- This is Timothy Bannon. He was born without arms. I met him at the Nubability Athletics Camp in Du Quoin, IL, last week where I served as the Strength and Conditioning Head Coach. He tried several times and was getting frustrated. But he overcame his fears and self-doubt and nailed this 20” box jump!

The reason he has trouble jumping is he has no arms to increase the height by lifting it. But he still did it. What a good man.

@@TheAcidicMolotov he has a lot less upper body strength to swing too. It's not just the arms. Plus the fear of falling and fear of failure in general, being young, etc. There's more context I'm sure hence the emotion. Easier said than done having all the experience of growing up with arms.

First of all I never said that him jumping on a box will make him more braver. All I said was that he’s brave because he can’t protect himself from a fall. Yes this jump doesn’t look that much. But he doesn’t have any arms for him to increase the height and again he could potentially splat his face to the ground

I sent this video to my sister. her baby girl was born with a leg shorter than the other. Baby girl just turned 1 year old. We have a long journey ahead...we worry about bullying and if she will be ok in the world when we are no longer here....I sent her this video...there are still good people in this world and we pray that children such as this young man right here come across wonderful people like them....this video is inspiring. tysm for this. Me and a friend were fishing when I showed him this young man jump onto the box. Billy my friend said "Big deal."
I told him that next time that young man doubts himself he'll remember that day he successfully jumped onto the box. Don't give up on yourself. He agreed.
When he jumped onto the box, i literally visualized him victoriously raising arms up.
