I think we talked about The Uninvited when you went live about a month ago. Excellent movie and you're right, I also prefer it over The Haunting and The Innocents. I'm going to check out the others you mentioned. Thanks man!
Fantastic picks! I have 4 out of 5 of those films in my collection, but I do not have The Incredible Shrinking Man. I need to consider that film in the upcoming sale. So glad you mentioned Cluny Brown as it’s such a great film!
Definitely Clunny Brown is just a treat. I saw this film many times (Indeed I saw Lubitsch's films many times) and I''ve always found Clunny to be also a Bleak film about "upper class" and "working class". A wonderful film about hypocrisy. Keep on watching great films (they are good for your health) and Greetings from Spain 🎈
Cluny does love that plumbing! I've never related more to character when Cluny and her just wanting to fix things and get her hands on things. I love all your picks and completely agree that more people should check them out.
Love The Uninvited. It’s referenced in Poltergeist as a clue that it’s not over during the first scene of the final act (the moving van scene) wherein the mother (JoBeth Williams) says: “Ah! Smell that mimosa!” Heheh But…yeah, as much as I love it, I love The Haunting much more. Cheers! ❤️
I have the middle three. I have loved THE UNINVITED for 30 years. It is one of the 4 greatest haunted house movies of all-time: THE UNINVITED, THE INNOCENTS, THE HAUNTING, and THE CHANGELING.
I love _Stella by Starlight_ but never knew it was from a movie. I've never even heard of The Uninvited - sounds great! now I have to find it and watch it this weekend. 👍
Out of interest according to what definition are these underrated for you? The ratings of the films themselves on websites like imdb, criterion sales figures or maybe films that nobody really talks about on youtube? You can't just say it's just opinion and anything can be under or overrated as that's just makes it meaningless. You might as well just say 5 recommended criterions. Could you really argue for example that any of the top 10 on the imdb best films of all times list are underrated? Btw I enjoyed the video I just wish I knew why you think these are underrated as that would add more meaning to the video.
Thanks the feedback. Well, as I said in the video, these are just blu-rays that I haven’t heard or seen a lot of online discussion about since they came out. This isn’t scientific or anything serious, it’s just a springboard to have discussion about movies. Thanks for watching!
@@cobwebschannel Fair point! My mind must have glazed over for a bit after the initial comments due to an excess of other videos discussing underrated films with no context as to why. My apologies.

Thanks Andy! You’re the man!

Dude! So cool to meet another Lubitsch fan!

Great point. So many comedies from that period are full of class commentary due to the Depression. Thanks for checking in, as always!
Cool man! Liking your content. I havent seen 4 of these. Good stuff my man. Stay Rad
Thanks Garrett! Really appreciate you stopping by and the kind words!
The background is great! The Incredible Shrinking Man is a favorite of mine.
Awesome, thank you! Yeah it’s a top 5 ‘50s sci/fi movie for me, easy.

Anyone who relates with Cluny is cool!
Been meaning to watch Shrinking Man and Uninvited for a long long time
Hey Hayden! I think you’ll dig them, for sure.

Great idea for "underrated" series.
Adding all these to my wish list. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for the support! Hope you enjoy these flicks.

Nice! Hope you enjoy!
In addition to The Uninvited, I would add The Honeymoon Killers and Make Way for Tomorrow.
Thanks, I haven’t seen them so I’ll add them to my list!
"Incredible Shrinking Man" -- written by the prolific Richard Matheson.

No worries! I can understand feeling overwhelmed with movie recommendations these days. haha
Underappreciated, not underrated.
