It took about 10 videos to watch until I found yours. Your way was by far the easiest, stress free way to pop open my blind! After a few exhausting attempts to pop up the roof, 1st per package instructions. 😓 thnx!
I was bow hunting wild turkey two years ago, when I had my pin on a strutting tom. My mistake was, I didn’t realize that I had drifted over my knee, while following it, & upon letting my arrow fly, my cam, painfully hit my knee, launching the bow up like a spring, & my arrow harpooned one of my hubs rods, dead center, & I had to replace it. I’ve now gotten two Tom turkeys from my double bull delux blind, my first one was my first turkey ever, & I pulled it off with my bow!!!
@@raisedhunting Having issues now where the turkey hangs up, & will not come into the decoy set up. I'm just not willing to try a 40+ yard shot with a turkey, wanting an ethical shot.
@@L2FlyMN Easterns in our experience are the toughest. They typically learn very quick meaning you only have one chance to get them in to your setup and have them act like they are supposed to. 1st suggestion would be to try and do plenty of pre season scouting and make sure you are in the right spot on opening day. Also make sure your decoys are realistic and close no further then 12 yards. Something like a "struttn 360" that adds a little movement to your decoys can also really help convince stubborn turkeys that your setup is legit.
I have the smack down By Primos/ Double Bull made for Cabelas . Been struggling with setting it up so i will give this a shot. thanks for the video. Raised Hunting is a great family hunting show. God Bless..
I used this blind for deer hunting this season ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 and will use it again for turkey this coming April 19'. The only common sense thing I recommend is wear all black to cover your upper body considering the inside of the blind is black and dont open unnecessary windows to silhouette yourself. Other then that, spray some water proof spray on the seams and roof. Dont forget your comfy chair, happy hunting.
after popping the one side out if you stack the other hubs in the palm of ur hand and hold on to the hub you just popped out and just push out and up on the pile of hubs, but it works best if you make sure and hold the only hub that's already popped out in your other hand
How is that surround view handle in the wind? I would use this for deer hunting and sometimes you just need to block that cold breeze! To me it feels like wind would blow right through it
Harry Pouncey just buy a backpacking frame. Like they use to mount the large cross country backpackers use. Its light weight and has straps on them to hold the blind.
Didn't work. Roof hub partially expanded then buried itself somewhere in the middle of all the hubs. Hardest blind I have ever dealt with. If I get it set up it will never be moved.
@@raisedhunting I had the side hubs in one hand as I tried to push the ceiling hub out. Once I got the roof hub to partially expand I had to collapse a side hub and disconnect the roof hub to straighten it out and reconnect them to get it to expand correctly. A two man job.
The critical move is not really shown. Gets one side open, grabs all the remaining hubs, and . . . pushes? It ain't gonna work just like that, I can tell ya'. There's more to it, and whatever the "trick" is, it ain't shown here. But do it that way, whatever , "every time." That part I got. We just put one up. It was hell. Contrary to the video, the second "side" popped was the roof. He said any side but the roof, but all his sides seemed to pop at once. Somehow, and not shown how.
Yeah, this video is very misleading. I just got my DB blind home and got my workout in getting it set up. PRIMOS actually has a video which instructs to open the first wall by pulling on the hub from the OUTSIDE, and then expanding the ROOF panel NEXT. So much easier, and it makes one wonder why Primos doesn’t put this in their instructions.

Ahh, I love getting on my hands and knees in the brush, and throwing my new blind up in the air like a child’s toy.

Congrats thats awesome! I bet that hurt though, we have made that same mistake, it does not feel good!

@@L2FlyMN Your a good ethical man! Are they easterns, do they receive much pressure?
@@raisedhunting Yes, they are eastern, & pressure is mild to medium.

Good job. Concise tips.

so helpful!

Where can I get that backpack or what brand is it in try the one you showed didn’t work

I wish we could help you with that but we have not personally used it.
I know this is old but what pack are you using to carry it ? That's pretty slick... anyone ??
He probably customized it for his tent. My thoughts.
What backpack is it that you use to strap your double bull down on?
that is a back by Primos however they have recently quit making it.
Raised Hunting Well that sucks.

If you have a surround view blind, check out my video on some modifications ua-cam.com/video/FXvZgOxlHM8/v-deo.html

Did you have the hubs all together, or were they over top of themselves?

First time I set up a ground blind, you could have cooked a Thanksgiving dinner faster! 😡. Now I know. Where did I leave that blind anyway?!?
