynolds
- [x] Tim Anderson
- [ ] Tommy la Stella
- [x] Joey votto
- [x] Matt Kemp
- [ ] Trevor Plouffe
- [ ] José Ramírez
- [ ] Willie Mays
- [x] Evan Longoria
- [x] Archie Bradley
Why does the music sound like it should be in a murder mystery movie or thriller?
9:24 Unfortunately, I do, Jolly. I have a jersey I can never wear again in my closet.
Honestly I got 6,Anderson Coco Crisp , Reynolds,Kemp,Bradley,Longoria
Love this game.
Someone should lose their producer role thinking this was actually a good idea 😂
I got 4, Longo and T.A were easy, the Matt kemp just felt like a classic Kemp bomb to centre and fit the time period and Votto bc reds lefty
6/9, no lie. Couldn’t get Nava, Doby, and Tatis. Very proud I got Coco
7:20 Everyone's guess looks exactly the same to me.
Pausing the vid to say 1 for 1 so far with Bryan Reynolds!
This was fun
I got 6, Archie Bradley, Longo, and Anderson were pretty easy. The others were guesses Matt Kemp because of 2011 Dodgers, Votto because of 2010s Reds and Bryan Reynolds because best player of pirates recently.
I got the first one somehow
I did pretty good, I got 4 of these right! Votto, Archie, and I forgot the other 2 but ik I got 4 which might be like a 75% idk how many there were
can clearly see the number 70 on the jersey
"its Brandon Crawford"
I got Tim Anderson (I remember watching live and wanting to shoot myself), Joey Votto (I saw it was a Red and he’s the most obvious Reds player), Evan Longoria (I know he was a Ray during that time), and that’s it. Tough game
Zo is special ed
The fact I went 7/10 is crazy
I pulled Matt Kemp too and I was just as shocked as them
For the first one, just guess the most famous Pirates player
YOU SAID 2022 AND MADE ME CHANGE MY TATIS GUESS BECAUSE HE WAS SUSPENDED I ACTUALLY HAD THAT
I DEAD GOT MATT KEMP
Ice cream to applesauce to chocolate milk is indeed crazy, but not as crazy as nachos to lasagne to banana pudding. (My reaction to the giants beating my royals in 2014)
Nachos to lasagna is thicc
@@nicholassmith8806 thiccc with three Cs, my mom’s recipe.
nachos to lasagna sounds like it would be pretty good. I don't think I would eat the banana pudding. Ice cream to Applesauce to Choco milk sounds gross.
@@glucosaminecondroitan9135 apple sauce is just in a weird spot there. Had it been before the ice cream you could make the point that he was eating it during the game. I honestly just ate what I could find, but it sounds like Zo was just crawling through his pantry lol.
@@falcon1378 yeah apple sauce at beginning or end doesn't sound too bad.
got the matt kemp one
I somehow got Larry doby right and I think I can die happily now
got BRey, tim A, votto, matt kemp, longo, archie
haha i guessed brian reynolds for the first one
I literally picked the same Jake picks I thought chris Taylor (which he was writing before he was told the date) then we both guessed Kemp bwahaha. The rest I sucked
I was at that DBacks game
You see i figured this would be notable hits not just random infield singles and shit
I was hoping to see Bartolo's homer. Alas.
I’m actually really good at this somehow I got 7… also Larry Doby’s number 14 is shown in his clip so that’s how I got it
