I would go for light curtains with an interesting stripe or check in another accent color, green would be a great option with pink and red but I could also see blue or even golden yellow working. That way you would have a bit of a pattern but it wouldn't be too overwhelming. I would than pull out that accent color to other part of the room, with a frame, a lamp or some other piece of decor. But I love the direction you are taking it and I am excited for updates!
I think blue and white gingham curtains would be a way to get that plaid look that you're intrigued by, but without the curtains looking too autumnal. And of course, you must add a floral pattern sonewhere for that quintessential cottage look!
If we want it done right we have to do it ourselves 😂 I love the idea of plaid but maybe in a khaki color? Or a soft blue or maybe even green. I would change the bedding to white so you can add color with throws or pillows or whatever you want. Roman shades give warmth and will look great with the beautiful wood doors. Have fun with it. it’s your space ❤
