    Second video I have seen so far on this Channel, and Iam definitely in love with this content. Iam an old man with not so much educational story in his life but Iam willing to learn as much as I can about this topic.
    Thank you from the bottom of my heart

      You are so welcome - thanks for the kind words. I'm learning all about the world of electronics, programming and 3D printing as I go and I thoroughly enjoy it. I hope to be fortunate enough to work on this project for the majority of my time as and when I can afford to.

    Oh man..... my son and I are literally putting the finishing touches on your wall clock project today, and recently finished the drawing machine. Looks like I need to stock up on a few more Arduino Nano's.

    Love this project.
    going to watch it again in the morning. Maybe I can make the cutouts in wood on one of my lasers and then make the machine out of wood.

    • @DIYMachines
      @DIYMachines  4 роки тому

      If it's close to 3mm thick wood I couldn't see why it wouldn't work. I'd love to see one made from wood. If you do make it and don't mine sharing a photo that would be cool to see.

    Awesome project. I get not everyone has a 3d printer and you wanted to widen your audiences abilities to build one but this would have been an amazing 3d printed project. If you ever get chance to turn the templates into stls I would pay money!!

      Thanks James. It’s surprising how many people want to make a 3D printable version - I completely understand. I may well have to do a 3D printed one next year.

      @@DIYMachines Another vote for a 3d printed version. Also love your videos and how it's actually instructional and not just a "look what I built with all my knowledge".

    • @DIYMachines
      @DIYMachines  4 роки тому

      @@nacs Cheers, that's exactly why I wanted to share some projects. I had tried some other guides on UA-cam whilst learning, sometimes after investing time and money realised I was missing information or that it had some how been bodged to work for the camera - it was upsetting to waste the effort. DIY Machines is my attempt to remedy it and enjoy myself along the way. :)

    Nice! Very well done. Thanks for sharing your code my the community and for not relying on a 3d printer. I might have a whack at it with my daughter!

    Great project, had fun building it, but now I am stuck as I get error messages uploading the code "programmer not responding". When I switch the processor from ATmega328P (Old Bootloader) to just ATmega328 the upload is complete, but nothing is happening, no movement and the serial monitor is just empty. No idea what to do next :(

    in case I didnt find 180° servo motor.. can I use two 360° servo motors, if yes we will have to change the code,?? PLEASE ANSWER ME SIRE

    • @DIYMachines
      @DIYMachines  3 роки тому

      We do not have a limit switch on the chute to help us know its rotation like we do on the dispensing wheel. The 180° servo knows it's position. Because of this you can't just swap them, you would need to update the code and include a limit/homing switch.

      Hi Andrea, sorry but I wouldn't have the time to write out a python version of the code. However, I'm sure you might be able to find someone to help you - it should not be too difficult.
