Yes ma’am!! I needed to see this!! Literally 3 months post transplant (kidney/pancreas) and I need to get back into my fitness routine! Its easy to get comfortable being sedentary because of how exhausted I was while on dialysis, but now its to time to get BACK 2 ME!! ♥️ U definitely have a new subbie!! ❤

Aw, thank you so much. I truly appreciate the love and support. But please take your time to recover. I know you feel like you have all the energy in the world, but make sure you’re fully recovered and your doctor approves you to start working out again.

So apt 💯. Exactly no one prepared us for the journey post transplant and the finances are draining. I really need help with drugs right now.

After my transplant about a year ago, I have so much more energy! I bought a meta quest 3 and do the Les Mills body combat workouts. Also getting my fistula out next week so I can lift weights again.

Thanks! This was helpful. Thank goodness I have a lot of things you mentioned checked off. I got my kidney in early April and I start back to work tomorrow which is causing me some anxiety. But I know everything will happen as it needs to. And yes, there are a lot of unknown things that they never cover in the education class when you start out. Like I had to deal with a case of hydrocele as soon as I got discharged. And that is strictly a guy's thing. Nothing throws you off more than looking down and seeing your scrotum the size of a grapefruit the day you were supposed to be heading home! It has just gotten back to normal size. Then there is the Prograff side effects. I was on such a high dose that I was shaking like Michael J Fox. So they did decrease my dosage and started me on Bella last month. But just last week my BK virus numbers skyrocketed. So now I had to go in for an infusion. So it seems like just when you scale one mountain top you get kicked back down into a valley and have to face another mountain. And I am only three months out from my transplant. But I am still being faithful and meticulous about any symptoms or side effects that I am noticing and being transparent with my transplant team. But I am very thankful not to be dealing with in-center or PD any longer! Grateful for every victory!

in the beginning you will have lots of ups and downs until things normalize. Yes I agree its better than dialysis. I pray all goes well for you in this next season of your life. Stay strong!
