Those are a great design and will be getting a set. GM has had those for years and we use them on a regular for wiring repairs. Just too expensive to buy individually. These are a great find!!
Great video! Our crimp tools are on the pricey side because they are the actual Delphi tools. To offset that cost ($160 total for both tools), we offer a tool rental program. You can rent 1 or both tools for a month for $25/tool rather than purchase them. We haven't personally used the Wirefy tool yet, but it looks like good quality!
this was really helpful - I was hesitating to buy this crimper because it seemed pricey (even though I know it's not the most expensive one). But what a pain to have wiring issues due to bad crimps. It seems like it's worth it just to avoid wiring problems, Wirefly should pay you a commission - you sold me.
I already had this set before i srarted my aaw install so i just decided to use them. Worth noting that it won't crimp the double wire style 59 delphi connectors, and i can't find a correct die. They also started to twist the terminals after using them a while. I'm going to check into the tool rental through aaw or just go ahead and buy a set of correct crimpers. For reference: Delphi Packard style 56 & 59 crimpers.
I have read all the comments. I have not found an answer for the question, What is the crimping die part number is for doing the double wire for the head lamp wiring? Thank you for this video.
I never bought the die because I sold the car I was going to do the AAW kit with. maybe you could call wirefy and ask them directly! Thats what I would do.
Excellent video. I have a crimper addiction, will ve getting this set. What auto strippers are you using? The ones with the green and black handles. Thank you.
KNIPEX is the best of the best German quality you can't beat them with the choice of professional engineers, I've tested Wirefy crimping tools and found them to either under-crimp or over-crimp both of which produce poor electrical and mechanical properties thereby overestimating expectations plus you'll find they are copies of much cheaper makes
I own and love KNIPEX tools. Hands down. The price is what keeps me away most of the time. I dont need super high $$$$$$$$ tools to use only a few times. Thanks for watching
@hybridmusclegarage4590 I agree. Unless you're constantly crimping for work or at home, it doesnt make sense to go all in on a crimping set worth hundreds of dollars.
I tried this one to crimp open barrel terminals. It crimped one out of the 30+ I tried. In 99% of the attempts, it just mutilated the fitting and never properly secured the wire. The mutilation also meant I couldn't slide it into the male or female plug. This tool may work for the simpler fittings but definitely not for the more complex. Not worth the price.
@@hybridmusclegarage4590 Yea, I returned it. I was only interested in the die-cast insert they mark as "C". I tried a few more times after watching more YT videos and even videos on other crimpers. I managed a few more "acceptable" crimps but nothing on par with the adverting or the product cost.
Thanks for this...just ordered an AAW kit for my C10 and was looking for an alternative to the AAW crimpers. Do you happen to know the part number for the extra dye (wide terminal) you mentioned?

Yes they are interchangeable with the bluepoint crimpers, there are a few they offer that dont fit properly but will still function as intended. I will say i have the bluepoint ones and love them but i took a chance on wirefy for the high leverage ratcheting crimpers they offer and let me tell you THEY ARE AWESOME! such a game changer because it takes so much less effort on bigger wires. I ordered the big kit they have because i wanted all the dies and for the $16 a piece it just made more sense to me to order the entire kit and have a good place to store them.
These jaws look like powder pressed... just like every other chinese SN Crimper, I'm currently researching iWISS, anyone worked with wheir SN type pliers? Is set like IWISS SN-PM worth it's price? other "brands" like LION RAGE sell very similiar sets for less than half of iWiss price. I wounder if one would be better off buying the cheapest set, and buying any missing jaws
Personally not a very good review. You don't have to repeat what each die is for. Cause they want open till fully closed same as all ratcheting crimper. Video out of focus when showing terminals. You took the dies out to explain how they are held in and you did not know.just because something is expensive does not mean it's good . If you haven't seen these type of tool before and you are wiring cars how can you really preview it give you a A for trying but watch first before posting
If you have something better than this please let us know.

If I had known you rent them for $25.00 a month I would have done that. Thanks for the info.
Where can you rent them?
Excellent. I bought the similar ones on Amazon. They have the wire gauge on the crimpers.
Awesome!
Just about to install a new wiring harness in my 72 C10, I'm going to need this, I'm sold!
Perfect timing as I start my 71 Camaro wiring project!
Yes sir!

I have not. lots of accessories you can add to this kit.

Do they have such a set ?
Thanks for the video man helped a lot!
Great video bud !!
Thanks man, will contact you soon!
19:17 the insulation did not crimp. Same with 21:52 when you compare a GM factory crimp. The wire part is perfect.
I was on the wrong crimp end.
Wich did you test before, to say they are the best ?
Great help
Never knew about these. Being multi use, makes them great to have.
Have you ever crimped a open barrel splice fitting?
yes these do open barrel.
I need some crimpers now. How much??
Shop around as prices vary. I got mine from amazon
And now Im on Amazon ordering crimpers! WTF?
LOL
Same here. Wish I knew how well they have for you one year later.
