I would say it accomplished good will to Kim Jong Un and showed him that the President is serious about opening up a dialogue to broker peace. Right now I think both leaders are doing their best to establish trust which is a really big step. Give it some time and maybe when we have established that he can trust us not to try and kill him. Maybe then we can try to open conversations about a better way for his people. This is just the first few steps in this process but the President is doing what others should have done long ago.
