Control biyym 1 cup, pesarapappu 1 cup, vepu, 4 cups water, salt, neyyi 1/2, pachchi mirchi, allam tharugu, karivepaku, 3 tbs jeedipappu, 1tbs, jeelakarra, 1tbs miriyalu, 2 pinch inguva 👌👌👌😋😋

We had this Pongal in DD colony Sai Baba temple and my husband became big fan of Pongal. I tried it today after watching Vismai food Pongal recipe followed as it is it turned out to be super yummy and came out in temple style.
Here is the few tips from my personal experience.
1. I made Pongal with sonamasuri rice and it didn't come as soft then I transferred rice and daal to pressure cooker and after 3 whistles it turned to perfect consistency.
2. Added one spoon ghee on top of Pongal turned to be delicious and smell was like heaven.
3. Serve with sambar if you're making it for breakfast lunch or dinner.

hey I tried this too a couple weeks back and it was very close to what I would normally get at a restaurant. However I used some sona masoori rice but it turned out great. The taste was spot on. Will be closely watching for more such mouth watering South Indian breakfast recipes

I have tried the same recipe. In a cup , I added 50-60% rice 50-40% Dahl and at the end, I added 50% ghee tadka. It tasted really well. If I had added a little more ghee it would have been like Tirupati katte pongal prasadam.

One cup rice and one cup Dal took 8 cups of water..also felt Dal should be little lesser than rice..may be half daal or 3/4th would be right I guess. Your videos and presentation rocks always 👍
