Damn Good Life Damn right!!! And I bet everyone who claims they can't stand her now, when she's dead and gone, they will all be changing their tune about how sad they are that she's gone, blah, blah blah, I mean, look at Prince, HE caused a lot of controversy back in the 80s, now that he's gone, he's a legend. It just makes me want to throw up, too many gossipy people out there!!!! And while I'm at it, WHY does anyone want to watch Wendy Williams????

One of her finest songs. It's so refreshing to hear Madonna pure vocals and with a simple, stripped back melody. As much as I love her dance tracks, it's her ballads that show the true artist she is.

I've actually never listened to Madonna. Known of her of course, but I've never listened to her music.
But this is really beautiful. Like the lead singer of The Killers, her voice isn't always pitch perfect and it wavers and so on and so forth. But also like the Killers, it sounds like it fits. It adds to the vulnerablity and musical uniqueness of each song.
I really listened to the lyrics of this one, and it hit a nerve. She explained what a lot of people in and out of the media spotlight must feel like a lot of the time, in a way that didn't make me pity them, but understand and respect them.
I really enjoyed it, it was different- different is good :)

It was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I have been a fan of hers since childhood. I still have the album Madonna, Madonna. I love her new music as well. Ghost town is hauntingly beautiful. 5 years later and REBEL HEART as an album still sounds so fresh, raw, layered, textured, experimental.... yes MADAME X is incredible in every way but the way REbeL HEART was leaked months early, the way Madonna at 57 could still compose and organise the era so well amidst all the chaos ... performances like this, and the songs and music truly showcased what she is still capable of .... this song should have been a single with a video honestly one of the most timeless recordings i have heard

Mesmerizing performance. She sings with a voice full of emotions, being absolutely sincere and desperately seeking for expressing through a song what can't be expressed well enough with normal words. I feel she is singing about everything we feel and don't like to say or don't know exactly how to explain. We have all felt this, as if we were alone against the world, acting as some kind of soldier, pretending to be strong enough to face life, but deep inside, we're just some romantic creatures who don't like to fight and only want to hear a word of kindness or just an embrace. I love Madonna when she is not afraid of expressing her deepest feelings and fears, because I feel she is singing about mine too.

Absolutely. People seem incapable of making the distinction between a great voice and a great singer. Madonna has always been a great singer, not a great voice. She lives her music, tells a story, transmits authentic, deeply felt emotions. When you think of Madonna as the queen of pop, it's almost unfathomable to consider her inventiveness in pop lyricism,
constantly pushing boundaries and setting the stage for other artists. Albums like Erotica, Ray of Light and Confessions cement her stardom and versatility, playing with genre, electronica, dance, disco and avant-garde style in her videos.

Madonna is such an underrated singer. People like to bash on her singing abilities when they themselves never even listened to the Ray of Light and Evita Era. Sure she's not perfect in pitch, but makes up for it with emotion and sang this pretty well. Her vocal range is obviously on par with Whitney, or Mariah but it's better than average. Her voice is unique and her vibrato is really nice here.

Madonna's maturity as a singer, songwriter and producer is more evident than ever on this song and the entire "Rebel Heart" album. It's simply one of her best albums in a 33+ year career and counting! There are so many fantastic songs & lyrics with great production values, as she's always given us. I love her in this song, especially with this more "unplugged"/acoustic version of "JoA"... it really allows her to be vulnerable and tell her truth of living life as arguably the most famous woman in the world going on 3 1/2 decades now. Do you know how rare she is, what it takes to survive and thrive in a business that we've seen eat up people and even kill them. As we've so tragically seen in the past several years. Many of her peers, some might say musical rivals are gone, either from the business or gone from us. Especially Whitney Houston & Michael Jackson come to mind...Amazing talents that were once as famous, successful as M, but couldn't sustain it and self destructed..huge losses. I'm going to keep being thankful that Madonna is still as energetic, creative, ambitious and engaged as she is. To me she's a gift from above for sure!

This song is still one of my favourites on that amazing album, just today I listened to it maybe 5 times already. Rebel Heart was a truly phenomenal pop masterpiece! I wish she would do something like that again. And I wish in her public appearances she would just show her true self and be vulnerable like this instead of trying hard all the time...

Madonna, the Queen of Pop forever. Pop stars come and go and she's still on top of the game after 33 years, 350 million records sold worldwide and a legacy that 99% of her competitors can only dream of... And by the way, when someone says: YES, she has been around for 100 years, that is just a fucking excuse. By 1988, just five years after her first album was released, she was already breaking any kind of records: Like a Virgin was the first album ever to be certified FIVE TIMES platinum and True Blue was on its way to become one of the highest selling albums ever.... And then Like a Prayer, Ray of Light, Music, COADF, kickass tours... Most of today's pop stars are already dissapearing after three albums and six or seven hits... Dare to dream haters. She's already a legend.

I am not too much into Madonna and never had be an "fan" but must to admit she WAS & STILL the Great Lady of pop music. I am not american and she is not my idol, but reading all the unfair comments below from (probably) too much young folks to know singers born before Lady Gaga and cie, they must would prefer false heroes like Honey Booboo, Kardashian's and all the "new" bullsh*ts made only for fame and no even talented...
Shame on you ! Sometimes I ask myself what would be your future in a world where a beautiful text and a great singer to rend it would not exist anymore. Think about it twice before spread your hatefull messages about a such powerful self-made woman, artist and mother.

      Ghosttown
