Grant Amato is by far the creepiest and most uncomfortable interrogation I've seen. Simp so hard you kill your whole family. The part where his brother comes in is just awful.
Somewhat agree, but hindsight is 20/20. For all the kind brother knew the Japan trip would pull him out of his destructive mindset and he would straighten up, go back to work, slowly pay his family back, etc.
I’m not sure if you have dealt with loved ones with addiction but it’s very hard not to enable them. Even if the addiction is as silly as this. Personally, I’d have my bank account tided down much more tied down than his dad did so that way he only fucked himself financially but let him not be homeless in the house.

Some compelling reason (mainly his 1940’s Delta Drill press belt-guard shaped head) propelled me into watching most of the trial which is on another channel. I watched the first chunk of his interrogation and I thought that there was no way he hadn't been made aware or hadn't asked why he was there. Why on Earth would you not ask why you're being brought to a police station and talk to? If he was trying to be innocent that was probably the stupidest thing to do. Obviously you don't want to outright say "I didn't kill anyone! " but it's perfectly normal to ask "so why do you need to talk to me is everything okay?"

Hey Scott, I highly suggest doing the interrogation of former chief of police James Hanzey on your channel. He was chief of police for some rural hick town in Ohio called Buckeye Lake. He was fired for not working his hours but getting paid, stealing checks for their ambulance fund, a whole bunch of nonsense. But the interrogation is such a wealth of comedy material. Then he got thrown out of the town hall meeting for yelling, cursing, and acting a fool. So much of the commentary I've seen is about his rotund body with skinny arms. Your review would be absolutely hilarious. Entire interrogation is on Mob Reporter's channel.

What resonates with me about Amato is the "I kind of get it" when his family has a problem with his behaviour. He must feel so lonely, such an unwanted misfit of a human that when he finally finds a woman to bond with he can't really understand why anyone has a problem with it.
I think I’d be way beyond the “go to rehab” convo with my Dad if I did that. Losing his absolute shit, wouldn’t even come close. Getting ‘cast out’ would be the least of my problems. 😳

They competed on who gave her the biggest tip at the end of each session, and grant apologises for always out-tipping the others. 🙄 Dude is insane.

Admittedly, they still have a selection of american junk food, and I'm sure that's what he lived off of. Not sure wtf Grant is talking about when he said the reason they didn't eat any local food is because he wasn't wanting to impose or whatever. Japan's tourism is huge, and as long as you are respectful, why wouldn't they want your money?

Hey Scott, I highly suggest doing the interrogation of former chief of police James Hanzey on your channel. He was chief of police for some rural hick town in Ohio called Buckeye Lake. He was fired for not working his hours but getting paid, stealing checks for their ambulance fund, a whole bunch of nonsense. But the interrogation is such a wealth of comedy material. Then he got thrown out of the town hall meeting for yelling, cursing, and acting a fool. So much of the commentary I've seen is about his rotund body with skinny arms. Your review would be absolutely hilarious. Entire interrogation is on Mob Reporter's channel.

What resonates with me about Amato is the "I kind of get it" when his family has a problem with his behaviour. He must feel so lonely, such an unwanted misfit of a human that when he finally finds a woman to bond with he can't really understand why anyone has a problem with it.

Apparently this chick had a whole group of regular followers who grant considered "friends". There's a letter he wrote them apologising for all the lies and misrepresentations, etc. It was the weirdest shit you can ever see. They competed on who gave her the biggest tip at the end of each session, and grant apologises for always out-tipping the others. 🙄
