Steam Engine Christmas Tree Train! DM&IR 332 Steam Locomotive

- Come follow a Christmas Tree Train, powered by steam engine! Lead by DM&IR 332, we'll chase it from Duluth and up to Knife River, while being pulled by a classic steam locomotive. Its owned and operated by The North Shore Scenic Railroad, it is now back in service after a successful test run!
Beginning in Duluth, we'll first see the 332 switching, and moving around the yard, and putting its train together. After some final checks were done, and the train built, it got underway! On the way, the drone gives amazing views as the exhaust climbs into the sky. The cold air really made it look neat! It'll be great to see this engine operating for years to come!

Ngl, I'm glad this engine got to see some use following its test run earlier this month. Sure caught me by surprise when I heard the news on facebook and was glad to see the museum brought her out for the day.
It was soooo neat to see it running in the cold winter air! I'm sure it'll be around for years operating on the NSSR. Thanks for watching!
A great job - loved the Johnny Cash stand in
Glad that you enjoyed watching it! The crowd at Knife River was excited, and happy to see the 332.

I got to see this engine back in August when visiting Duluth with my dad. I do hope to see it again in operation as I’ve gotten a liking for it since it began its excursion service in the late 2010s.
Sounds like you've got a new reason to check out the museum, and see this locomotive running! :D Its soooo neat to see running, and I love its whistle. Thanks for watching!
Great video!! 👍

Excellent job!

Both engines are beautiful, and this video captured it. What a great family tradition to do at Christmas time. The shot of the train leaving Duluth was also really neat. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to see someone did a video from last weekend. This is great coverage!! Thanks for getting it on U Tube.
I appreciate the kind words, and more so that you enjoyed it! The cold air really added to the overall feel, and appearance of the steam. It was fun to make this!
Awesome!! ❤❤🌲🌲
Thank you! 😊 Glad that you enjoyed watching it!
Why the flatcar behind the tender?
That is for the Christmas trees which were loaded at Knife River. You can see them loading trees on it near the end of the video, at the depot. Thank you for watching!
Quite an eye opener as here's an active steamer I wasn't aware of.
Your shots were well composed and that whistle, oh my.
Thank you SD45.
Thank you very much, and glad that you enjoyed it! This is a neat locomotive, and I highly recommend seeing it if you have the chance.
