There isn't a fuse between the solar panels and the controller on an LTV. If you are adding to a factory LTV, I would definitely make sure they know what they are doing.
This is being done by a very reputable company. My LTV did not come from the factory with solar if that is what you mean. I will talk with them more about this on Thursday.
Awesome idea. But, the wire nuts are not considered code on DC wires. Needs to be butt connectors or Wago style connector.

Getting ready to have solar done and I asked about this. Their response was to just pull the fuse. So why should I go this route, please?

@@JacquelineChaplin Ok, then I would have them put the on off switch between solar and controller for a much easier way to disconnect than a fuse.
Great video. If upgrading from GoPower to Victron, is the cut out in the panel the same size?
I have not made the switch, but I believe the Victron is considerably larger.
The Victron Solar Controller has a slightly larger footprint.
