- This race is from Hockenheim 26th of April 2014, Round 1 of the European Superkart Series.
The Superkart I drive has a 250 ccm, 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, PVP engine.
Chassis is also made by PVP. The kart has aprox. 100 HP and does around 250 km/h as topspeed.
Video is made with Trackvision software, Gopro2 camera and AIM datalogger. - Спорт
F1: latest in safety rules, nothing exciting for years
Superkart: Yeet a small engine on a frame, go 230 kph and try not to make mistakes or you die.
@@marcomelbourne If kids can't say yeet then a guy that grew up in socal in the 70's can't say dude..I try not to say that.. much dude.
@@Shark-vm1wj As long as you do not call a genx'er a boomer we'll get along, call me boomer the gloves come off whippersnapper. BTW read the above comment I made to aka salty boomer. Dude.
What does 230 translate in mph?
fargeeks it’s a factor of 1.6. About 150 mph
yeet?
the winner of a superkart race is always the person who has the biggest balls
jon S But big balls doesn't remove the need for mad skills. Relying on big balls means leaving the track - but not at the pit entrance. 😎
Per Westermark yeah but not everyone has the confidence of going 220 kmh and the ground being less than 10 cm away from your ass with no cockpit too.
RazQrt Of course. It takes both skill and dare to get the good lap times. But too many thinks it's just a question of a fast car and the balls to keep pushing. So every racing video have lots of "I can go faster" comments from people who have run fast on the straight or through high-speed corners in dry conditions and without other cars fighting for the same piece of road.
I enjoy good drivers that run lap after lap with almost identical intermediate times because they have the skill to repeatedly make the same decision and the skill to get the vehicle to do as decided.
indeed, scary the way he took turn 1 jumping over the kerb at high speed
Skills bring forth balls
when the video started i was laughing about the rear wings on them... guess they come in handy at 200 km/h...
Lol
Those wings aren't even that big
those karts are actually generating Downforce with the entire shell & nose as well. Thats what keeps these from being death machines. Just like learning sailboat racing in dingys, there is no better way to learn to race then to strip it to its barest elements.
The top end shifter kart racing scene is no joke.
@@OneMouseGaming never tried a 250 but I got a 125cc and it can go up to around 160kph and it has basically 0 downforce 😅
@@Arvipa. time for more aero!
Can't imagine going over 200 without suspension
without suspension, power steering, ABS, traction control, differential and seat belts....breath taking
F1 cars dont have suspensions anymore either

You gotta have balls to drive a little death trap like that at more than 230 km/h . God damn.....
Id love to do this
You get used to it.
Bike racers go even faster, more than 300kmh. At least they wear leathers with airbags
Kinda like MotoGP and Isle of Man
I used to drive it
Pretty fun experience
And it's fkin scary at the same time
I always tell myself ' I'll just watch 2 minutes ' ..........
CoughingPig same 😂
Same hahaha
This is more exciting than the whole of 2019 F1 season...
You obviously watched fuck all F1 this season then.
@@Sean-pm2vd I mean mercedes won, so it was a mercedes snoozefest. F1 hasnt been good since vettel era.
yeah, if you only care about who wins
Wait until 2023, its much worse
Or any F1 season.
Cornering at 170 kph in turn 1,love it
and in turn 8!!
Well done :) 2.2 G is not a little.
2.3 is highest I saw on this video
Definitely not little
13:14
4:53 2.3 G
Welcome @Survival Russia! Hello Boss, Pink Ninja, miss Survival Russia & the rest of the gang!
Patiently waiting a new video, cheers Lars!
@Nicolás Navascués Mollá It's really a different kind of G-Force, though I'm sure physicists would have a better way to put it. The 40g crash is only experience for half a second to a second, whereas 2.3g on your neck throughout a corner for a few seconds is pretty tricky. If you had 40g on your neck through a corner, it would snap, it's impossible, 6 is roughly the limit I believe.
No suspension, no race-harness but loads of talent, skill and courage! This is how every F1 prospect begins the ascent.
Super Kart = F1 '60
Crash = Death
So exciting
The feeling of speed is just incredible, must be very addictive! Congratulations for your well deserved victory, awesome driving...
Cheers all the best
I wouldnt think i would get addicted to it, it would probably just scare me to death. Probably even literally xD
Just the once or twice a year golf cart
One small mistake at 200kmh, *boi you ded*

So don't fuck up

Lol 😂🤣😂🤣😂
@HashySlash thanks!
no kers, no drs, no virtual pace car , awsome, real driving
AgdR369 f1 is the pinnacle of Motorsport, not real driving series of shit like this. F1 are the fastest cars in the world, it's a fact. And for me, cornering at over 250 km/h is real driving, not cornering at 120 km/h with a kart. Real driving is trying an over 7G force when driving, or reaching 300 km/h in less than 15 seconds. He's a good kart driver, but don't you think he'll prefer to race in F2 or F1 series? And don't talk about DRS, Kers or F-Duct, cause new F1s are so aerodynamically complex that follow another car it's impossibile. Only great drivers can overtake this year
actually this was faster than Mclaren Honda XD
AgdR369 and manual gear box
F1 is a load of bollocks these days I'd much rather watch this!
There is no technology to hide behind in a kart. You are either fast or you aren't. I've driven a 125cc kart but these things look insane. id love to try them.
There's a documentary about F1 in the seventies. I remember one of the driver's complaining about the physical demands because they were now pulling 2gs in the corners. Think about that.
F1 back in the 50's-60's all drifted around every corner, by the 70's they actually started having spoilers, and downforce.
2 isn’t much really, it’s a bit more than normal but after I while I imagine that can be a bit uncomfortable.
Patrik those cars back then looked like kazoos lol
2g? U mean 5g
@@johndoesilver277 He says F1 in the 70s, where teams just started playing around with wings and downforce, ending up with ground effect at the end of the decade.
Of course nowadays they pull 5Gs or more, but the drivers back then would never thought to endure that much force
number 2 had a faster kart in the straite, but could not handle the turns like you. good job.
Ye cornering was almost faultless. Kissing those apexes nicely
Perhaps he had a lower downforce setup?
2 couldn’t hit a apex to save his life
Number 3
@@luizcomet thx🙂
Man I love your deep breaking, pushing it to the limit everytime...
penkata drum
I went karting for the first time this year at a small track (1.04km). I'd never driven anything before so jumping straight into karts with twin 160cc motors was scary as all hell. It certainly made me appreciate people like you who have the skill (and balls) to take corners at 170kph. The fastest I went was about 90-100kph on a straight... Before not braking enough at the end and winding up leaving skid marks all through the gravel bank and into the pit lane entrance (thankfully not a wall).
It also made me appreciate the upper body strength of people who do this for long periods of time... My arms hurt for days afterwards.
Did u rent the car?
It gets better as you practice. It's your back that usually gives in first. For your hand you can buy racing gloves to not chaff your skin. I did a whole day of karting on 160cc in Pattaya and clubbing later. Maybe it's cuz I'm Indian and used to the humid and hot weather.
Always about you
WOW! a 250cc with 100HP.... it means about 400HP per liter (power density/swept volume) ..... Amazing number!! (even for a two stroke engine....)
4 stroke*
@@LaidBackDeveloper "even for"
its two stroke @@LaidBackDeveloper
Liter bikes make about 200hp/liter, so a 2 stroke making about 400hp/liter seems possible, but 100hp for a 250cc sounds insane. Sounds like more power than anyone would really need. 230kph on a kart must feel reeaally fast. My kart tops at 130 and already feels very fast, a bit faster than it probably should be, as I need to brake earlier than I expect.
@@LaidBackDeveloper it’s a 2 bro…
UA-cam doing great job with its recommended videos once again👍
Looks so relaxed....then you look at the numbers...that's insane!
That's more exciting than F1
Matthew Toes not at all
Juji Ide racing with a kart is 100% driver skill tho.
Little to none electronic assist, just skills
Watching paint dry is is more exciting than F1!
@@jW-kr5xn You haven't watched F1 in over a decade have you. About the only driver assist F1 cars have had in nearly 15 years has been the pit limit button.
I was stationed at Karlsruhe Ger. in 1971 and we used to go watch racing at Hockenheim every chance we could.
Aewsome video, man. This trackvision and datalogger are fantastic, perfect!!!!!!!
Incredible, beautiful on board footage! Great drive from a Champion Driver! All the best. From, Canada.
Unbelievable.. It takes a lot of talent and some big balls to drive this thing that fast... Well done, massive respect.
I guess it have to be an amazing feeling dirving a superkart. Thank you and, congrats!
The best part of this video is watching the exhaust temps.
Amazing! This is what i call real driving skills! And as some others already wrote man you do have some massive Balls! I call it pure and unfiltered motorsport as its best!
Wow... with 1:40 times, the little rocket beats a Radical RXC Turbo by about 8 seconds, despite the fairly long straight.
God I love these vids! Wish I'd never stopped racing years ago. Always wanted a superkart.
My god look at the speed 😳 theyre quick af! I wanna drive one 😂
Great driving skills sir! Man does that cart haul ass! Wow!
Your 250 CC go kart has more power than my 1100 CC fiat 😂
Bob Havertz well you gotta think of horsepower cc's are only the size of the engine... This particular 250cc could have 90-200hp while the Fiat has a maximum of 150 and weights way more
1100cc is still fucking tiny lol
RSRG well this is 2t, and this engine revs over 12000 rpm. This engine is more expensive and it will run 1/100 of the 1100 cc. Explained why is more powerful. The only engines that are reliable, powerful, with the best amount of torque, and in the meantime are tiny and light are F1 V6 T. But best engines ever are V10 and V12 though
LOL a kz karting has 44 hp vs your fiat at 100 hp. Im assuming you fiat is 1.2 tonnes so it has 80hp per tonne a kz karting has 450 hp per tonne.
@@jujiide6922 you are annoying, really. Under pretty much every comment you say that F1 2019 is amazing, but you dont realize that you are pretty much alone with that opinion
Some damn fine footage top shelf driving thank you for sharing look forward to another ⚙️👍
dude your pace is just perfect ! i saw your minimal speed in this turn 5:36 and in many laps is almost exactly the same 87-90KM/H in the same area . 4 years later... GOOD JOB

excelent video!! thanks for upload this amazing work on the road. !!
Fantastic driving, I must have a go in one of these karts before I die. Awesome stuff 👏🏼
Damn that looks fun coming from a circle track racer myself but my god I know how exposed I am at 50 and 60 mph but wow those speeds are scary fast. Rock on man!
Yep. Unless you master karting you suck and cant drive worth shit
Me , me , me
Total madness!! And I thought I was crazy driving my Super Shifter 175cc full Gas
This is so crazy man,the balls that you need to go in a kart at 200 km/h 🔥🔥🐐
bro that sound 🤤, that upshift sounds like its ghasping for air, truly beautiful.
so wonderfully pure
Thanks for the experience mate ;)
This is just so relaxing to watch. Almost meditative.
it took youtube only 15yrs to atleast recommend me a superkart vid ... and tbh im abit impressed.
I rather watch this than 2019 F1 races
oh my god. this looks like so much funn. tho i doubt ill ever do 1 of those in 250km/h i feel its enough at a 170 in a normal car :3 the axceleration looks AWESOME.
Great driving👍👏God bless you!
thanks for the video. That is crazy fast speeds for a Kart on a International Race Track. They are braver than I would ever be.
the fastest/best driving iv seen
Awesome driving !! The Kart # 3 was faster than yours in the straight, but you brake a lot later than him !! I notice that the kart is "floating" on the fast turns, because the poor downforce. I have a question, no safety belt right?? Cheers !!
no safety belt. you don't want to stay in the kart if it rolls over. same as with motorcycle
I suppose that, thanks !!
"poor downforce" yeah right, he was cornering with up to 2.3g. That takes a lot of downforce actually.
I mean that a kart will never have the same downforce as a formula.
MrPuntatacco no way. How do you get that idea? Just compare the amount and design of spoilers ...
Great fight, and a very high speed for a simple kart, incredible
Great video mate and well done on the win. I used to race Rotax Max years ago and I miss it dearly. I would love to try a Superkart someday.
Thats 145 mph for us Americans in the straights. (233ish kph) Yeesh..

180km/h in only 7 seconds INSANE
Mighty through the high speed stuff, good work.
I tried to be clever but i bow to what all y’all experience racing those monsters. Rivetting! Thanks
whats the security for this karts? I mean a kart can literally go over your kart and take off your head...
Yes correct. But these karts normally newer lift from the ground if you crash into someone. But security is pretty low...
+henrik lilja for a person wanting to drive 250cc superkart with no experience where would you recomend to start at? 100cc? 150cc? And also when did you started at?
Daniel Sandoval i started with normal karts back en 1993.. so been driving for a looong time. Depending on your age I would recommend different things. Anyway start with a normal kart without gears and learn that. Then a kart with 6 gears like a Kz2 125cc. Then earn a lot of money and buy a superkart 250 cc.
+henrik lilja Okay I'm 18 so what would you recommend? I'm currently thinking a 100cc without gears like you mentioned, but I'm open to any advice from someone who has more experience. (^□^)
Today everything is 125 cc. You could start with a rotax max 125 cc to get some cheap and good training. Most important is to find a club and a track where you can drive.
it must be insane driving a kart at these speeds
Whats more insane is that if you want to get into f1 you have to start out in Karting and slowly work your way up into the formula leagues
Think about that
Nice driving so far. I’m only4 laps in but almost perfect apexes from turn 1 resulting in a few nice overtakes and a significant stretch of the lead too. Well done!
Absolutely incredible!!!!
Wow!
Fast little thing!
Damn son, those things are really fast
Excellent video, your kart is very fast, sounds crisp on full throttle. Great driving!!
henrik lilja great work special hello from Goiânia - Goiás Brazil :)
These two guys are both in different worlds compared to the rest of the competition.
2 stroke true power !!!!! 👍
What a great video, keep the good work.
This engine sounds Glorious. Well deserved win.
That’s so ridiculously fast 😳
Great race. At top speed the second was a little better than you, was it because of transmission relation choose?
Lol he has more topspeed than the others do. Going on the corner he is not on the good place and he looses time in the corner exit because the guy in front of him has the better (ideal line)
Sure, I see that. He used this line to over take. But take a look at the back camera. At top speed you can see the second guy coming not that much but you see his top speed is higher than Henrik. At corners Henrik goes better.
IMP PP I was watching. I think the other kart was drafting up and sling shotting past. Once he overtook him he was able to put a gap during excelleration out of the following turns and break the draft.
You have some real skills man. I like your style of driving! Wish I had the funds to join you on the track! Great videos BTW!
Subbed
Awesome footage
Wow ! You will go your next level is Formula One.
Formula 3
Why does he have a lateral acceleration up to 2.1G but brakes only with 1.5G?
Der Jens It depends on the tire construction in my view. Due to the relatively low power there may not be a point in maximizing traction but definately in lateral and combined performance. Another reason could be the braking bias as the wheelbase is damn short you dont want to lose the rear at 230kph. In short the braking is not as efficient. Aerodynamics should work equally under braking and cornering because the body hardly moves. I am not that familiar with karting tires in particular, but the materials and design shouldn't compare to regular slicks on GTs or rather "normal" racecars.
Karta doesnt have abs
I’m guessing it’s because when you brake, you’re getting pushed forward from the speed you started braking with, and when accelerating/cornering the car forces you into another direction.
Damn them are some Crankin Engines!!! Looks awesome!!!
the fact that you race at hockenhiem is so cool
I can’t wait for these machines to start having green turtle shells and banana peels and mushrooms...
I think you're in a wrong dimenaion bud
Is it just me or are they going 220 kph with no seatbelt on?
Would you rather
1) slide on the tarmac while being protected by a special resistant suit
2) being crushed by 200 kg of steel and plastic while covered in fuel
@@chrissss696 nothing guarantees that you won't be crushed by the car in case of an accident but at least the seatbelt would prevent you from flying out of the car in the first place. It seems to me that it's safer that way at least if the car doesn't roll over
Nice video I Love Karts and his Sounds are awesome :)
Well done video it really gives me the sensation of speed and I'm sure the feeling you get when you are sitting in the kart is unimaginable. Also great job on answering the comments it gave me a lot information I wanted to know plus it shows you are a nice down to earth person that takes the time to answer most of the questions even though some might not be the smartest questions. One last thing is I was wondering what the power to weight ratio was with your weight and the weight of the kart I'm sure it's incredible. Also before I forget I love the tachometer because it shows when the power band comes on the meter turns red then you rev it even more and you clearly hear the engine hit it's powercurve it's just symphony to my ears :)
Still faster than the 2018/19 Williams

Awesome! Where's Halo????
What tires do you use? Aren't regular kart tyres only rated up to like 200kph?
We run Dunlop 6" tyres which are made for Superkart.
henrik lilja Nice driving, what kind of suspension ? :)
Qazdar Karim there is no suspension. Its like a normal gokart with Steel tube frame
henrik lilja Thanks :)
henrik lilja boi how much do these karts kost? Or do you have a good cheap racing kart for beginners? And are the supercars actually team sponsored? Or do you have to pay and if you have to pay "read first question"
You guys are CRAZY!!!!!!
Well done, great race. But the number 3 seems to have more power, it shows at the beginning of the race when you pass the first right turn in 4, you pass faster but it has much more acceleration! The driving compare to the power, nice race again 🤙🏼✌🏼
That kart is faster than the 2020 ferrari
