This is my favorite Twenty One Pilots song. My story has been one of loss and grief, and this song is Tyler's own grief channeled into a song. Really speaks to me and plucks that chord. The soundtrack alone for Arcane season 2 (not to detract from season 1 either) is insane. Blood Sweat & Tears, Heavy is the Crown, Sucker, Isha's Song, and of course The Line. They were smart to couple good songs with the show. They compliment one another.

There's theories that Clancy is turning into a Bishop. This song makes me lean toward agreeing with those theories, because to me, it sounds like Clancy is at the top of the tower, fighting Blurryface, and he's losing. He still isn't strong enough. "I thought I was fully prepared for the threshold in store." "I guess I never really faced my fears before." "Keep the memories of who I was before."

I wonder how Tyler connects things on so many levels. He perfectly merges the series, the Clancy lore, and the real life. But all I can think about now it's the sound of life supporting system, what you could hear in the background of the first verse, and the the backing vocals sayig "time time" what could possibly mean a call from the otherside to leave these world. P.S. I also see some kind of connection with "Next semester" in a different level. For example, the line could be the dash in the street, the light shining on his face is "those lights would take me home", facing fears and so on... Stay alive |-/
