    You can get the most use out of medicinal mushrooms when you fully dry them with the bottom side up near a wood stove, then powder it down and store it in a miron glass container. This will make the mushroom last much longer.

      Actually grinding them down is bad, because it will simply support it breaking down quicker. You should grind up mushrooms only when using them.

    Thank you for the video! This tea is also good to get rid of parasites. I make all my mushroom teas in a crock pot over night, on low. It works nicely. I found that if I crock-pot the Birch Polypore for a few days it makes it easier to eat.

      I am glad you found this video useful. You should always be VERY careful with wild foods and medicines. After I did this video I developed thyroid cancer (I've made three or four videos about my journey). The doctors took my thyroid out, now I have to take medication every day. I thank God that your cancer is gone, and God bless you too Elaine!

      Jesus paid for our healing Pray asking God to grow back your thyroid and heal it in Jesus name Pray it and thank God for doing it ! ask that your joy maybe made full ! The earth is the lords and the fullness, there of he made all these things in the earth first and overshadowed it and put it in the earth, God said it was good and he blessed it and rested , every plant that has it seed in it was given to man for their food , they weren't eating animal protein yet being slaughtered , don't despise the day of small beginnings ! I am not going to eat rotten bad food but good, just & holy that's clean on purpose to observe Leviticus 11 , Deuteronomy 28 & 30 sown to abiding in the vine Jesus is the vine to bring forth fruit so that our fruit will remain, we cant bring forth fruit of our ourselves except we abide in the vine then will bring fort fruit and out fruit will remain! spored fungus yeast are the same type of organism they reproduce after their kinds and that to me sounds like its seed in it, yeast is on fruit grapes berry elder berries you can make wine from it just putting the fruit in the fridge stirred up I did and mine turned into wine flavor great flavor. Jesus went to a tree to pick its fruit and there wasn't none on it Jesus cursed it saying forever more fruit not to grow on it and didn't get what he went there to get and hoped for his journey for going to that tree to of picked when he was hungry ! moral of the story is never give up Jesus didn't die from hunger he lived to tell his story another day ! Hear the Hebrew music song; " Mercy "; you hear the song like cow lick slimy sounding now in it, that's going to be the really slaughter killing ! It about the 4 or 5th song on this video series if you like to listen on the cow sounding lick of salt block of mankind making today in the earth capitalism money entertainment world ! I went to a full gospel businessman meeting and seen God heal peoples problems some was legs that were shorter then the other some type of deformities and they asked God heal them with laying on of hands and the legs growed out alittle longer then the other leg then adjusted and went back and lined up with the other side leg and they were healed perfectly no pain in Jesus name full Gospel meetings everyone needs to ask God to give them the infilling of the holy ghost that's received Christ an their lord and saviors! ua-cam.com/video/VPm980ATPa4/v-deo.html ! I was healed myself in that meeting I had a lazy left eye that would wounder off when I was tired, in that meeting and iI felt it tighten up and now i down have that problem so i know first hand people can be healed ! see this type of healing anointing meeting of Seymour slavery was in the processing of being abolished and these captive slaves Satan had taken as his prisoner when menstealing sin of the flesh was allowed in slavery trade in the nations take allowed that sin of the flesh they slaves didn't sell themselves as captives of Satan to be sold to men as slaves they were stolen from their nations and not yet returned to their own nations with all they gathered while in their captivity Seymour as is yet even unto today! Satan knows what he has int he races of mankind and sins see ezra 9-10 some races were to not allow to dwell around Israel so that we dont do their same idolatry like Chinese man called himself a ammonite they are all non kosher int he dietary laws Chinese restaurants , God will receive all who calls on him for salvation through Christ it putting on Christ that's were they stumbling at these laws of God, & no sin or unrighteousness will enter the kingdom of heaven the sins of their dads and their owns sin is being visited upon them Satan knocking a their door they have to rule over him or he will rule over them. I believe black race are amount these mentioned in Ezra 9-10 that aren't to dwell around Israels because of the curse mark of vain Cain all gifts and calling are from God and the black race are typically non -kosher in the dietary laws and they don't want returned to their nations of Africa to abide in love pursuing peace with all men they breach that holy highway for God to come through for the love of their wealth they getting in Satan ! were they foredads were stolen our from with all they gathered while in Satan captivity they love the pride of their power in Satan! ! Seymour wasn't kosher in the dietary laws yet either and he had these terrific anointing off healing God used Seymour for while he was yet being non kosher in the dietary laws only survivor left is one man who living to tell us the lives of seymour journeys in this gospel works he 's accomplishes mastered in Christ over his flesh sin had he sown the dietary laws to begone to obtained that crowns mastery ! watch the video were under grace in Christ to bring us up into the law in our faith backwards of the was the gospel was meant to been, had it not failed with tongues when the bible wasn't being preached in the earth after the deaths of the earth prophets and the churches scattered and would rise up back as it would sprout back up as today , the law was to been our schoolmaster to bring us up unto the faith in Christ , and not the other way around !all these people on this video sinning Hebrew worship and law the other singers of today artist are not practicing the dietary laws Leviticus 11 an entertain popular entertainment serving sin and Satan in that sin breaking Leviticus 11 Deuteronomy 28 & 30, the sting of sin is death the strength of sin is the laws of God wen we sin against it it what we transgress , Sin first reaps anguish and tribulations and corruption in the flesh and afterwards death if not confessed and turned away from practicing that sin at he cross of Christ and then wee to bring forth fruit meet for repentance! the law is good, just and holy when we sow it we grow from goodness unto righteousness unto holiness , we learned the word of God by the reading of the word to the renewing of our mind proving what that good and acceptable will of God is, putting on Christ and off the deeds of the flesh sin by learning the laws of God since most of gentiles weren't raised up in the laws as Jewish families had been given since laws were given down trough Mose to them until the law they wanted either accusing or excusing one another, ua-cam.com/video/F9kI3ZcC-xg/v-deo.html

    hi Muskrat Jim, how are you doing? thanks for the nice video and thanks for your encouragement a while back, it helped me from getting discouraged

    • @MuskratJim
      @MuskratJim  6 років тому +1

      Well hello my friend in the Philippines! It has been a while since we spoke last. I remember being amazed at the growth of your channel when it hit 13,000 subscribers and now it is almost 19,000 with over 10 million views. Amazing growth to be sure! I am still struggling at 6,177 subscribers and just over 1 million views as of this morning.
      Since we last spoke, I have developed thyroid cancer and have had two surgeries to have it all removed. I've also had radiation treatments to kill off any remaining thyroid tissue. Now I have to take a pill every day to do some of the work my thyroid once did. I've made a playlist of my cancer journey and posted that on my main page.
      One of the reasons your channel has enjoyed such growth is the frequency that you post videos. You post at least one a day it seems, and some days you post more than one. By comparison, I try to post four videos a month, some months I manage to post five but on the average month I only post three.
      I know you don't need any more advice from me because your channel is already more successful than mine will ever be, but I noticed on your channel's home page it says "This channel does not have any content" which isn't true. You probably have a thousand videos by now. You really should put something up on your home page for viewers to see if they happen across your channel. Here is your home page: ua-cam.com/channels/FuFHFgHPya17g6lbKrlCXg.html. Now compare it to mine: ua-cam.com/users/MuskratJim. Mine has a short channel trailer explaining what my channel is about, and I also show several playlists to encourage people to watch. I would strongly suggest you add something to yours in case someone happens to click on your channel.
      Wishing you all the best from Atlantic Canada, and I hope you and your family are doing well.

      You remember when guys were ashamed to let people know they lost limbs? It's so much healthier today. And good stories too. Good looking guy like you, story about fighting off 12 Taliban, or multiple crocodiles, or, in Canada, a hybrid polar/brown bear. "Oh Jim how did you win?" "I didnt-they ate me! "

    Been wanting to go hunt mushrooms of this sort. But i live in the middle of a desert. I have only seen a chaga once in California and i recently found some turkey tail on my last visit. Wish i had some of that fungi you found. So many uses and i like to practice the ole timer skills. I dont use matches or lighters so that mushroom is the thing im looking for.

    • @MuskratJim
      @MuskratJim  4 роки тому

      Dried hose hoof mushroom is a bracket fungus that you're looking for. It is often called False Tinder Fungus because Chaga is the True Tinder Fungus. The fungus in this video is called razor-strop fungus because it's tough rubbery texture can be used as a knife strop for making knives razor sharp (after they've been properly sharpened of course). Birches don't grow in dry climates like your desert, so you won't find any of these fungi in your area.

    • @MuskratJim
      @MuskratJim  6 років тому +1

      I don't think you could misidentify it. As long as it is on a birch, creamy whitish-yellow on top and underneath, no sharp edges, and the undersides is sponge-like instead of paper-thin ridges like most other mushrooms.
      My advice is to take a Field Guide with good colored pictures into the woods with you and compare it to the pictures in the book. I'm sure there are no potentially dangerous look-alikes for this species.

    So funny just watched another video about polypore and you also made same mistake as previous author and incorrectly identify tree. So I repeat the same message.
    This mushrooms grow on other trees as well. A lot of people can not correctly identify birch tree and mistaken it with aspen.
    Polypore is best which collected from birch tree.
    For your information the tree at beginning of video 1:04 is not birch tree but aspen tree.
    So make sure you correctly identify tree.
    P.S. What he says about mushroom is correct but please be warn do not touch your eyes after handling mushroom. You will get allergic reaction for 1 week.

      If you want easily eat them collect when they are just poping out from tree and not bigger than 3-5sm in diameter. At that stage they are soft and not so bad. But what is a point to eat them when there are plenty of edible mushrooms.
      But to get medicinal use of polypore is best to make potions to support immune system.

      There are no poisonous trees in Canada, but some saps are very, very bitter. As for fungi, there are poisonous ones that can make you hallucinate, others that will make you sick, and others that can kill. Unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure about a fungus, it's best to avoid them as a food source. There are always other (safer) food choices for the forager :)
