Blast furnace - slag crusher - rolling mill - #4 seamless pipe mill.....labor....stamper....hooker.....cropman....E.O.T. craneman. 70'-71' - 76'-79'.... Great job on the video!
me - 1/8/68 -1/8/98 retired under USS /Kobe - covered that mill from one end to the other & all in between - show that video instead of just more Blast Furnace & Iron &Steel - me - i am the "Midget " Pipefitter for 30 yrs. & unplugged many a toilets too lol - i did 12 yrs. in the Coke Plant as a pipefitter after i finished the apprenticeship because i was one of the youngest - then went back to # 1 Pipe Shop Pearl St. when we shut the Coke Plant down forever - now it is a shame what has happened to it - a way of life for so many families so many & years
It's amazing 7 miles upstream in Elyria, that river is a waterfall stream.was that a reservoir behind the river.i moved from Lorain in '77 the steel mill always fascinated me
It's time the plant is leveled and that property is put to better use. No chance it will ever operate again.
I worked there on the blastfursnce s and all over the mill I hate to see it going to rust away d Monroe 😢😮😮
I worked from one end of that mill to the other . USS/Kobe , US Steel , Republic steel. When was this filmed?
Worked as a machinist in the electric shop for over 25 years=Worked on motors that could not be brought to the electric shop. That was thru out the mill.
Hopefully, I included the electric shop in this video😊
What a "HOLE"
