Kevin Nash and Rock had an exchange in Twitter wishing each other well because of catching Covid 19. I don't remember if they follow each other though. I think Rock kinda forgave everyone except HBK, because he seems pretty cool with HHH (SNL skit when WWF guys crashed his opening monologue, HHH wished him well for the rest of the night).

In Mick Foley's second book, he stated that the original plan for Wrestlemania 15 was Stone Cold vs The Rock vs Mankind in a triple threat match. WWE wanted to include Mick because he had been in a long feud of matches with The Rock for the past 4 months. But Shawn Michaels came in and argued that it Wrestlemania should always have a one on one match in the main event. But according to Mick, Shawn was arguing to take The Rock out of the main event and have it be Austin vs Foley.
Vince agreed with Shawn that it should be one on one, but he realized that Austin vs Rock was the money match and took poor Mick out of the main event. Of course, Shawn himself would weasel his way into the main event of Wrestlemania 20 and have the first ever triple threat match main event for the world title.
What about wrestlemania 2000 the fatal 4 way main event?

Even Taker had to sit in gorilla position with his hands taped up to make sure Michaels put Austin over at Wrestlemania. I’m glad he humbled himself in his second run though.

And I agree with Austin he was the biggest star so if he’s going to lose a match make it a big deal and promote it .

Back in 1997 there was a size difference but it wasn’t anywhere near to the degree that there is now in 2022. The Rock didn’t get JACKED until much, much later when he went Hollywood and Shawn Michaels was much bigger prior to his back injury.

You can tell that the jealousy lived on. In 2002 HBK as NWO leader cut a promo where he for some reason criticised The Rock for stealing Hunters limelight with his return. The Rock was on a completely different brand at the time and there were no plans for that to change.

I always though that Shawn Michaels must be a little bitty guy from seeing him on TV. One day I saw him in person. I’m not a little guy by any means. I am five ten and about two twenty. Most people consider me at least above average because of my weight but the guy is bigger than me.. they make him look small on TV. I no longer think that he’s a little guy. He’s kinda big. The other guys are just so big that it makes him look small. He’s not a little guy at all.

Rock had a few reasons not to like HBK.
#1 His attempts to sabotage him in favor of Triple H
#2 His part in screwing over the Harts. The Rock's and the Harts families went back a long ways.
#3 The disrespect from Michaels to Rock's grandmother Lia Maivia way back before Rock even started. He never forgot that.
#4 The stiff Superkick Shawn hit Rock with on the debut of Smackdown. Might not have been all of Shawn's fault as the kick wasn't delivered the wat Shawn normally did it. But his reaction after Rock approached him was typical HBK douchebaggery.

One of the things I HATE about the new generation is how many face kicks they do. It seems like every single person has some kind of facekick, it not only waters them down but it's like they're spamming finisher moves in the middle of the match as a highspot. They turned Sweet chin music into the DDT. SCM was a hard hitting finisher, it never looked easy to take. Goldberg retired Bret Hart with that move, and to see it all the time from midcarders just cheapens the promotion in general.

the people below you will always hate you. Rock is mount rushmore material, one of the biggest draws in the business, great in ring skills and story telling as well. Measuring stick on the mic, measuring stick of charisma, and a great person behind the scene and overall most complete megastar to ever exist since hogan. Michaels was great in his own right, one of the greatest in ring performers ever, only contested by the likes of bret hart , benoit and angle, great on the mic too, wasnt a big draw like rocky but still was the face of the company for a while. Had pretty good charisma, but a shitty person behind the curtain. As you can the categories in which hbk falls short, he only beats the rock in terms of in ring ability but clearly shawns wrestling ability wasnt enough to put ass in seats like the rock.

Shawn's owned up to his past behavior, tries to be a good Christian, and plays a huge role in helping younger talent now. Easier said than done but at some point you have to forgive and forget.
There's a video of The Rock and Emily Blunt being interviewed and Rock noticed the guy was wearing a Bret Hart tshirt. Saying what a great man he is and how he looked after him backstage when people (aka the clique) were giving him a hard time. So it's easy to see why The Rock vs Michaels never happened.

As much as I love both men and their contribution to the business (no seriously hbk for all his bad deeds he cracks me up) at the end of the day this is showbiz, entertainment what happens behind the scenes cannot influence one’s opinion on anyone just because someone shoots on it.
None of us were there and we don’t know these guys personally so always take everyone’s account of any incident with a pinch of salt. What’s most important is that if something happened, it happened.
It just adds more spice and pulp to the product. I like the dark side of the ring, the morbid reality of being a pro wrestler.
The rock knows how to get revenge and make you look bad. You could say that unlike Bret, rock stood up to hbk, fought back and won. Not only did he get over but he became the biggest superstar since hbk to carry the company on his back. Hbk will always be the better in-ring performer out of the two but the rock’s charisma, innovation and work ethic speaks for itself. The rock was the hottest thing in the WWE between 2000-2002 no doubt he reached such tremendous heights, flew so high up the ladder, he fell off the ladder and landed in Hollywood.
However my point is only the rock can go to Wrestlemania and have a dream match with the immortal hulk hogan. Only the rock can give stone cold Steve Austin a perfect retirement match that has been untainted ever since. Only the rock can put brock lesnar over, giving him his first ever world title reign, making him the youngest wwe champion in history. Only the rock can put bill Goldberg over in on his debut match in the WWE. Only the rock can job to the hurricane effectively giving him the highlight of his career. I love how Dwayne extracted revenge on hbk all so sweetly. ☺️☺️☺️😊😁😁😂😆🤣😅😂😂😏

As much as I love both men and their contribution to the business (no seriously hbk for all his bad deeds he cracks me up) at the end of the day this is showbiz, entertainment what happens behind the scenes cannot influence one’s opinion on anyone just because someone shoots on it.
None of us were there and we don’t know these guys personally so always take everyone’s account of any incident with a pinch of salt. What’s most important is that if something happened, it happened.
It just adds more spice and pulp to the product. I like the dark side of the ring, the morbid reality of being a pro wrestler.
The rock knows how to get revenge and make you look bad. You could say that unlike Bret, rock stood up to hbk, fought back and won. Not only did he get over but he became the biggest superstar since hbk to carry the company on his back. Hbk will always be the better in-ring performer out of the two but the rock’s charisma, innovation and work ethic speaks for itself. The rock was the hottest thing in the WWE between 2000-2002 no doubt he reached such tremendous heights, flew so high up the ladder, he fell off the ladder and landed in Hollywood.
However my point is only the rock can go to Wrestlemania and have a dream match with the immortal hulk hogan. Only the rock can give stone cold Steve Austin a perfect retirement match that has been untainted ever since. Only the rock can put brock lesnar over, giving him his first ever world title reign, making him the youngest wwe champion in history. Only the rock can put bill Goldberg over in on his debut match in the WWE. Only the rock can job to the hurricane effectively giving him the highlight of his career. For most guys he knew he could cry to Vince and get them fired or de-pushed. Vince was invested in Rock though, first 3rd generation wrestler and from a wrestling family Vince loves. So he had to be tricky and ruin his push and value to Vince otherwise he couldn't get him fired.
