Never ever have I even thought of the existence of alt+selecting using the shapebuilder tool to remove shapes. Blew my mind. Wish I knew this years ago.

To avoid the awkward repositioning, copy the colored and black shapes together, delete the black shape, paste the two together in front, rotate together by 180 degrees, then delete the new black shape. Great tutorial.

Dont know really anything about this stuff. Am literally learning AI strictly from great tutorials such as yours. DID notice something w/in gradient that you didnt mention. You can grab gradient points w/in the shape and move them around. Just thought it was cool and maybe worth mentioning. Thanks for your help :)
Instead of the 64000%x zoom, just don't delete the bottom wedge. After rotating the modified wedge it snaps tp the bottom wedge. Then you can delete it from layers panel.
It wasn´t the easiest video to copy from, but I enjoied it and I learned new tricks as well. Could you make a tutorial of how to make a simple rose please?

If you use the Eyedropper tool on that second shape you deleted, it should paint the same gradient without having it erased, copied and pasted :)
