- Snapper, kahawai, kingfish all came aboard when I started baiting up with precooked sausages and later in the day I lost my rod to some beast on the sausage. I took my friend Hein and his son Jessie out for an afternoon fish and we caught a feed around Rangitoto....

Thanks for the positive feedback, was out Saturday on an island but my Gopro battery malfunctioned and my spare got lost somewhere so no footage unfortunately. I do have some boating trips I need to edit.....
After the third fish I'm not sure you can call it a fluke any longer 😂 precooked snags for the win!
Not surprising really, chicken breast and thigh, chicken gut with aniseed, salted strip steak, and I'm sure others have their own weird bait concoctions. I reckon sometimes you need to use baits that aren't the usual natural food choice of fish, probably more so after a lot of rain and the water is dirty.

Floating stickbait sausage anyone?
Sausages mightve had garlic in them. Game changer right there, caught no fish.....then eat the bait.
