They don't sell them. I got mine at a local hardware store for $7. US Plastics has them online. Look for part number 32183. "Polypropylene Bulkhead Tank Fitting with EPDM Gaskets" They are $5.83 each there.
It was tight and it did go through. I just stopped for some off camera reason then did an edit right there. Finished the main hole in the second "clip". Looked funny in the video.
Hi. I really appreciate this video. I have one unanswered question I hope you could help me with. So you connect the pipe and open the valve to fill the tank.....Will it stop automatically when it is filled or do I need something else to make it stop after its filled....if so what can I use? please and thanks.
The bulkhead fitting you use has a washer that none of the bulkhead fittings on Amazon have. They all have the inner gasket, but not the outer washer. Just wondering where you got your fitting? Yours also looks very heavy duty in comparison to those on Amazon. And by 3/4" fitting you're talking about the inner threads to put the hose bib into?
I found a suitable one on eBay. Had the washer and the gasket, pretty beefy feeling, so I think I'm happy, but if you ever find out the brand that would be good to know.
I was trying to do this with a similar barrel but it is a little more curved. Does it matter which washer goes on the inside? I purchased a bulkhead fitting at Home depot and it came with 2 washers, a thick foamy rubber washer and a thinner hard plastic washer. I noticed in your video it looks like you used the thicker washer on the inside, is this the typical way to install it or does it matter?
I was given a white barrel so I could collect rain water. How would I connect something to collect the water off of my house? I don't have rain gutters. Any suggestions?

Thank you for showing the whole process and not skipping anything. For a visual person like me who's never done this before, this was great.
Thank you for the instructions. One water storage tank problem solved!

Great video. You must have filmed it by a crane rookery!
Thanks for the detailed and step by step explanations
Good video. I have 4 food grade barrels and was wondering how to get the valve in without being able to get to the inside. Thanks
