Woah super late upload lol I’ll take it. Oh because you’re on the east coast so it’s midnight over there. Nice gotta get it uploaded right away with that embargo 👍
Live stream yesterday, then wake up to review of a cool car this morning. I just can't like the back end, but overall I'm really impressed with this car..
Reminds me of the early Infiniti J30, a little better executed by Hyundai but still not that appealing. I think this type of body design will probably not age very well. Great review as usual Matt! 👍
Been waiting all day for this and watching after an EV9 review, it's still very cool. Great to see Kirk with you again. I saw all my local Hyundai dealers have Ioniq 6s in stock (with $5-7k markups of course). I can't wait to deliver and drive one to a client. I think I want to get a RWD SEL model next year.
You and Kirk matched that interior perfectly. The Ionic 6 looks really nice. I’m generally a fan of the styling but the rear end looks really heavy. I think that the Infiniti J30 or Saab products executed that a bit better. Where in AZ were you guys? Outside Fountain Hills? I hope you enjoyed your stay and the weather. It’s been beautiful and the sun is starting to come out again with me warmth for the spring.
Yeah we stayed in the Scottsdale area and did hours of driving all over. I always like coming to Arizona, but the rain this time definitely made it a little challenging to film some parts.
Matt, this is the video I've been waiting for for quite a while. What are your thoughts between this and the GV60 as far as overall ownership? Also did you get official confirmation of the heat pump, because I reached out to Hyundai and they never gave me a straight answer on this.
I’d say GV60 still feels more luxurious in some ways but it’s not a big difference to me, so it’ll come down to whether you care about the extra range I guess and other subjective things. If you have any follow-up questions about the comparison let me know! Heat pump I believe they talked about which is why I mentioned it in the video, and the 5 has it so I don’t see any reason why this wouldn’t get it.
Stayed up until midnight to see this video when it became available. Interesting vehicle. "Push the button and it turns right on." (instead of it starts right up).
It was great to drive the Ioniq 6 with you! Next time we'll get sun 😂
Thanks Kirk, it was great driving with you too!
Can’t wait for all the content this week! Also getting mad Infiniti J30t vibes from the rear.
Wow I totally forgot about that car but you’re right!

Haha thanks for watching even though it's late!
The styling has like TT vibes a bit. I’m down for it.
A midnight embargo lift? Lol wtf Hyundai
Yeah I don't understand these late ones either lol.
Al Gore Rhythm comment
Took me a minute to get this lol
The N" version is going to rip your face off!

Thanks for all the support Raphael, I always appreciate it!

I agree with you on the "Porsche inspired back end." But you showed a picture of the wrong Porsche for comparison with the Ionic 6.
This thing looks absolutely nuts, I love it. J30t forever.
Great review. Better route planning with ISO15118 plug and charge would make this a much better vehicle. Hopefully they get those notes for next year

Rwd SEL is a range beast!
There is just Something about it...just doesn't do it for me...
My dealer had one on the lot and it definitely made me stop and look. The rear reminds me of the Infiniti J30.
Yeah someone else mentioned that too, the tail light resemblance is uncanny haha.

It’s very weird looking that’s for sure
the Hyundai logo represents 2 men shaking hands
First thing I notice when you drive, very noisy 😅
Give me the base rwd for 30k.
Also those 20s look pretty sharp for factory wheels!
A shorter two door 6 + solar roof and i am in.
Too me it looks like a modern Saab, which I mean as a complement. Probably polarizing but I like that it look unique and aerodynamic.
rear wing giving me saab 900 vibes
Yeah true, I forgot to mention that one too.
My German First Edition model has a HUD, and I thought it would be available in the US also.
Hey Matt, Hope u get to drive the BMW m240ix or 230xdrive coupe for 2023.
Cla side profile
I want to see a comparison between Sonata back seat and this. I think the complaints might be over blown or just trying to justify choosing the SUV.
I like the looks of this over the ioniq5 but the ev6 to me looks the best
Looks like a Citroen DS

Thanks for staying up Jazz! I really appreciate it!
Seems like a pretty solid EV, I think that I prefer the styling on the Ev5. Great review Matt
Thanks Jack!
Bro i looooove this thing
Great collaboration!!! @KirkKreifels well done!
