She spoke to David Poland in NY, 9 blocks from the Broadway theater where she has taken on the role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret, about her career, her helicopter, and living a life.

I have watched this interview like 50 times now, it's so good! The interviewer is great and Emma is just funny and amazing as always. Its imperfectly perfect. And now she's in the academy!

she’s so down to earth, seems really charming and funny and charismatic. she doesn’t try to be perfect bc she knows she isn’t and she’s a really good actor. have u also noticed how every time someone compliments her on something she tells you about the people who helped her get there. I love her

I saw her in Cabaret and honestly it was the most incredible experience i've had with theater. she was absolutely magical and I was moved to tears. I am so glad she is showing us this side. stone is just incredibly talented and a joy to watch on screen and off.

Well i mean when you look at her path she is very lucky almost every film of hers worked out and didn't set her back as a lot of actors' do. She's not like her good friend jennifer lawrence who got oscars at 21 (thanks to weinstein according to her) but with each solid step getting one just before 30 is something else too

It’s kinda sad to hear how much she loved Cameron Crowe whilst knowing (now) how much backlash that movie ended up getting. She shouldn’t have been cast as someone who was a quarter Asian. Hopefully it didn’t taint their relationship, or turn her off his work.

I don't even know how to thank you for interviewing her. She's one of my favorite actresses and one of the people I admire the most. I'm currently studying Journalism at college and I swear I strive to have even half of the ability you have with words when interviewing people. Honestly, sometimes I spend hours watching your interviews. I so want to do it too for the rest of my life.
I just suggest to watch Jose Ronstadt if you are interested in skills in interviewing people.

I loved her reaction when she inadvertly spoiled The Amazing Spiderman 2. Also, her reaction about a possible (at the time this was recorded) Oscar nomination.
Her husky voice gives me chills and goosebumps . She is so freaking smart , adorable and cute .
I really love how this interviewer's engaging process--respect & genuine curiosity about the person in relation to their work, values, life-interests, impacts of fame, etc ('being a human person"), his crafts/film processes-knowledge, appreciation of talents--makes the space for the interview-ee to just CONVERSE/think aloud, join-in wondering about & laugh...I also love how willing Emily is to reciprocate & share earnestly-as-she-can & that she takes his earnestness in his work seriously.
