Just watched your video for the first time and loved it. I found through trial and error that my go to colors pretty much match yours. That said I did pick a tip on the pink and glow green shades which I'll be adding to my arsenal........thx !
Smelt on a antifreeze head early and a black head late always gets it for me.. my grandfather uses a jighead all the paint has faded off and he refuses to retire it, it’s “lead” color lol
Informative video. Thanks! Don’t rule out the black fin S. Love the black with gold flake. Tends to do well on the Detroit for me or when the Saginaw gets dirty
THANKS SCOTT. I HAVE LEARNED SOME GOODNESS FROM THIS VIDEO. I FISH THE SAGINAW,AS WELL AS THE FLINT RIVER SYSTEMS MOSTLY, AND CAN'T WAIT TO TRY SOME OFYOUR SUGGESTIONS THIS SPRING AFTER ICE THAWS AND ACCESS RETURNS FOR THOSE OF US WHO AREN'T BIG SHANTY GUYS AND STILL CATCH THEM FROM THE BANK. TIGHT LINES BRO .
I have a couple of links in the description here, and you can find them online at many places by just searching. Also any decent tackle shop should carry them.
We mainly use these for vertical jigging in rivers. Round ball jigs work just fine, as will any river jig like the walleye head, the ultraminnow head, etc. There are some videos on my channel showing us jigging, not sure I ever went into any in-depth tips though. Tap bottom and pick it up, that's about it! (just kidding there's a lot more to it but that will get you started)
Man I'm with you its hard to narrow it down nice choices. My favorite go too is usually either emerald ice or blue ice. I have been really liking the cabelas brand Hoochie koochie (sorry if I spelled it wrong)paddle tails in fire tiger they have a really dark back and bright orange belly but what I think makes them work really well is it has a ton of tail action compared to other paddle tails IMO. Cant forget PIMP DADDY!!!
@@schoover They are called Cabelas fisherman's go-to Hoochie Koochie they have a really thin connection between the body and the tail and it gives alot of action but they are alot darker than the pictures they have online.
Gordon Tomaszewski decades? I remember just twisters and Wyandotte worms back in the day I used strictly blade baits for five years would outfish any boat in the area miss the old days at Tommy’s
Love this type of Video . Got to give pimp daddy some love!
PD is getting a lot of votes here for sure! Thanks Keith.

Thanks for sharing, new here from bass camo stream 👍
Blues and purples appear more as a shade of grey in certain water colours to a walleye.
Do you use short worms in st. Clair river?
New to walleye fishing how should I retrieve my 4” pimp daddy on a 1/4 jig head
What color jig with these ? Good video.

I will have to check them out. Pimp daddy definitely deserves a mention! I definitely couldn't pick just 5 I don't know who I was kidding :) :)

Use motor oil color
Don’t get why everyone on the fin-s band wagon there are a lot better 4inch minnows out there
Walleye have a pea sized brain so I don't think they care about the brand really.
Because they have worked for decades don't fix what isn't broke!
