I really liked how you gave almost all of the Young Thug songs that were in album bomb rules a tiny blurb. Personally I think doing that more in the future’d be a good middle ground for the people who miss you going over all the debuts and the people tired of album bombs, especially in cases like say, Meek Mill and Young Thug where you don’t review the albums

In defense of Juicy by Doja and Tyga, the original album version without Tyga is much, much better. Most of Doja's personality is stripped away once the second verse is taken out. Doja's a very playful person (see: Moo!, her making a song about how waffles are better than pancakes etc etc) so I'm not convinced that the shitty special effects were supposed to be for shock value or sexiness or whatever, its just that everyone interprets that way because they don't know much about Doja outside this video.
The remix to 'My Type' with City Girls and Jhene Aiko of all people was just released, hopefully it's enough to boost the song into the Top 20 in a couple weeks after the Taylor bomb.
Gee, I am so happy that "Senorita" went to number one. I really do like the song now. Actually the top 3 is pretty good right now in my view. "Motivation" by Normani sounds like a late 1990s/2000s pop R 'n' B banger, genuinely excited to see what she does on that debut album tbh. I wish Mannequin Challenge charted, it's the best song on Thugger's album and has one of Juice Wrld's best performances (he's much better as a feature rapper than his own music)

Especially when other songs of hers like 'Go to Town' and 'Tia Tamera' could've charted instead, which in the latter case has Rico Nasty on it who was recently on this years XXL Freshman list.

Well.... no not really. Moving from a time signature containing 3 crotchets (or « quarter notes » as you Americans call it) to 2 or 4 would be PRETTY jarring. 3/4 is simple time, 6/8 & 12/8 are compound Time. They’re very different.

I would personally say that "Love on the Brain" is in 6/8 while "Kiss from a Rose" is in 3/4, but if you flipped those two around I wouldn't call you wrong. The point I was trying to make is that the song's in a 3/4 base time signature rather than common or cut time, and that's unusual for a pop song
I think the 2 weeks or so it will be señorita vs truth hurts vs ransom for number 1. Probably until Post Malone release his new album and some song takes off from it. I which I think will be the biggest album bomb we get this year. I think he will do much more streaming then Taylor Swift. But we will see.

I'm actually really happy that, "Only Human" is getting close to hitting the top 40. It's the only song from the album that I would consider to be good since it actually has a fun vocal melody that doesn't feel too stiff and stale, it's got pretty complex instrumentation(according to genius, fourteen people play instruments on the track) that's really enjoyable and I think it's really refreshing to have a pop song that's actually fun charting. It's like Sucker but more fun. By the way, I have music on my channel that I would really appreciate feeback on. I make alternitave hip hop and electronic music.
@Nick Cruz I know the lyrics are bad, but Mo Bamba, Megan The Stallion's entire 2019 album and Playboi Carti's entire 2018 album also have bad lyrics. Everyone gives those a pass for their lyrical content since they like how they sound. Since we give trap rap a pass for terrible lyrics so much, I think it's only fair to give a pop song a pass for having terrible lyrics in order to not have a double slandered.

This week was a better then the last 3 weeks. The gains and losers were pretty good. Two big songs left. A nice return and some nice new songs. Lover is now my favorite new song and slide away was great. Every little thing and won’t be late we’re equally bad. Motivation has a great music video but didn’t really like the song. Heartless was a wired new song. Young thing had a solid album. The top 10 still sucks. Overall this week was a 7 for me.

Watching an interview with him it's clear to me he exists in his own plane of reality and doesn't mesh well with others. He even confirmed he didn't want to be on Havana until his aunt asked him to.
The London is his song for one, and I think often he brings a unique quality to songs that makes them stand out. I though on Havana he spiced that track up, and on goodbyes he had a nice contrast with post. Just my take

I really liked how you gave almost all of the Young Thug songs that were in album bomb rules a tiny blurb. Personally I think doing that more in the future’d be a good middle ground for the people who miss you going over all the debuts and the people tired of album bombs, especially in cases like say, Meek Mill and Young Thug where you don’t review the albums

In defense of Juicy by Doja and Tyga, the original album version without Tyga is much, much better. Most of Doja's personality is stripped away once the second verse is taken out. Doja's a very playful person (see: Moo!, her making a song about how waffles are better than pancakes etc etc) so I'm not convinced that the shitty special effects were supposed to be for shock value or sexiness or whatever, its just that everyone interprets that way because they don't know much about Doja outside this video.
The remix to 'My Type' with City Girls and Jhene Aiko of all people was just released, hopefully it's enough to boost the song into the Top 20 in a couple weeks after the Taylor bomb.
Gee, I am so happy that "Senorita" went to number one. I really do like the song now. Actually the top 3 is pretty good right now in my view. "Motivation" by Normani sounds like a late 1990s/2000s pop R 'n' B banger, genuinely excited to see what she does on that debut album tbh. Taylor Swift is a fair chance at lodging all 16 new songs on the Hot 100 next week. given tnumbers I have seen plus she is playing the streaming game which is why the album is 18 songs!.

As someone who likes Doja Cat, it's a shame that a Tyga remix of one of her songs was the one that charted, though I'm sure the music video was more of the reason why. Well.... no not really. Moving from a time signature containing 3 crotchets (or « quarter notes » as you Americans call it) to 2 or 4 would be PRETTY jarring. 3/4 is simple time, 6/8 & 12/8 are compound Time. They’re very different.

I would personally say that "Love on the Brain" is in 6/8 while "Kiss from a Rose" is in 3/4, but if you flipped those two around I wouldn't call you wrong. The point I was trying to make is that the song's in a 3/4 base time signature rather than common or cut time, and that's unusual for a pop song

I actually kind of like it, it definitely grew on me. Its still on because of radio
I'm actually really happy that, "Only Human" is getting close to hitting the top 40. It's the only song from the album that I would consider to be good since it actually has a fun vocal melody that doesn't feel too stiff and stale, it's got pretty complex instrumentation(according to genius, fourteen people play instruments on the track) that's really enjoyable and I think it's really refreshing to have a pop song that's actually fun charting. It's like Sucker but more fun. By the way, I have music on my channel that I would really appreciate feeback on. I make alternitave hip hop and electronic music.
@Nick Cruz I know the lyrics are bad, but Mo Bamba, Megan The Stallion's entire 2019 album and Playboi Carti's entire 2018 album also have bad lyrics. Everyone gives those a pass for their lyrical content since they like how they sound. Since we give trap rap a pass for terrible lyrics so much, I think it's only fair to give a pop song a pass for having terrible lyrics in order to not have a double slandered.
@Nick Cruz I think it has a good instrumental. I usually have different opinions then everyone else(I love Have It All by Jason Mraz and I hate Mo Bamba) so that might be why I like Only Human.

It was good! Dude's made far better, and there's no song that hits quite like "Best Friend" or "Wyclef Jean", but it slaps

Lover is now my favorite new song and slide away was great.

Motivation has a great music video but didn’t really like the song.
Heartless was a wired new song.
Young thing had a solid album.
The top 10 still sucks.

Nick Cruz I feel like it was more of a good thing because getting rid of long lasting songs gives new songs a chance to shine. Besides you can see where it lands in the top 100 best songs of 2019.

Why do you think that? She isn’t as outgoing as she used to be because she was racially bullied and has since been relatively quiet. But she does have personality - she’s sweet, a perfectionist, funny and very driven. I just wonder who you’re comparing her to when you say that, because I can name a ton of girls who I know absolutely none of their personality and yet it never seems to be an issue, like Ava Max.

Can we agree that Young Thug is a problem and he needs to stop ruining perfectly good songs with his guest verses? I really wanted to love The London and Goodbyes...
Watching an interview with him it's clear to me he exists in his own plane of reality and doesn't mesh well with others. He even confirmed he didn't want to be on Havana until his aunt asked him to.
@@jayromeo940 I actually think he fit pretty well on Havana. But on Goodbyes he just does NOT sound good.
The London is his song for one, and I think often he brings a unique quality to songs that makes them stand out. I though on Havana he spiced that track up, and on goodbyes he had a nice contrast with post. Just my take
